Trees up in the mountains spend so much time totally under snow when they are young, they barely grow year to year till they finally get tall enough to stay out of the snowpack

25:00 Here's a small tip I learned. On the bar oil jug I only put a small hole in the silver seal with a screwdriver on the opposite side of the handle. This way the oil comes out in a narrow stream so I don't spill it. If the seal is completely removed it makes a wide stream and makes a mess.

You living the life my boy. I've always wanted to go to Alaska and to go there to fell some trees, I love it. I'm in Georgia and Florida helping with this hurricane. So many people have been taken advantage of from tree people. I'm here to make money don't get me wrong but I have helped people who didn't have the money to pay to get the work done. I took a huge pecan tree off an elderly woman's home. A tree service told her $10,000 for the tree. I offered to take it off for free. They ended up scrounging some money together and gave me like $115 but I was doing it to help more than anything

Good show, worked as a cutter in 1979 and 1980 out of a camp north of Ketchikan. Ran 045 and 2100 Husky’s with 42” and 48” bars; square cut, skip tooth chains. I was in my mid 30’s at the time; worked Wa. and Or. also. It was a good time in my life and loved working in the woods. Stick with it young man and the memories will be there when you’re older; be safe in the big timber.

I've been to Skagway and you're right; it's definitely off the grid. My wife and I got there via ship, but I believe that many of the locals fly or own their own boat. It's definitely rugged up there. The topography is positively breathtaking (as I like to say, "pristine wilderness"). I love your channel. You're quite a skilled technician. Excellent content.
