I am sick of people doubting innocent people get banned in Blizzard games -- it happens all the time, but most people are bitches and don't say anything about it. When they do, people jump to Blizzard's defense and insists the guy did something wrong. I'm putting myself out there for criticism for any Blizzard apologist. I will share my screen and speak to you on Discord and show you anything you want. I am not a cheater, scammer, or shady economy abuser as Blizzard suggested I was.

Something like that happened to sister's account at the beginning of one of the expansions. She gathered tons of herbs because they were respawning rediculously fast, listed all of it on the auction house at the standard price, and then got banned for similar reason then got it resolved the next day.
Yet her guildmate who literally controls the auction house on her server, even tries to get people banned for undercutting them, doesn't get banned.
Did you see the other day Blizzard banned a handicapped guy with muscular dystrophy who used some sort of a voice to action aid to help him play the game? They kept closing his tickets. They only unbanned him after he went public with it, so if Blizzard is going to ban the handicapped, do you think they'll give a crap about us? Blizzard is totally out of control.

You do get these weird people who just take Blizzard's word for everything. I think they have difficulty separating the things everyone likes about the game with the business side of things.
Just had the same email and same GM push my ticket on up... But I don't even play the ah like these guys I'm lucky when I am sitting at 100k+ I don't have any spirit of harmony that I didn't get myself, I don't have multiple accounts...I posted some of the old 300%xp pots this morning along with other random mog items...I don't talk in trade to the gold sellers or run sellers..I did just uninstall Google chrome and switch to the browser Brave but that is just to block ads and third party... I have only been playing for a month and have just bought a pre order of the war within for £40. I just tryed to log in and they have banned my account for using Bot or illegal software and I haven't done anything like this. I don't have any thrid party software installed. I most I have is x mouse which I used for all my games. I have no Idea why they think I'm cheating. I'm going to try and get my money back for the pre order of the war within for £40. I can't belive they automatically do this without giving you a humanbeing to talk to about it. Its a total Scam. I'm so angry. At least i've only been playing for a month and not 10 years. Blizzard customer service is atrocious. I was enjoying playing the game but false accusation of cheating and closing accounts. Bye bye Blizzard!!
My account got banned few days ago for same reason, they just do want they want, not gonna play any Blizzards game any more, hope they go bankrupt soon.
My main account was hacked using a fake ID this month and my first ticket wasn't even read. I had to submit a second ticket as my gold was being taken by some thief. It's the worst customer support I've ever seen.
Then I had to submit a third ticket to restore the 8 million gold the thief took out of my guild bank. They didn't restore it the first time. It's really bad right now.
You can't buy in-game items with real world currency... unless you give Blizzard a cut through the WoW Token.
Sure you could. You could say "I will paypal you $500 for the Mythic Argus Mount" and someone could say yes. But I didn't do that. I'd never pay real money for in game anything in any game.
I just tried to log into my account after not playing for 7 years and its banned. I have no idea why and they're not answering.
You know what I did instead? Stopped trying to log in and am self hosting my own WotLK server. No more login problems. No more blizzard giving my account away to some BOWL HAIRCUTS in China. Weird how running your OWN WOW SERVER CUTS THE MAJORITY OF MMO PROBLEMS.

I was banned 5 minutes after joining an AV match today on Classic. 7 days. Fucking pissed. Back in 2005 a GM would whisper you to confirm your status, and explain their concerns. This is bullshit.
Reddit lies, it is why I stay away from there. I gave up on wow a long time ago. I was once giving grief by a gm over nothing, I don't even know what the problem was
This same email was sent to me, and weirdly enough the same GM pushed my ticket up as well, this just happened tonight tho so I have a day before they get back to me, I dunno what would be my case I've not tried to buy anything like the collectors edition pet I mean I posted some old 300% XP pots recently that I've been holding onto for a long time.. But I don't really talk to people outside my guild or whisper the damn robots that try to sell runs or gold.... Ugh

The "Hacks team" havent looked at my case as of yet, 2.) that it can take 72 hours OR MORE to get a reply let alone resolved. 3.) I am not allowed to know what triggered this banning, as to stop me if i were a real hacker from making my hacks better 4.) Depending on the GM who initiated my ban i may or MAY NOT get time back that has been lost due to THEIR fuck up. fucking ridiculous if my ticket is denied and i have to keep opening further tickets how the hell am i supposed to defend myself and prove i've done nothing of the sort. i give thanks to the GM's who are helping me and replying to me I am not mad at them just at the situation. and possibly who ever initiated the ban or what ever ( aka a program.......)

@@nirv yesterday I got two emails one telling me good news I've been unbanned, after review it was found I was a false positive. Second was a full free week of play time automatically added to my subscription. But now I'm afraid to list some of the items I'd had posted before the ban because of not being told what caused the ban to begin with ,I still think it's the 5 old 300% XP potions I may just make a trade macro and go the old fashion way to sell those..
Was grinding to get the limited time epic armament for the argent dawn quests. I was gathering savage frond and getting a bunch of herbs in the process. Hard, diligent work equals a ban in my case. Now im gonna run outta time to get this trinket even if im unbanned

My account got a permanent ban back in late WoD, the reason stated was botting/usage of a 3rd party software. I was absolutely shocked because I knew I had never in my life touched any of that stuff. After I contacted a GM they reversed the ban and I could play my account.
I don't know why but it seems Blizzard just sometimes perma ban innocent people with the most confusing reasons...
It's their software that auto bans and the AI sucks.

Well well well... if anybody thinks that this has stoped, it hasnt. Its still being done. For me it was a simple day, I logg in, I wanted to fly somewhere far in, and then boom "you dont have enough money" and i was like "whaaat??" and then i open up my bag to see I have 1 gold. I was verry shocked i couldnt think straight for a moment, I logg out, and i see a that a new character has been created with the name "Ffvv", I logg in there and it is in Stormwind at the auction house ( I forgot to check the bag to see if the Hacker sent the gold there, and without thinking i deleted it). I logg back to my main character and start asking for help from the guild. They said to write a ticket asking for my gold back, so i did just that. After going around the map not doing anything I didn know what to, I suddenly get banned for "abusing the economy" and now im verry frusrated, If they cant/wont get my account unbanned then i have to say godbye to almot 5years of my life, but maybe this is a sign to quit and focus on real life...
I quit as well. They barely even have real humans in customer support anymore. It's so bad dude.

Exact something that happen to this morning, I'm still waiting for a Response from support. I'm so upset and I have called and of course you get forward too some answering machine followed by that answer machine disrespectfully hangs up on you, pretty much saying fuck your account. I'm honest and play wow to Raid and Get loot, 10 years and All i get is logged out and them saying my account is Gone! Blizzard keeps fucking with me and Ill show up to a BlizzCon and Make them listen to me. Blizzard is Ignornant and none professional. I'm totally on your side, They has to stop!
I received this exact email three days ago and am still waiting to get it resolved. It is such bullshit that they can accuse you with lies and then add "this has been done only after a careful review", which is just blatantly false. I have been playing WoW on and off for more than 15 years and never done anything even remotely shady. It's quite frankly offensive. :(
That's why I encourage everyone to stream everything you do. It's your word versus Blizzard and often you have to prove your innocence.
@@nirv yea I'm starting to realise this - completely f-ed up if I'm honest. :( I still have an open channel to a GM on my other battle tag, so I'll try and keep a dialogue open there, but it's friggin grim - a billion dollar company with no customer support, no telephone or email contact info. Crazy.
Just in the very unlikely event that anyone anywhere cares, a small update - they sent back the standard bullshit non-explanation that their actions seem proper and refuse to revert them. So now I have a second ticket open with a VERY detailed description of my account setup, how I play, how I trade etc. Let's see how that goes.
Update - I finally had a senior risk analyst look into my case and was unbanned on all accounts. Algorithm mishap, but at least I finally got helped - chatting with a senior GM live was just so amazingly different from the rest of the CS, kind of what Blizzard CS used to be like in the old days. :)

oh no, I was exposed to BANNED for 2 accounts due to economic misuse, I often sell my gold through guild banks and it turns out it's not safe, how does someone sell gold safely?

@hassancharity4551 Oh they looked at the account and said I was totally not at fault but stopped short of apologizing. This happened just as the Christmas week was upon us... I had nothing to do that week. Covid, no family. And I sat waiting while they restored my account. They did of course after the first of the new year.

My previous account was closed after I continually re-appealed a 24 hr suspension for being rude to a GM after they continually failed to understand what I made the ticket about and kept giving me automated responses or responses that were not relevant to my issue. They never talked to me in game and I would have to wait upwards of 15 hours to get a response each time which was just frustrating as all hell. They legitimately closed my account for disuputing a ban for being rude to them, and actually sent me ANOTHER e-mail saying they would NOT accept my patronage with their company. So any account made with my name attatched actually gets flagged and closed now.
I would be very interested in seeing your emails. Was it "Violation of Game Master Interaction Policy?" Because if so, they tried pulling that shit with me even though I was trying to get something done about the constant, personal harassment I was receiving from a user repeatedly on my realm.
Their rules are a joke. They will punish you if they don't like you. From my experience and what I've heard from others, they will destroy everything you ever worked for in the game if a GM doesn't like your personality or your indignance of being treated unfairly, or wanting them to do something. Like I said in the video, it's worse than Comcast.
Hmm, it appears I actually didn't even get a 24 hr suspension but I was trying to get the one and only warning/action removed from my account. I had never been suspended from the game, but had been suspended from the forums. I can grab the forum suspensions, but that would take further digging. What was occuring is there were players in normal battlegrounds that would abuse the report afk system. It was more often than not premades doing it because they disliked me trying to tell them what to do, or really saying something along the lines of 'stop being idiots fighting in mid' IE not playing objectives and causing losses. What happens when a certain amount of players in a BG report you afk, instead of getting an 'idle' debuff which sits on your character for a minute unless you attack something is you get INSTANTLY removed from the battleground even if you're in active combat and get an idle debuff. I went from an account warning for GM interaction to an account closure since I continued to submit tickets regarding the problem.
Tell me what you think of these conversations with Blizzard, and how the right click report system cannot be utilized when you've already been kicked leaving the only way to report abuse like this is to open a ticket. imgur.com/a/qTGR1O3
Thanks for posting those. Holy shit dude. The most offensive fucking line in those emails is this one: "Blizzard will not be taking action against players for using the Report AFK, regardless of whether it's use is appropriate or abusive."
That's the first time I've seen Blizzard actually say despite the report system being rife with abuse, they're fine with it. You never leave a community in a video game to police itself -- it WILL be abused. Essentially the best thing to do in WoW is not fucking talk or interact with anybody anymore. It's not worth it.
Pretty much, you see posts on various forums about people being targeted by reports and Blizzard not really caring about it. Multi-boxers can absolutely ruin peoples day on a whim if you think about it, along with any organized group like a guild. It's a very abusable system but since it means Blizzard doesn't have to pay as much money for Customer support to answer tickets it seems fine. You also have to realize that Blizzard uses their GMs over all of their games and as far as I know none of the ones that answer tickets are allowed to just pick one game to cover; they have to cover whatever games Blizzard tells them to.

I got banned today from wow for the 4th time... I tried to appeal it everytime and they just declined it like always I got banned for getting mass reported for playing with low rating players at pvp and calling me "booster" I really did a KINDA boost but for fun and every time I am seeing this suspension I am getting mad because I hate I cant play the game I really want them to get me unbanned :

i just got banned this morning at 1:59 AM...for abusing the econmy by trading real world currency for in game items. or whatever....I sent my alt 300k to buy the "new" griphins from proudmoore, storms wake and ember guys and the subject line was, "Gotta pay the troll toll" meaning, I hate blizzard for making me spend so much money. (I'm 3 away from 400). I also bought the three frog mounts then the new engineering / bs mount. That's literally all i'vwe done money wise in months. I don't know what to do but I sub a ticket. I started in 2005 and have played since. I wouldn't risk everything I put into that account for whatever theyre saying. god i'm so mad and panicked

Love that 720p resolution. Scarlet Monastery takes 2 minutes to clear in 2017, not 45 minutes. Vanilla WoW was good in 2005 but it's too slow now. Can't go back.

You got your account back, so I don't understand the problem. They have people and automated software dedicated to catching and banning cheaters. Unfortunately, sometimes an innocent player is caught in the net.
But there are some people who don't get their accounts back. I have seen on reddit recently people submitting multiple tickets and then having to resort to reddit for customer support to do something. It was a battle and some of them win, but I'm not sure all of them do. It's still happening and innocent people are still getting nailed, but it seems even harder to get your account back these days.
@@nirv I'm willing to bet they did do something wrong and are leaving something out on their post. Legit cheaters don't want to admit any wrong doing. If Blizzard(or any game company) didn't take this seriously, they would ruin the game for everyone else who plays fair.

It may seem like everyone in the world is complaining, but it's actually only a very small percentage. Even activities such as buying gold or items for real money is considered to be cheating...and no I prefer not to voice chat for personal reasons.

At this point, it seems like blizzard hate their customers, I got chat banned on wow for saying "any hot egirls on?" And bam got insta chat banned. This just proves how toxic the wow community is.
I barely type in the game anymore. If people don't like you, they'll just report everything you say, and Blizzard's automated system will nail you even if innocent as well. So if I type, I type on my other accounts, but I think because I alternate on them so much, I haven't actually been silenced or suspended or actioned in any way for a long time now.
After gaming online since 1997, I never met one cheater admitting it, everyone is totally innocent. You probably used TSM Addon which gives random people since 2015 in WoW random bans. It's a 3rd party app that changes the behaviour of coding ingame, it makes you so you're able to sell 100s of items at once while fair people playing the game like it should, waste 1-3 hrs a day on AH. It's a unfair advantage and Blizzard randomly bans people for it and never explain them what they did wrong. Google for this case and you'll find many unanswered topics. If you didn't use TSM Software then you probably used multiboxing for economical profits, not just to level them up. Which is also not allowed (multiboxing for gold)
Hi dude. Yes, I use TSM as you see in the video, but TSM isn't considered cheating. I see your 1997 and raise you my gaming since 1984 experience and I'm here to tell you that not only did I not "cheat" and deserve this, but neither you nor Blizzard can explain what "Abuse of the economy" means.
According to their email, I supposedly tried to buy in-game items for real-world currency. This is offensive to me as a gamer. I have a LOT of gold because I actually play the game and farm things. There is nothing I wanted in the game at that time that I couldn't afford with the gold I had. I've never had to borrow gold from anyone in WoW either. I've always had a lot because I farm a lot. That's why they reversed it -- it was a mistake. TSM has nothing to do with it. You are making that up.
I use TSM on all 4 of my accounts now and this was the only time I've been hit with an account closure like this and I've been playing since 2005. So your theory goes out the window. One ban of one account in the many years I've played? It was a mistake. Don't be an apologist--Blizzard's auto ban methods constantly hit innocent people.

Also I have a question it doesn’t allow me to buy 120 boost because it says it’s in a different region than my wow which is EU. How do I fix this any ideas? They can ban you for whatever they want. It is stated that it is never your account. They can do whatever they want for no reason at all.
