I just got banned last night for this same exact reason you did. The thing is, I never purchased anything outside the auction house ever. Only money I've ever spent on this game was for expansions, subscriptions, token, mounts, and cosmetics. I've never paid for any boost in m+, raid, or leveling, etc. I do high level content on my own in pugs. I got a whisper from someone called "Blizard" that I was "harming the economy," and they sent a link to look into, so I tried using it, and it took me to their useless ToS page. I submitted a ticket explaining my history on this game and expressed I have my bank statements going back over 10 years to show I never paid for anything rmt related with my bank card, or any type of app like PayPal. To clarify: I never boosted others, either. I didn't give or receive any gold through a trade window, too.

First of all, thank you for this good explanation. It works like a charm. I downloaded the client and it works. But apparently I have no AddOns. Where to find the AddOn to control the bots. I do know about installing Linux etc, but I am an absolute noob as it comes to World of Warcraft. Just want to play the game in single player mode and this allows me to do so.

instead of starting the server with bots that are not optimized, could you optimize the file/module, THEN start the server with the bot module compiled and save some steps? probably not understanding, install/compile, but i'm sure it could be done before starting the server and then having to reset them all.

Are you planning on making a guide on how to let others create accounts from a webpage or without needing to access the terminal? if not I'll see if I can figure it out on my own just wanted to say thanks for the amazing job and easy to follow guide.

How do you add this mod using the Docker install? I really would like to see more Container installs and less of the VMs. Containers are really cool and light weight. So I can just add this to my game server with my other containers. I was able to install the basic game and connect but I am lost on how to add the modules since its in a container and I dont really understand totatly how to compile it within the containers. But most importantly, this video is top to bottom great for anyone who just wants to get up and running step by step. Thanks a ton! :)

Nirv, I could really use some help man. My friend and I used your guide almost exactly to set up the acore server. the problem we are having is trying to set up all the modules because most of them require sql changes. my setup is slightly different. Im running the deb12 vm on my pclinuxos machine and I am using putty to remote in from my windows machine. I cant for the life of me figure out how to get this sql stuff to work. I have used hiedi on windows to clear tables that got into a bad way for the spp mangos server i used to run on windows but thats it. I have been turning grey for 48 hours trying to figure this out and ive tried getting help on the azore discord, also tried the deb12 discord and im just not getting anywhere. It seems that most people are installing their server on windows.

Heh, I'm running this shit on raspberry pi 4, including MySQL. I thought it would suck but it's buttery smooth. It came a long way from the days of mangos. The compile times are excruciating on rpi, though

What if you're running multiple servers? I've got 10G fiber line on my server rack and a Proxmox cluster of 3 each with a Xeon E5-2660 14C/20T and 512Gb ram and 40 TB of storage, so I can run many VMs and use CF Tunnels for FQDN's instead of IP addresses. Does one just need to add additional lines in the realmlist wtf file or commas? Also, what about server syncing? Do you need to create accounts on each individual server or is there a way for them to sync accounts across servers?

Great guide! I've got something similar running currently, by using some of those "repacks", but your video looks like it will give me a much cleaner setup and has taught me a lot more about optimisation. I can't wait to see how much these projects advance once we can add in something similar to A.I followers, to really make dungeons/raids/world feel more lived in that the current bots (which are still amazing vs an empty world).

No kidding, the term hero has been diluted to meaninglessness but the open source people, like torvalds, are true heroes in a way. They often create incredible, impactfull, and potentially lucrative projects and just let the world have it all with next to no strings attached (with licensing structure like GPL). Its kind of unbelievable in the hyper commodized and microtransactioned world of today. Torvalds and other open source guys trade real world wealth for truly free dissemination of thought. Legends.
