I suggest adding the money from a Season to Save to a buffer fund for your Europe trip. Like you said...over fund that baby!

I agree with kella. I think with your credit and your income you could afford to buy a starter home on your own. However, as much as the rent increase sucks, wait just a little longer because the market is already going down and interest rates will end up doing the same. And if you save all you can between now and the fall of the market, you could get a great deal! I bought my house on my own and I make less than you.

Considering where she's going, I would agree. Summer is the most expensive time of the year to visit Europe, not to mention the most crowded. Hopefully, it'll be worth the cost.

No, that is just for spending!! My rent is covered through my full time paycheck

Correct! Total rent is double
My rent went from $900 to $1300 and that is just a room in a house

I know you wanted to be married before you bought a home, but in my opinion it could be better for you to have a starter home of your own and stop paying someone else.
I know it’s personal preference but I agree. My fiancé and I bought a home first and are only getting married this year. We have been engaged for almost 3 years now but our wedding is just before what would have been our 3rd engagement anniversary.
Having been married almost 30 years, I wouldn’t buy unless I know I’m staying in home a very long time. Too much $$ loss otherwise
Yeah I’d rather co-own and I don’t want to co-own with someone I’m just dating so I’ll wait, but I TOTALLY see the argument for buying before! If I could afford to buy on my own I would/will, but I imagine that I’ll be married before I could afford that
