These are our local heroes. The less adds car has the more own money spent to it. And many of these are built in home carage. Once My friend rolled his car, and four weeks later car was rebuilt and he drove next rally.
These guys are really the "heart & soul" of Finnish Rally Culture!! Total Respect!! And the spectators/fans are almost as "crazy" as the Drivers!! You must watch videos, where the Finnish Rally Fans are pulling, turning, pushing and what not, to get these cars "safely" back on the Stage/Road.
"LIINA PERSEESEEN!!" (Towline to the rearend!) Its literally saying towline to the ass (of the car). That guy is in every rally video. Legend.

It's part of the fun spectating the rally. :----) There really isn't much motorsports where you can get as close to the cars and drivers as in rally. Since it's most of the time the spectators asking if they are okay and first ones touching the car. I get what you mean tho. :)
I come from the eastern part of the country. You have no idea how duty bound to help I feel any time someone gets stuck in snow. Also the amount of desperation I feel is immense when there's a snowflake on the road and everyone loses any skill behind the wheel.

If you are still living in lapland a year from now and don't mind the cold you got an excellent change to see some epic action in Arctic Rally Lapland. One of the better events in Finnish national rallyes but sadly it was driven just a couple weeks ago. You are absolutely allowed (even expected) to help the drivers and cars out when they crash. Just remember to be safe, the cars come ~1-2 minutes intervals and remember that if you are someways away from the crash, warning the next driver by hand signals is absolutely necessary and a important job.

You apparently know car models/brands. I couldn't recognize a single one. That is one weird sport. Don't get me wrong, I've been driving cars since I was 10 years old when we lived in the countryside but I've never had any interest of car brands or models. I know a good car or not so good car when I'm driving. This was a fun and different video from you. Nice.

As a kid I once saw a VW Beetle in oncoming traffic veer off onto a field, flipping however many times.
The driver and the shotgun were flung off into the field through the windshield, don’t know what happened to them.

I've been watching rally live one time and a car almost hit me, i was sitting on a fence and it crashed and hit literally like 1.5m from me :D
No animals were hurt in this clip except a couple of squashed beetles :P

you do understand that is not a racing track. those are normal roads. and one of our national sports is turning a rally car back on its wheels. like those are just normal bystanders.

It's an exclamation so more like "Full throttle!" or "Step on it!" (Nasta lautaan!). There's no direct equivalent that I know of in the English language.
