Thanks for the guide, it was really helpful. I will say that I am returning the Lasfit H1, very disappointed in them. They're ok but the Sealight brand that I put in my 4runner and Sienna is WAY brighter and has a much further beam. I ordered the Sealights for 9005 high beam and they are amazing.
I did not want to spend Lasfit money on the dustcaps, went with these and they work great. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HSVN475. One thing to watch out for, the cap on the drivers side buts up real close to the battery, you need to be conscious of this and choose your dust caps carefully.
Another thing... the wires in my LX470 were glued in to the original dust caps. There's not a lot of room there to splice in as it is, I decided to cut them above the dust cap and leave the dust cap attached, also good if next owner wants to go back to stock for some reason.
@@MJAltairy I tried about 5-6 different brands of LED retros in the lo-beam and fog lights. They are all horrible. Viewing distance is garbage, I get maybe 10-15 feet. From a bunch of research on ih8mud I've found that these projector housings do not take well to LEDs, best bet is a full retrofit HID kit but that's more than I am willing to spend ATM. So I ended up with an just ok 8-sided LED in the lo-beam and turn on hi-beams a lot. It doesn't even bother oncoming traffic, that's how crappy the lighting is.
Hi thanks for your great inputs.. I want to change my fog lights too actually skipping the magnifying glass in the two units too.. So I suppose the same one you used only a bit longer so that the the LED's are passed the galvanized housing and in the crime plated zone.. Your suggestions please. Thanks a bunch.
I didn’t replace the turn signal bulbs for that reason. The turn signal bulb in these cars are a single filament so it just comes on when the turn signal is on so i found it unnecessary to replace the turn signal bulbs with LED’s.
I'm really trying to change my exterior bulbs but don't have the skill set to order a larger dust cap which I must alter due to the larger base. The H3 fogs by SNGL were smaller so no larger dust cap needed. Any reason you didn't order the H1s of the same brand? Hence no larger dust cover. Thanks for your vids!!
@@MrJaxonyang I’m already on several of the FB groups which is where I find a lot of great info on these cars. Thank you for you support, I really appreciate it!
Did you or anyone else have a like 2 little cylinder light rays above the main light line when the leds were installed? Instead of a clean straight line from the lights there are like parts that shine up. Anyone know how to fix this?
Those 4 circles (2 per headlight) are called squirrel finders. They’re there to make seeing reflective signs easier without sending so much light into the faces of oncoming drivers. Also maybe to find squirrels. They exist regardless of what type of bulb you use (halogen or LED). If you really want to get rid of them, remove the headlight bulb and look for a plastic piece inside the headlight (I assume it’s deep inside) that has 2 holes in it. Simply tape over the holes. I remember seeing a tutorial for it on ih8mud, but I didn’t pay much attention to it and thus don’t know if you can tape over the holes without taking apart the entire headlight to reach them. That headlight bulb opening is quite small.
Is there a reason why you didn't go with lasfit for fogs. I just picked up a set for my fogs, I'm concerned they might not fit with the dust cap back on
do you have the product number for the LASFIT fog lights?? I ordered what the Lasfit website says is correct for my 2002 lx470 but they do not fit, the ones you have in video are much smaller than the ones I was sent by LASFIT.

Sorry for late reply, for some reason i missed these comments. But yes my brother ran the sealight brand on the gx470 and wow! They’re super bright!

@@aqualung1466 dang really? Could it possibly be an alignment issue with the lights? Maybe they’re aligned too low?
Do you have a video on how to adjust the headlights. Mine is aimed low. Thanks.

So would you not recommend buying the high beam/DRL and just leave the halogens in it?
Yeah pretty much
How has this held up over the years?
Do any of these LEDs throw a code or cause hyper flash?

I tried the Fahren LED bulbs for high beam in my 01 LX and they didn't work me either. Back they go!
Ever found a high beam bulb that works with LX?
How to adjust high beam lights
Is that a guard or cover for that milwaukee impact?
It’s a protective rubber boot. Highly recommend for these tools! Here’s the link to it: amzn.to/3sbnAeb

Have you replace your interior dome lights with LEDs yet?
No I never do. I actually prefer the warm incandescent lighting for the interior believe it or not haha
What size were the dust cover extenders that you used?
Not sure on exact size but there’s a link to the exact ones I purchased in the description

From what I recall, I don’t think they offered a bulb for the fogs at the time I was looking or it was because they looked like they wouldn’t fit.
