Watch Waitress's First Broadway Curtain Call Back, Celebrating Nick Cordero with Amanda Kloots

- Waitress returned to Broadway on September 2, and during its first curtain call of the reopening run, star/composer Sara Bareilles invited Amanda Kloots, wife of late original cast member Nick Cordero, to join the company on stage. Following a lovely speech, Bareilles, Kloots, and the cast performed Cordero's anthem, "Live Your Life." You can watch it here.

I have missed theatre so much. I'm literally watching all these "first" curtain calls and just sobbing.
Try being there! LOL I had the mask, which was required, and I had to wear my glasses, so I was crying and the glasses were fogging up and I was trying to wipe my eyes without taking the mask off...It was an experience. 🤣
When Sara did "She Used to Be Mine," I was sobbing so loudly that I'm pretty sure she could hear me. LOL
You can see me in the video, I have on a white sweater and a white clip in my hair. It's funny because I was so "dressed down" and now I dress up for the theatre again. But I was just coming out of the pandemic, so I wasn't used to being in public. Plus I had my pandemic weight on me...Ouch! 85 lb of that is gone now.
I ran into Amanda Kloots in the ladies' room and I thought, "I feel like such a slob!"
What a strong woman. God bless Nick and Waitress 😭🙏❤️
