Spa may be my favourite track but the one thing I like least about it is the length of the pit lane (in this config at least). Great to see you back in an IRL car tho!
Tyre temps are basically zero by the time I get out on track, the pit lane is that long😂
I wish Kunos would let you choose which pit box you get for practice sessions

Aw hell yeah we're back! How did the Evo compare to the older Macca you drove 2 years ago?
The Evo felt much nicer to drive. Much more refined, especially in the medium / high speed corners. A much better overall package in the wet as well, McLaren did a great job with it.

It’d be so cool if they let you have a camera facing yourself so we can see a different POV or even from outside the car front and rear. Ofcourse their are always rules to follow with this kinda stuff but that would be awesome

Thank you. The pace from this stint was really good, I was trading P1, P2, P3 with other cars that were driven by pro drivers, overall it stacked up very well.🙂

Great to see where you belong, a real race car in a real track! And there's no better place than Spa to do it, even the weather agrees with me 😜😜. A curiosity: why so in the middle of the track or even on the inside at the end of the straights? To prevent oversteer turning with more angle in wet conditions or something else?
I noticed a lot of understeer, standing on the outside is maybe worse?

Thanks! And I'm definitely trailbraking, not a 'specific' amount though, just purely on what feels right. It's hard to compare with the sim, as every game requires different levels of trailbraking.

Would wet be the way you want your first drive since last time? I've always heard its better to start in the wet, get a feel for things, and then push incrementally in the dry after.
Honestly I'd rather it be dry as it's less risky & a bit easier to get comfortable with things, but just getting on track is the main thing. I had some wet running & a bit of dry running too, so I feel prepped for all conditions going into race week🙂

It's not something I think about too much, a quick look in the mirror just to double check it's clear is always good tho, just to be safe😅
Why do Race Teams or Drivers tend to blur the Screen when doing a Head or Helmet cam?
the brake bias, tc controls, fuel etc is all displayed on the wheel. so to avoid letting other teams see they blur it.
Because it shows information about the setup they use and it may can give some advantage to other drivers/teams.

What are these white spots on your windshield?
Bubbles from the screen tear off. It's like when you put a screen protector on your phone and you don't do it properly so you are left with a bubble or 2. These cars have something similar and idk if you've watched any endurance race for example you can see someone from the pitcrew take it off

Why are the screens sometimes blured? Like what kind of sensitive information does it have that we should not see? And is the competition who isn't allowed to see it not aware of these numbers? Like e.g. if its about a tire pressure range, that is has to be between X and Y, I would think at that level of racing, all the competition knows these are the range...
It's to hide important areas of information regarding car setup, TC, ABS, fuel levels, tyre pressures; we don't want to give any other teams our info, it's good practice to hide this when sharing content like this.
