Death's Game (Korean: 이재, 곧 죽습니다) is a South Korean fantasy reincarnation web series written and directed by Ha Byung-hoon [ko], and starring Seo In-guk and Park So-dam. I want to explain a part in this episode that is well written. Around 24:30 jisoo (the gf) asks yi jae/geon u what he named his “character”. The first word he says is “이재” which is his name yi jae pronounced ee-jae. He realizes that he probably shouldn’t say his name and ends up saying “이제” which means “now” and is pronounced ee-jeh and says “i still haven’t come up with a name right now” (bc of korean grammar he says “now” first. if anyone is confused).
I just find it cool how that scene played out

i feel so bad for girlfriend. he assumed that she is cheating and break up with her. she blames herself for letting him go that night. Now she died with her neck twisted is so heartbreaking 😭
Twinkling Watermelon got unpredictable storyline and amazing acting. i cried everytime when it comes to emotional scenes. i hope you guys react to this drama

It can easily happen. I been super close to my one of my cousin for over 10 years. She didn't even realize I have a brother until 3 years ago and even now, she still doesn't really know what he look like. And he her family... 😂
Only criticism i have with this show is how it completely minimizes all the progress we made abt mental health awareness, like suicide is not a crime, its a desperate choice, not a selfish one. Does it hurt others, ofc it does, but punishment? Idk abt tht. Its not a decision anybody takes lightly
Spiritually according to a few religions, its a spiritual sin. Despite whatever society wants to say. The texts stay the same.
In my religion, i go to hell and im punished by god. Despite society changing their view.
If it was a biblical show for example you can expect the biblical lessons to be as they were written despite the modern views of society in 2024.

@@YaBoyRockLee oh same with my religion. Maybe thts why I was more annoyed with the plotline. Tbh, at my first watch I was too focused on unfairness of it all, missed context of death's reasoning, his constant wrong choices, etc.

It’s not something people show sympathy for in my religion or culture.
Normally I would just keep it to myself and never talk about it given that fact that i am also aware of mental health and society.
The show basically provided a safe place to vent and talk along with Deaths point of view.
And the rest is history
It’s okay to feel bad for the ppl he left and the promises he broke but don’t belittle the reason he committed suicide and get one thing straight literally he didn’t commit suicide because of misinformation it’s because of the experiences he went through after seeing someone die and failing his interview

Thank you! It irks my soul every time they bring up how they are upset with him and feel bad for his mom and gf. He didn’t commit suicide because he saw his gf receiving flowers from someone else. He committed suicide because he was struggling with money, unable to find a job to make a living, he felt like a burden to his gf (she was giving him money), and he thought he was a terrible son. Its sad but its even more sad how they dont understand this and thinks he just committed suicide for the fun of it without any “valid reason”.
The misinformation was a HUGE part of why he went through with it... She was his pillar and worked very hard so that he could marry her one day. And when he let her go, he also left his purpose for working and living.
@@NoReply28 that’s not true I read the manhwa his down fall literally started when he watched someone die in front of him in the show but in the manhwa it’s entirely different but either way they still made it to where you should just shut the fuck up and stop trying to justify being mad at someone committing suicide because they can’t handle life

It’s crazy that y’all talking bad about this man committing suicide and you can’t say you won’t make the same decision he made cause you haven’t experienced what he went through
You should never give up... Especially when it can hurt people that you care about. Once you give up then you are a loser and all your previous efforts become pointless. It doesn't matter what he went through... He is open to bad judgement the moment he took the coward way out.
And yes... I went through some serious sht and have a family that I wish would just die so I can be free. Suicide was something that I thought about before but I'm not giving up yet. I'm going to be happy and prove everyone wrong.

Fr tho. It's triggering for some people who also attempted suicide but failed because they were also suffering. It invalidates their feelings instead of comforting them. I also don't see the mc doing anything bad, unforgivable or toxic in his actual life. He was just depressed and mentally unstable. If the mc actually died from suicide, wasn't given a chance to live and the story just ended there, there won't be anything bad to say about him.
I'm also one who think suicide is sin, but my heart aches for those that end up doing it. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do it, but that just makes me realize, even with the crap I've experienced so far, that I have NO IDEA what it's like to be in that kind of darkness!
THIS. As someone who is suicidal, the judgement here is quite heartbreaking. Like he has his follies as a person, but to not spare a little sympathy for the MC or even trying to understand the culture of “job hunting” in SK or how competitive it is there.
Also, a symptom of depression literally makes people push away. Depression is very isolating and when you have episodes, you forget about the people that love you. He can be very shortsighted as a person but aren’t most people. Besides, he is literally jumping through these lives in a matter of hours and days. He needs years to realize his mistakes and change his ways.
Btw one last comment, the amount of times Lee do hyun has made me cry should have a Guinness award . Its a saying around kdrama fans that if you wanna watch a good writing of a kdrama, watch any work he is in .probably thats why sweethome s2 wasnt that good 😅
