En esta selección Japonesa jugaba Kawaguchi que fue arquero por muchos años, también el fenómeno de Nakata que ponía cada pase. Y Argentina ni hablar Ortega, Verón, Crespo, Sorín, Batistuta, Simeone, Ayala, Zanetti etc... unas bestias. Este mundial era para cualquiera aunque Zidane hizo maravillas y fue bien merecido en aquella ocasión.

Nakata and Nanami were brilliant. Both ended up playing serie A football for Perugia and Venezia. I actually thought the 98 Japan team was better than the squad in 2002
