A++ Brian again knocked it out of the park what a great video keep up the great work if you can expand on this that would be great i know it a lot of work but i do appreciate it immensely. I am a home user have no intention of being an IT professional. all of this is great information. P.S did you ever go to college for this you are one smart guy...
It takes years to get to a good level in I.T. and it all depends how much time you put in. Also there are a lot of avenues to go down in I.T. choose what path your interested in and start learning. Never give up and never think you know it all and open your mind to new ideas and ways of doing things. knowing something is better than nothing. Good Luck.
Just what I needed Brian as I bought my wife an ASUS laptop with no CD/DVD with Win 10, which she doesn't like. Can now revert to Wins 7. Thanks and have a great weekend!
You are an absolute legend. I had built my pc during December last year and had been trying to install windows 7 on my pc since (it's my favourite version of windows) and got this error every time. But this fixed it straight away. Thankyou so much.
I´ve been having problems with this all night long, I´m glad I had a little more in me to search another video and I found yours, thank you very much for the help, subbed.
the sunset wallpaper you are using is at my hometown, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. I recognise the sunset bar, anyway great tutorial video you made! I love it
Hi Brian, Always appreciate your videos. Ran into this issue and hopefully it will work. Thanks! Need to find one for Dell...I think it's the Intel 3.0 one you listed though. Cheers!
Cheers, glad you like it. I don't take no notice of my thumb down fan club, they seem to do it every video lol. They must be subscribed to know when to thumb it down lol.
First of all sorry for my bad english! Great video and it helped me alot to solve the problem. I have tried many other videos on youtube with bad results. Came across this upload and it was a great video and you explain it very good so even a novice like me could understand. By using EZ installer from asus made it so easy for me. Got my win7 back and no error on usb drivers I have another question regarding bootable USB. I have a support cd with all my drivers that came with my laptop. My BD / CD rom does not work and i wonder if its possible to make a bootable USB of that support cd? I have an older laptop with windows xp to read the cd. Can i make that content from my support cd in to a bootable usb on my xp laptop?
Note when using the WIndows/Office downloader tool, there may be two options for English - e.g. for Win10 English = USA only English International = UK + other English speaking countries (but not USA)
Hi! Thank you for the video, very thorough and I was very hopeful until I ran the ASUS EZ INSTALLER. ONE PROBLEM: It prompts me to select the source which only gives me the options of my CD ROM drives but obviously I only have the window ISO. I believe a few others have mentioned this problem as well. How do i get around this problem and complete the installer for the ASUS EZ INSTALLER so I can boot into it and install my windows? Thanks!
You can make a virtual driver from that ISO file if you mount the file. You can use demontools or Poweriso or something similar. Thats how i did it. If you have problems with your CD/DVD rom not working then use one of the tools i mentioned above
I have this problem, but I don't have windows installed on my computer, my c disk is formated, and I don't have any other computer near by. I have only bootable windows 10 USB and windows 7 DVD. Can I do something with this? Thanks
Trying to Install Windows 8.1 on a new hard drive. And it gives me the missing driver message. Thing is..... i have the windows 8.1 CD in the CD ROM Drive! And every video i watch has people that don't have a CD and instead use USB ISO file's embedded on a flash drive. Do i still need to load a ISO file for my OS even though i have the flippen CD literally in the CD-ROM. I need a solution to this problem. Anybody got any idea's?
Microsoft patched fake OS ISOs, this newer installations have been made to prevent further piracy even if your copy is legal, to bypass this when you reach the screen which ask you for the drivers what you have to do is close the installation, boot ISO from CD, open the disk driver and close it again, stard intallation again as normally and then wait for several minutes, your hard drivers will be now recogniced, this is the only thing that worked for me, the rest was just time wasted.
Thanks for the video. I'm kind of unsure of the process though. I'm working with an Asrock mobo. The (Asrock) Win7USBPatcher tool appears to create the USB install file, on my thumbdrive using the OS File (I have an ISO of Win 7 as well as a CD contaning the OS) Where does the RUFUS tool fit in? I'm still getting the CD DVD driver required error when I try to install it.
What tools should I use for my laptop? It's an Acer Aspire E5-575G. Can anyone help me please? I've tried looking for Acer's site but I can't find the same options the other manufacturers have like the video. Help please??? Thank you
Hi I have a hp 2000 laptop that had a pentium , I upgraded to a i3 2350m and 8gb ram and not when I download win 7 on it no drivers are there no wifi . Can you fix it ?
Your video was very helpful but I still have a challenge... I went to the "ASUS EZ Installer V1.03.06" link that you sent me but the page has died. I did search the ASUS site best I could but cannot find any Windows 7 drivers - this is after the gigabyte option failed to work. If you have any more suggestions I would be most grateful.
Thanks for the great Vid. Just a follow up to a question below by a user, about installing "ALL" those tools onto the same ISO. ie. ASUS,Gigabyte, MSI,Intel so that regardless of the motherboard, the drivers will all be there when they are required by the Windows 7 installer (thumb drive).... my question is, can it be done??? I mean just install one tool after another onto the ISO?? I can't see why not, but just asking in the event someone else has the same question.
I built my PC, im using a optical drive plugged into a sata3g (i think this is what my manual recommend. , on a asus board. Im installing on chipset raid with usb3 turned off. I keep getting this message and can not figure out where i went wrong?
Whats been driving me absolutely crazy is that I'm getting this error while installing via a cd/dvd rom drive with a legitimate disc from Microsoft (not some burned disc out of someones house), literally only been used once, not a single scratch or smear on it. as of typing this I've given up and am using the key to download an iso file right now and the usb boot tool while watching this video and hoping that works now and that my disc reader is maybe broken or something? although since i get to this screen its obviously reading the disc. If anyone can shed any light on why this is happening i would appreciate it very much. Its being installed on a wiped lenovo ideapad 330
How can i make an "bootable" USB Windows 7 installer with rufus? It can not format to FAT32. How do i format it to FAT32? But still pretty helpful too! Love your tutorials.
how odd haha i was building a pc for a client earlier and got this error, luckily i knew how to fix it but still funny you should upload this just a few hours after i encountered it.
How about laptop Dell v3568? First I boot by rufus, second I boot by Gigabyte Window boot installation tool and after install Win 7 succes, I can use keyboard + mouse but I can not access Network although I using cable.
just switch to a new operating system.. i use to install windows 7 ROG gaming O.S and the problem comes up... i did not find the remdy... then i switch to windows 7 with multi-lang and system.. when i boot windows in installation mode there are no problem occurred. so i think its in your o.s problem that your laptop or computer mother board does not support it.. its better to switch to another o.s until the problem will no longer appear. switch also to windows 8 and 10 they are more superior and complete than windows 7 operating system...

Okay i have linux mint atm on my new fresh pc i have no fucking idea what windows setup is asking for i've tried using terminal and made windows 7 bootable from usb flash drive i literally searched a lot,no solution found, when i am installing windows 7 it shows that error and all i see in drives is :X boot that's it i've tried moving driver installers and whatever not into usb didn't work, the final thing is that my linux is taking up entire hdd it's 1 partition my hdd is 1tb btw,i've heard that you don't need to clean hdd when installing windows it just will format the disk and delete existing system,i've tried to install rufus from old pc and make flash bootable with that , didn't work same shit, when i try to run any of intel chipset setups or whatever you call them, i get error lol, it's my 1st time installing windows i'm literally lost tf should i do?Should i just clean the hdd, create primary nfts partition? Or what. HELP ASAP!(Also i'm kinda new to this all driver stuff e.t.c.) Also my pc doesn't have cd/dvd reader.) I got this issue, when I open any of the installer like the Asus ez installer, well it says "Select disc source" but only detects my cd rom which is in drive letter "E" and "F" but i wanna burn the file on my USB which the drive letter is "G" Im not really good on computers so please I need an ASAP help sir, I badly need my laptop for school stuffs and wanna fix it as soon as possible. Thank u so much in advanced :)
When i try to run the ASUS EZ INSTALLER, it only gives me options to go from Windows Disk to USB instead of ISO to USB like the MSI demonstration from the video above. I'm watching this video because I don't have the Disk but the ASUS installer doesn't seem to give you a way around it like the MSI installer does. I believe it's the same issue that you had. How did you get the Installer onto the USB drive?

Mount iso image with daemon tools.
Hi, I'm trying to use ASUS EZ Installer, but I can't go any further when I reach "select your disc source", it just says please wait. Any ideas?
Have you solved the problem? im facing the same too

I have a DVD rom and having the same issue with win 7 disc.
My son has decided to install it from a DVD instead
I use DVD-ROM and I am getting this message!
i got the same problem
Thanks buddy
Britec, please help. Asus link is broken
does it work with aio iso made with ntlite
Yes you can use tools like that.
I just unplug the flash drive and put it in a different usb port and it always works for me.
That's a different issue to this one.
If you have a system with USB 2.0 ports then a Win7 installer may work if you plug the USB drive into a USB 2.0 port.
However, sometimes both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports will not work unless you add the USB 3 drivers.
It just depends on what chipset you have in the system.
That is correct, Windows 7 does not carry the chipset drivers from modern day motherboards and that's when this errors shows its ugly face.
would a missing wifi driver cause a missing driver error
nice
keep it up nice work i love ur work
No sirve la unica solucion es instalar una distro de linux y sobre esa eliminar volumen e instalar

may i know first what's the exact issue you're currently facing?
When i try to run the ASUS EZ INSTALLER, it only gives me options to go from Windows Disk to USB instead of ISO to USB like the MSI demonstration from the video above. I'm watching this video because I don't have the Disk but the ASUS installer doesn't seem to give you a way around it like the MSI installer does. I believe it's the same issue that you had.
How did you get the Installer onto the USB drive?
Same shit to me ..Anyone know something about the Asus Ez issue ?
