- Winning in Middle Earth can be a challenge if your opponent knows more than you! Don't let that happen watch this video and you will be well on your way to the top of a tournament
Kingdom of Saxonia: www.kickstarter.com/projects/...
How to write a competitive army list: • How to Make a Competit... - Hry
Jacob I literally learned how to play this game from your videos. You should do a comprehensive magic overview.
Also I would enjoy watching you run through the factions and describe their strategy’s. Sorta like Green Dragons podcast.
The tip about the heroic combat into a hero has blown my mind, i've never seen anyone pull that off
Preemptive heroic strikes come up alot
Quick note on something you did in Tip #3: a model must Back Up if he can, but a model DOESN'T need to Make Way for someone. If you're worried about a big hero who's embedded in the enemy battle line is going to call a Heroic Combat, make sure the model that ties him down can't Back Up without the second rank Making Way . . . then don't Make Way. :)
This game just gets deeper and deeper the more you learn about it
Awesome video! I’d love to see something from you running through the brutal power attacks on monsters and how to use them best!
Top video Jacob, so useful to learn about these strategies. Thanks for sharing and teaching us.
Brilliant video. You're my go to channel for LOTR SBG content.
We have a tournement this weekend, and I sent your video to all players. Awesome tips.
That zoom in to Sharku's ass was tremendous Jacob! Keep up good work 😂😂😂
Hahahaha he's gotta be one of my favourite models
This video is really helpfull! I love the positioning tips. I would love more video's like this!
Not often I comment vids, but really good video! Competitive drives the MESBG scene forward
Solid, helpful examples of movement options. More like that!
I would like tips on over-coming high Defense like Dwarves, when your army list isn't particularly high strength (Rohan)
Hey mate, thanks for the comment.
Rohan has great strength its just about making sure you use it. When Rohan cavalry charges they get +1 strength. You are also able to piercing strike with all models that have axes to get an addition +1 strength (at a risk of lowering your defence). This should make chopping through dwarves not to hard
Great tips, thanks!🙏
Hey great video! By any chance you could do a tips vid on magic?
Finally a video made specifically for me!
When do you talk about bringing display boards?
-Liam
Great video man, as always
Don't know if anyone mentioned it but the tip on the Troll/monster heroes, I would be careful running the one in when you do it. The hero could always hurl don't forget :) Not incredibly dangerous but could have some troops lined up to be hit is all.
This is certainly true and something that you need to look out for! Especially if its a hero and monster where it can call a heroic combat and then do a hurl
Awesome vid - good for building up the community.
Thanks for the comment! I want to get as many people as possible involved in the game
What a glorious Sharku close up!
thx for video,all look nice
👍
Love that paint job on the uruks. What’s the color scheme for the armor?
You talking about the sadness of Gil Galad's horse getting shot... I feel you every game that my opponent snipe Bolg's Warg haha
As always great content mate.
Thanks mate! There is more on the way
Went to my first event in years on the weekend - was just wondering if you could give tips on missions - felt I had a lot more closer games than they should of been just through lack of missions - cheers
11:57 I am pretty sure in that case you can't attack the captain without attacking the guy on his right side because of the control zone
I think you're right, you would have to charge the warriors then wrap into the captain. Fortunately for the witch king, this is not a problem
Great video
Good tips.
Scenery and terrain question: what would be a decent material for a translucent, lit from below, Minas Morgul piece? A greenish resin?
Hey Jacob, are the Kingdom of Saxonia STLS going to be the same price on your website as they were on kickstarter? I know the stretch goals are a whole nother question but would i be able to get all the basic buildings for the kickstarter price?
#3 could be negated not only by a heroic combat but also by a barge brutal power attack right?
Great tips. When do you get the files as a Kickstarter supporter?
Came here to ask that also...
Thanks for the comment I'll put out an update tonight! It's coming end of September. We are working on the final few tweaks to the models
how did you get those figures
I'm Completely new, why does witch king have to call heroic strike before being charged by gil galad? Is a charged model unable to call a heroic strike? Or is it because heroic actions must be called at beginning of phase or something?
Beginning of the phase. I've been caught out by that before. Very much a risk/reward thing.
Tip #8
Doesn't Compel also trap the affected model? The spell says the model can't move for the rest of the turn, and I've always interpreted that to mean it can't Back Away
It's not considered as trapped. The model just can't move and make any strike if it wins the fight ;) If it looses it'll back away as any other model
This is correct, somewhere else in the rule book it states that you can always back away which takes precedence over spells
Point 2, combating into a hero/them wasting a point of might to strike preemptively blew my mind.
Point 7 though with the cavalry keeping distance, I'm curious what people think here.
At some point you have to charge with cavalry, you can't just keep backing away to protect the killing power you're not using and once you've charged you've lost the ability to back away to avoid being charged if you lose priority/the move roll off.
How do people time their first cavalry charges to get the most from their cavalry before basically committing them to combat regardless of who wins priority?
I know charging on a turn you don't get priority is better so you can pick your fights and if you get priority next turn you can back away and wait for another chance like that however this feels like a tactic that'll grind on most players.
The big thing with cavalry is that you want to charge all in with as much of your cavalry as possible on a turn that you lost priority. This way you pick your targets and next turn you have a chance of doing the same charge again.
You do sometimes have to be patient with it and you have to remember that if you back up you may loose objectives so there is a lot to keep in mind. It also doesn't help if your opponent is shooting arrows at you.
why did you guys pull 75% of your models off the store? i wanted to order some for myself for christmas
Unfortunately producing models is a large challenge and between all the other aspects of Conquest Creations it's difficult to manage time
Why does the witch King do not call a heroic strike when fighting Gil-Galad ?
Why does he have to call it before ?
Great question!
Heroic actions must be called at the start of the fight phase. Which means the Witch King won't be able to call one after Gil Galad has changed him
@@ConquestCreations ok thanks !
Does anyone know what camera he uses to film battle reports?
Thanks for the comment. At the moment I am using a Google Pixel 6 phone. I am planning on upgrading at some point to something that can shoot at better resolution and properly zoom but the pixel is good for what I'm currently doing
4:10
Ai papi, buy me dinner first
Hahahahahaha I didn't realise that when I said it
Tip #1 should be Just roll 6s
This one certainly helps but unfortunately is hard to implement hahaha
Blonde Uruk hai o.O
Hahaha I'm surprised the hair colour got a comment but the armour colour didn't!
Hi Jake, as a new player (and a solo player) I really picked up a lot of tips. I can try various strategies on both sides and try out various tactics. Great Video for veterans and new players. Thank you and thanks for supporting the actual game play maneuvers. I will watch out for them in your batreps. Great Show dude!!
Great tips, thank you! :)
