  • This Kourabiedes recipe is central to our household’s foodie festivities come Christmas. That mixture of butter and almond makes for an authentic Kourampiedes recipe, and they’re just one of the best Greek Christmas cookies I can think of (though I do love Melomakarona too!)
We bake these by the plateful through December, taking them around to friends’ houses when they host us for Christmas celebrations. Try it; they’re not hard to bake, and make a great change from a mince pie, even if I do say so myself!

I have made them they are yummy but the amount of butter is too much and affects the icing sugar

Thank you for trying the recipe and I'm glad you like it! ❤️ I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “affects the icing sugar” but I assume you are referring to the last step where you coat the cookies with it, right? If so, it’s quite crucial that you let them cool completely before you coat them with icing sugar. Otherwise the icing sugar gets moist and becomes sticky.
