    C. Lack of Deference (v.4-8)
    a. Present Spiritual Position (v.4 - 5)
    1. As previously demonstrated, the author addresses the audience as believers. (v. 4-5)
    1) Enlightened (phōtizō - to shine upon or illuminate).
    2) Tasted (geuomai - to partake or experience the heavenly gift, Heb 2:9) [Jn 4:10; Acts 2:38, 8:20, 10:45, 11:17; Rom 5:15, 17; 2 Cor 9:15; Eph 3:7, 4:7; Heb 6:4].
    3) Partakers (metochos - a mutual sharer in an event or undertaking) of the H.S., as they are with Christ [cf., 3:1,3:14].
    4) Tasted the Good Word
    5) Tasted of the Powers of the Age to come.
