From a mum of DCDA twin boys they worry you so much with those scans! At the 20 week detailed scan we got told that their leg measurements were short (femur or something or other which can be a red flag for dwarfism) after that we got regular scans because of it and were so worried for a good couple of months or so. Of course everything was fine and now aged 8 they are tall for their age and have the longest, slimmest legs ever!! I also found out that they don’t actually have measurements for twins but just have generic measurements for singletons that they use across the board! Ridiculous when you think about it really. I’m certain that everything will be fine with your boys too 🙏🏼 but I totally understand how upsetting it is.
Keeping everything crossed for you Amy🫶🏼 I’m pregnant too and the anxiety is next level. I had my growth scan the other day including tests for down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, patau’s etc and the wait is torture. I’ve to get regular scans because I’ve got a slightly high BMI, their worried baby may have a low birth weight and I’ve to take asprin daily too, you never stop worrying. I’m so glad you made this video, it makes us feel not alone, please keep us updated xxx
Same here.. I have hpb added on top and they’ve put me on aspirin too because I have small babies 4th baby and am over it every appointment makes me anxious its too much. Working and constant appointments with my 3 girlies it’s a lot. But all the best to us ladies carrying and creating life ❤🙏🏾

A little tip for you as I did this and found out the hard way - we washed babies clothes in fairy non bio and our clothes in lenor and when my son was here he was having an allergic reaction to our clothes when he was lying on us, he got a rash all over his face so we had to wash all of our clothes in fairy non bio 🙏💗💗 xx
When my youngest son was born, he was born with a hernia and i understand as i was so worried about him, he had to have operation and he is 18 now and doing so well, attending uni, playing on his xbox, making me laugh. Your boys will both be ok. Please keep us all updated as we are all here for you both and the boys, Sending hugs xx

Sorry to hear things have been a bit tough the last few days. You have every right to worry, be upset, over think, it’s perfectly acceptable to be. But what a lovely caring thing to do by sharing in hope it could help other ppl. But I’m hoping through sharing ppl can share their help with you. If you want to stay in bed do. If you want to wear pj’s all day then do. You do what makes you feel comfy and secure. I hope the appointment at the other hospital was more informative for you. it has been spotted and they are on to it. They will look after you and baby boys really well. Nothing better then seeing baby clothes drying. Such a good feeling. I loved doing it to. Your boys are going to be the best dressed babies going. Yes you can buy baby hangers. And I had dreadful heartburn and my son didn’t get hair until he was 18 months! Your in my thoughts and I am sending much love ❤️

Amy, we discovered that my now 21 year old college junior had extra urine in the kidneys in utero and when she was born we did another scan and it was completely cleared up‼️ So from my research (and believe me I am an intense researcher😊) I found out that most babies with Hydronephrosis, the kidneys tend to correct themselves, so I don’t want you to worry too much! Also rest assured that we love you and we are praying for you and the babies and o yeah Bradley of course!😊🙏🏾😊♥️

Im going to keep this positive because babies are stronger than we give them credit for im 58 and i was both a month early and back in the 60s that was not safe but here i am 58 years later and still strong sending you all big hugs and positive thoughts ❤️

My son had lots of fluid in his kidneys. They were swollen. He was born with kidney reflux and went on antibiotics and I had to catheterise him at home. He is 5 and is so much better now. They’re talking about getting him off cathing now. Your baby will be fine and if something happens, NHS is amazing, they really saved my son. Along with my mummy instincts. Xx

Your help spread awareness and support. Remember to have some time for you and Bradley because not few months are gone go so quickly and your bundle of joys gone be here . Hi Amy, I had fluid and a swollen left kidney when I was a baby it was also seen at my mums scans. I’ve got a condition called Hydronephrosis. I had to have most of my kidney removed when I was 3 months and it has developed into a full sized adult kidney (I’ve grown up for 27 years thinking I’ve got one and a bit kidney!) until a scan showed I’ve got 2 full adult sized kidneys. It’s just something that can happen so please try not to worry. I live a full life obviously I’m careful with alcohol and not holding in a wee, but it hasn’t affected me at all 😊 obviously I don’t remember the operation but I’m all good! I’m sure your bubba will be fine ❤ sending lots of love xxx

I really do feel for you. When you find out things wrong with your baby that you feel its you as your trying to protect them. At 20 weeks I found out my little girl had cdh which is when the diaphragm has a hole in it and things move to the top so her lung wasn’t fully developed when born, she’s had a op at two days old and now 16months and she’s absolutely fine now. But when I found out what was wrong I didn’t really understand what it was so it was a major emotional ride but looking at her now it was worth it. Nurses and everyone said new borns are amazing and they are so much stronger than adults. BTW you are glowing and look amazing!!!

Amy i totally get how you are feeling i was like this with my little boy but they never found out till he was 6 months old , he came down with a high temperature and found out he had to have his left kidney removed and it broke my heart 💔 his now 16 and his doing really well his had to see consultants all his life but his such an amazing boy 💙

Flip flops for the hospital is also a good idea! Especially if having a shower and just generally walking around. My feet could’t fit into anything else to be fair 😅 🐳
Other recommendations would be Burt’s Bees, Kokoso, Mustela for baby products. We also had a wipe warmer (winter twins also) maybe a little extra but it’s nicer for them at changing time 😅
Also heard good things about the Elvie breast pump, another good thing to look into perhaps.

Just a bit of advice from a mum of 4. Sack those pads off and get proper maternity pads. They're HUGE but definitely needed for the first few days especially 😂x

My little coco is amazing, my daughter is 5 and son is 3 they both have sensitive skin, and the only thing that doesn’t flare their eczema is my little coco, the shampoo the bath and body bubbles are great ! Also WELEDA nappy cream is a god send!!
Weleda nappy cream is the best! My daughter is 4 years old and I still use it sometimes for any skin rashes.

I have growth scans every 2 weeks and I've never had the same sonographer either.
Baby clothes are so cute . I would love a clothes airer like that but my cats would use it as a climbing frame they have broken 2 so far 😂

Hey Amy Tena pants great idea! I had a C-section (sgl baby) bled for 6 weeks! 🙈 was so glad of maternity pads! Sorry if I've missed it, have you got sleeping bags for the boys when they're big enough? Great for warmth and no worries about kicking covers off n getting cold! Just bought your clothes dryer off Amazon after watching you put the twins clothes on it! 🤭 Hoping twin No 2s kidney rights itself and sending you and Bradley lots of love! ❤
Make sure to get orthopaedic dummies, it’s better for their gums and teeth as they grow.💕 and with sizing of your nappy pants, I found having something more fitting than baggy with my c section scar helped because when it’s hanging too much that causes more pain in comparison to being held and supported❤
I am also pregnant with my first baby and I think it goes newborn , first size, up to 1 month then 0-3 and onwards. I think first size is slightly bigger or same size as newborn x
Lovely video Amy don't worry they are tougher than you think it took me back when I saw you washing the little baby clothes to when I was having my first child who was born in 1980 I came home from hospital and said to my mum I am not having any more children and went on to have seven more loved every minute and the biggest one was 11pounds 2 ounces ❤❤❤ to you and Bradley from Julie
Please don’t worry about the kidney issue i was told this in my second pregnancy with my son but when he was born they checked the kidney and it was normal xx
