  • Hello and welcome to the next installment in the 'Planning a Practically Perfect Disneyland Paris Holiday' playlist!
Please excuse the princess dress - I wear this with even the smallest excuse (...wore it to Sainsburys once ha!)
In this video I will be explaining the 'Princess for a Day' experience (how it works, how to book it, what's included etc) - I have also included some of my top tips on how to make the most of this experience!*
Here is the email address for booking PFAD if you'd like more information: DLP.DISNEY.SPECIAL.ACTIVITIES@disney.com
Next time I will be looking at the Jedi Training experience which you can also do at Disneyland Paris (which was epic!) I'll try to resist the urge to dress up as Darth Vader for that...no promises.
As always please also comment below if you have any queries or questions, and you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter to keep up to date with my Disney related antics!

    See you next time!

    Dear Zoe,
thank you so much for this lovely and - as always - very informative video. I just found the time to watch it as I just came back from a stay at Disneyland Paris during which I tried to book the "Princess for a Day"-package for a friend of mine. (Which was not as easy as I thought it would be... 😂) As I came up with some updated information concerning booking and time slots, I'd like to share these in this comment (hope this is okay...☺️)
Of course booking can still be done once you are there or in advance if you happen to know someone who is visiting Disneyland Paris some time before your stay. All packages still have to be paid in advance BUT be aware that the staff at 'Galerie Mickey" will only allow you to make appointments within two timeframes which are 8:00-9:40am and 6:00-7:20pm now. (The others seem to be exclusive for reservations by Guest Care Service.)
That's why I contacted Disneyland Paris via Facebook messenger trying to figure out if there could be another option booking "Princess for a day" before your stay and for other time slots during the day.
Fortunately you can still add the second most expensive package - including a dress - and the other more expensive ones, I suppose - as an add-on when booking direct with Disney. Here's the entire answer they came up with:
"You are able to add the Princess for a Day package to your reservation by calling our Guest Care service through the number marked on your confirmation letter or the dedicated phone line for the Annual Pass.
This is the package of €120 and it includes :
    - A costume Luxe Princess
    - Make-up
    - An hairstyle
    - One picture (A5) (the other pictures can be bought or put on the Photopass)
For more information about the times available, I advise you to call us. This is available for arrivals until the 1st of April. We do not know yet if you are able to book after this date. There is no Infinity Annual Pass discount available if you add this package. You can also book the other packages right at the shop of the Disneyland Hotel. Here, you can see which slots are available. The discount with the Annual Pass only counts on the dress, not the package or the make up and hair."
Hope this information is helpful for you and your viewers! ✨👸🏻✨
    Have a magical day! °o°

That is SO useful Florian, thank you for taking the time to include all those details, I’m sure that will be really useful to people trying to book. That is quite a change in the way you can book so it’s good to know about it in advance! Thank you again! ✨

Hi Zoe. The email adress worked which you provided. Got a reply same day.
But now I'm waiting for the second day to get confirmation of the timeslot I wanted to book. And still no sign of miss Pauline

Hi Zoe, once again tnx for all the info you shared. Just wanted to give you an update or my opinion of the whole experience of PFAD.
Once checked in at the Disneyland hotel, we went straight to the concierge. We got our confirmation of lunch reservation at the Auberge de Cindrollon.
We wanted to have connecting timeslots, just to be sure our daughter would still look nice at the restaurant.
After that, we went to the mickey gallery boutique on the 2nd floor.
We had several timeslot-options and paid for the €120,- pack (including 1 free photoprint)
The lady told us that the experience would take just 20min, instead of 45min I've read before.
Once at the place, I noticed the poor lightning. It was like as if the room was lit by just a couple of candles. I'm into photography, so it must be my bad habits.
The make-up & hairdresser wasn't enthusiastic at all to give our daughter a treatment to remember. She was kind in words and very well with the hair. But she didn't make it feel like a princess-experience.
Luckily we had your tips, to bring along some nice shoes and a tiara. Which made up to the lack of enthusiasm. Afterwards the big lady photographer invited us to the photostudio. Over there I let her be the professional without disturbing her and let her do her job.
I saw the types of photography equipment she was working with and all were professional series.
Later that evening I looked at the photos through the Photopass-app and they were quite disappointing.
All the effort I went to through to get info and such. And I got photos with hands cut off of no straight vertical photos and such.
I got the contact info of the concierge and will let them know of all the positive and negative points we've experienced. Hopefully someone will do their job to make some improvements.
Nevertheless, our daughter enjoyed in general.
      Tnx again Zoe.

Oh I am so sorry to hear it wasn't what you'd hoped it would be Vikash :( I guess as with a lot of things the service you get depends on who is working that day - but I am really sorry to hear it was disappointing (especially as it is such an expensive treat and you'd put so much thought into making it as special as possible!) I think you definitely should get in touch with the concierge about this as I'm sure they'd value this feedback. I hope your little Princess enjoyed herself - I am sure the meal at Auberge de Cendrillon was lovely as you really can't beat the character interaction there! Hope you had a lovely holiday on the whole?

Hi Zoe...we still love your fab blogs and you...youre always looking so sweet and Disneyee! I have a really big question please can you help? We are going to DLP next March and my daughter wanted the Disney 25th anniversary dress. As it will probably not be available then please can you find out what dress will replace it at the premium princess for a day level? Many thanks Michelle and Miracle xx

Hi Michelle, oooh how exciting! ✨ I don’t know what the next selection of dresses will be, but if your heart is set on the 25th anniversary dress it might be worth contacting the mail order team at DLP as I believe I saw pics of it in the sale recently? Here is the address: DLP.mail.order@disney.com

    Hello! Please help me!
I am booked to go to DLP in August 2019. Unfortunately I am hearing conflicting information about the prices and booking. Do you know if you can still book the €120 package in advance? Some people are saying that it is only a €400 package that you can book in advance.

Hi Clare, I have emailed them to see if I can get any up to date information for you and will let you know if I have any joy. Also, I know it's a while to wait - but when I visit next in October I'll pop in and find out and let you know what they say x

Caffeine&PixieDust oh thank you so much. In actual fact, I have contacted them myself and to be honest, they have been less than helpful, so anything that you can find out will be so helpful to me. Thank you for getting back to me.

Hi 2 questions, do you need to stay at Disneyland hotel or can you book separately and do you need to buy the dress at Disneyland or can you buy it at home and bring it for the £55 package

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  Před 6 lety

+Helen Parkin Hello! No you don't need to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel (or any Disney hotel for that matter) but it is first come first serve so best to go and book as soon as you arrive! You can take your own dress for the €55 package (ours was from Sainsbury's ✨) Hope that helps 😃

Hi I am looking into booking one of these packages. Thank you so much for all the info! From the videos I've seen posted of other parents children getting this done. Do they get to pick their hairstyle? From the videos it looks like they sit down and the stylist decides or can you request a certain style? Or is it one style depending on the princess you choose? Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer.

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  Před 5 lety +1

Hello! You definitely have some say in the hair style chosen as they will ask you, quite often they mirror the dress chosen (for example if you have a Belle dress they might suggest reflecting the Belle hairstyle). You can take accessories to add in too, such as a specific tiara or some clips you’d like included. Hope that helps! ✨🌸
