    Our local recycler has a shredder that rips the cans open to drain out all liquid and then goes through a magnet to pull out any nails, screws...you know people put things like spent welding rods in them to dispose of them etc. Then they go over on a chain conveyor with fans to separate trash, paper, cigarette buts etc. and onto a scale to be weighed so they can pay each person bring in aluminum cans and on into the baler.

    Stupid question maybe. Can you weld a rail in that trailer. Then mount a sliding thing on it. With an Electric motor wind just the sliding all the cans out. Seems abit quicker.

      @SquishyZoran Před 2 měsíci

      I like this idea but it’s probably not worth it since I can see it getting jammed way too easy.

    • @sebrassino
      @sebrassino Před 2 měsíci

      @@SquishyZoran It probably does. But.. you can also make a of door at the other side. then drive this thing in and just push it out. idk. Or just lift the trailer up. I find that loading ramp just extremely inefficient.

    Curiosity…why do the bales weigh differently? Same size, no?

    • @Holabirdsupercluster
      @Holabirdsupercluster Před 2 měsíci +1

      Variation in the weight of the aluminum used to make the cans? Even if it's a relatively small variation, each bail is (presumably) a random assortment of different kinds of cans, and at the scale of a bail that variation might make the weights different.

    Michael do you know much about the recycle industry of cardboard things like that? we have a factory close to i live and called Pratt and they recycle cardboard and they have contracts like Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart ect... Is there any money in that like can you sell cardboard and paper and everything like that to be recycled? I watch your videos regularly. That 53' trailer that you crushed the other day wow didn't look like it was hurt 😅. Be safe I'd appreciate a response back on this question, if you know anything about it.
