"Have you had an experience of seeing a loan deal go sour? What's the worst you've seen?" Foster goes on to explain the exact opposite.
He answered the question initially by saying that he hasnât seen any sour loan moves. Then goes on to tell a story of quite a unique loan move which didnât click initially but went on to be a great season. Whatâs the problem? Itâs a podcast. Heâs not just gonna say no and move on. I know this was a joke comment btw, it just didnât make sense to me.

3 minutes in and struggling so see how this has gone wrong for lukaku đ seems like a good loan move not one gone wrongâŠ
his loan moves were probably better than his actual career in the prem..... i hear he did well in Italy but didnt really see much of it
@@Enigma3 the 3 seasons heâs played in Italy he had 2 world class nd one decent one
@@Kh-kq9ui that would explain why clubs kept buying him back for large amounts lol
Lukaku was great at clubs where they monitored his weight and mental health. The ones that didnât went bad. For his country he has suffered with form caused by these issues plus form.
@GanjaDan u need to smoke less, he was bad the last 2 seasons, but before he was a beast. He was even good at united.
Surely thatâs partly his own responsibility also??
every single team monitors your weight quite literally every day
@GanjaDan if he is that bad, how is he scoring 20+ goals per season in the most defensive league in europe at that time?
u didn't backed him, so he wasn't able to use his full potential. besides that ur club has the most toxic fanbase, ur players get herassed every bad game and u expect them to give it all for ur privileged asses cussing the living shit of them and their families. there was even a statistic 8 of the 10 most hated players on twitter r from united at that time.

With you on the self washing Ben, plenty of times I had to do that when I was in the Army
As a chelsea fan, itâs sad to see his downfall since we signed him from inter đą
I would feel sad if the guy didnât publicly undermine the club and itâs manager
He could still come back to Chelsea his under contract
As an inter fan, itâs sad to see how chelsea ruined him
@@filipponasello1390 what do you mean we gave him back to his beloved inter hope inter signs him they are perfect match
The revisionism on his career is quite sad. He was excellent up until the second season at United I would say. And then was MVP in winning the league at Inter. All while being his NT all time top scorer, pls some respect despite his current level
Heâs got dogshit attributes like his touch and his close control. They massively let his game down when heâs so good at other things. If youâre a defender itâs easy to defend against him because you can just make him have to use his touch
@@hfc3696 how was his title winning season overrated lmao
You clown. RL has been disrespected since he went to Man Utd like everyone that flops. Chelsea treated him like crap tubes like they did with many other players
@@hfc3696 Inter fan here, he was quite literally unstoppable. 40 g/a, his holdup play was perfect, he was incredibly fast, so strong. But most casual fans only care about the Prem, so they see he did poorly in a horrid Chelsea team and think he's been shit his entire career, which couldn't be further away from the truth. He's a beast, and hopefully now he's back from his injury and we can enjoy him the rest of the season, we need him, he's showing good signs since coming back
@@hfc3696 yeah it's definitely not a bad take, 16/17 was an amazing season for him, obviously playing for a title winning team, therefore winning the league, often tips the scale. IMO 16/17, 19/20 and 20/21 were all amazing individual seasons, that ignorant fans want to cleverly ignore when evaluating his career
Love it lads Up the Fozcast!

young Lukaku was so good. Donât know how things are not working out for him now
Needs help with his weight and mental health and heâll be one of the best strikers in the world itâs the same with hazard a lot of players need certain things that clubs donât realise or arenât willing to give

@@samhuggins2656 cookie monster.
His first season at Man Utd he was fairly trim and in good shape. His last season at Man Utd he looked so much bigger, not fat, more muscular and muscle weighs more than fat, so carrying around that extra weight obviously affected his movement and agility.
Muscle doesnt weigh more than fst its just more densely packed. He was apparently told to bulk up for Belgium and he wrecked his performance for the club side and Belgium were crap anyway

Lukaku was a beast when he burst onto the scene with his loan spell at West Brom, at Chelsea it didnt workout when Villas Boas signed him & when Tuchel resigned him making him a record transfer fee just didnt workout it the end đ
Tammy Abraham joined my club (Bristol City) from Chelsea on loan at about 18 years old, he was everything you could have wished for (apart from one minor driving indiscretionđ), no Billy big bollocks, couldnât do enough for the club/team/ supporters/community etc.
Ryan Kent & Danny Rose on the other hand, we were clearly beneath them in their eyes!!
But in general Iâve found that players want to try their best on loan, especially if thereâs the possibility of a full-time transfer at the end of it because they have something to play for BUT then once theyâve done the hard work & earned a permanent move Iâve seen plenty of them not give a shit having signed a 2 or 3 year contract & seemingly now not having to earn their contract!
@GanjaDan He did well for us but then got above his station as a result of doing well & then seemingly attracting attention from elsewhere. He was massively liked until he then didnât help himself by slagging Bristol off & having a dig about the accent etc!! Shame for him his lad was born in Bristol so is technically a Bristolian!!
His career from a performance perspective certainly went down hill after leaving us although Iâm sure he got paid more money from his time at West Ham but whether that was that beneficial in the long run considering how his career then went downhill so quickly!!
@GanjaDan Yeah, thatâs how it felt to us as well.
He moved to us for a pretty big fee at the time (ÂŁ2.25m) & especially coming from Crewe so he had no experience at Championship level & like I say, he did well for us & seemed to have settled in well & was enjoying his time with us as well & then for whatever reason (money/fame?) he seemed to change!
After leaving us he barely stayed at another club for any length of time as he seemingly struggled! Spent 4 years with us & then had 11 clubs over the next 9 years!!
Whether heâd ever admit he made some bad choices I donât know, in an age of podcasts & the like I donât think heâd ever be invited to explain what happened as heâs really not thought of very highly of now down here & not because of his performances on the pitch for us but because of his attitude when he got wind of a move away & since heâs left!
How? Because you read it in the Sun you melt. You know nothing about him so do one you country bumpkin and stick to your Mickey Mouse team
we missed a huge opportunity not splashing out for lukaku at west brom. top 3 players ive ever seen play for us
Iâd say heâs gone on to be, but not that that time. Enzo Maresca & Borja Valero have gone on to have better careers. Players Zoltan Gera, Jonny Evans, Nader Chadli, Gregory Krychowiak, weâre all better in terms of ability when we had them.
Shame what's going on with your club right now tbf
A week in the uk and he seems to balloon up.

Strange how that was probably the best form in his life
Whatâs the shirt foster has on ?
He was at his prime during his 2 two season at Inter Milan
Foster saved Gerrard penalty in that game at anfield boing boing
So you were fourth at christmas with lukaku not playing well or not playing at all. Then he came in, had a brilliant second half of the season and you ended up finishing 8th and just the TWENTY NINE points behind fourth place? Can you explain that one for me please Ben?
Because they're west brom and it was a miracle that they were even in top 4. Top 8 is a decent finish for west brom
Yeah I get that, I'm Villa so I know how much of a tinpot shi*e club west brom are. What I'm saying is it doesn't make sense to say that lukaku came in and had a brilliant second half of the season (which would have improved team performances and results) but then follow it up by saying they lost 29 points worth of ground in the table. The two don't go together.
@@maddogmaddog8425 yeah I get what you're saying but he did genuinely play well that season. Maybe the levels of his teammates dropped off
8 goals in 26 isn't a disaster. Foster played for lower clubs. That means most strikers were failers and disasters.
You can see Tubes as Chelsea fan struggling to hear nice things about Lukaku đđ I donât blame him Lukaku came across as an absolute prick in his second spell
He can be as polite as he likes, but he played in the same team as Hleb, Bentley and Derbyshire in his season at Blues.... I'd call them pretty suspect. đ

wasn't Lukaku the reason why West Brom drew with Fergies united, scoring all the wba goals that matchh

Lmaooo, too many people use the word "literally" too casually
Chelsea sending lukaku on loan not much has changed
Sits on the fence to much Ben does . Tries to be mr nice guy all the time
Hes like 30 now and hes still not all connected
Was bbrilliant at Inter
Title's a bit misleading wouldn't you say?
One of THE biggest mistakes we ever made was letting Lukaku slip away; he was the perfect fit for that particular Baggies team.
Wouldâve struggled to sign him to much money to spend Oliver Burke is still are record signing and lukaku would probably have been close to double that 3 years earlier
To think...we could have got him on loan the season after, too, but signed Victor Anichebe instead.
Albion, that!

I always thought Romeluâs problem was his weight, he always looked overweight for a professional footballer. I think as person he is a lovely man who is often misunderstood but definitely a brilliant player
you have never met him
Yeah heâs a fantastic guy. I met him in Milano (Im a Inter fan) like a few days before a game in a restaurant in Milano. He was there with one of his friends i think. Such a lovely guy, very kind and calm, we had a little chat about football and Inter and took a picture. Most footballers would go away and walk further but he took the time. Good dude. Heâs just such a beast, bigger in person lol
It still hasn't connected for Lukaku unfortunately

That's the problem with paying kids to much money. They care more about the cash than achieving anything in the game.
