  • We sure have come a long way from carrying our lunch in a paper bag. Now we can keep drinks cold in the bed of a truck for days before we need to replenish the ice. I have always been a fan of Yeti coolers but there's definitely a case to be made for a rugged work oriented cooler. The Milwaukee Packout cooler definitely feels like a product I wouldn't mind using at work.

Keep in mind the milwuakee is at a slight disadvantage. There is a larger volume of air to intitally cool amd keep cool due to the yetti being more comapact and fuller with the same amount of ice, which also helps the yetti retain its cool temputure with the ice being held together closer. A better test IMO would be to fill them to matching internal volumes, and measuring the amount of water per day to truly see who was melting faster.

@@WorldofHVAC yeti does come out on top but there's a few brands that keep out cooling yeti such as blue and maluna

This is awesome, exactly the video I was looking for. I've been trying to decide between these 2 coolers. Really helped. Keep it up! 👍

They make hose gaskets that have little protrusions on the outside diameter that fit in the threads to prevent from falling out. Mc master p/n 62215T88

I own 10 of Milwaukee coolers, and they work just as noted - 5 days. And if they do not sit on direct sun all 5 days, then i find no water at ll, but ice. In the normal use, both coolers go thru a mixed use, inside, outside, thru day or night. But not in the direct sun or outside in the constant warm temps for all five days!

Thank you for the video, it is always appreciated, and it is great info for new buyers.

and one other thing, on Milwaukee coolers, you don't need to use handles to carry one of those, if you dont want to. In fact, we use handles only if cooler is packed heavy, with glass bottles and ice, then two people carrying it using handles.

One day I'll get a Yeti (the rescue red ones are sick!) but I own both the Milwaukee coolers. (16 QT and 40 QT) both of these coolers are beasts. I've had the 16 QT for about 8 months and its been great to me. (I got it during the holidays during buy more save more but I dont remember what the savings were back then) I just recently got the 40 QT Milwaukee because it is down to $199 and also a part of the current "BUY MORE SAVE MORE" at Home Depot where if you spend $180, you save $30 (only on the website/online- in store you get an organizer for a dollar that retails for around $30) so I ended up paying $169 plus taxes for my 40 QT cooler! I think it was a crazy deal! I'm more excited that I can stack the smaller one on top of the 40 QT and maybe even use a few more packout boxes to store items for beach trips!
    Great video dude!

Why? Yeti’s are made in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Buy a better American 🇺🇸 cooler

I mean milwaukee is a tool company they don't really make coolers like that so if they randomly started makling coolers and they already had one better than the best one in the world that would be pretty unexpected honestly it's impressive that it's even in the same league

I didnt have that issue but it's a regular hose gasket around the drain. Easy to replace
