    I would love to see behind the scenes post processing workflow for this video. The quality is great but its hard to find consistent information on the best workflows to get the highest level quality final product.

    We need a HQ download link to view in our Meta Quest 2 (and to show clients)! This is the best explanation and presentation of what's possible in VR 180 to-date.

    If I want to use multiple of these to stitch together into 360 (on a custom Mount) how many would you recommend using? The optics on the 360 options I have seen are unacceptable.

    Great work here. I always wonder why even tho this video is a 4K video and has a 4K option, it doesn't have a 4K tag on it.

    The way I think of the framing in both 180 degree and 360 degree filming is that you have to follow the 1/3 of 1/3rds law.. In other words. You need to focus in at the center of the image of a 3x3 grid (the 1/3 center)..and then within that, follow the normal 1/3 camera rules.. The nice thing about 360 degree cameras, is that they don't split the 3D effect in front of you, they keep it 2D..and then your visor converts it to Stereogram. Its much nicer to look at that way. The problem I have with Sterograms in a VR visor is that I can never seem to get them lined up 100 percent right, and it always feels uncomfortable to look at. And I find that it also pushes your "depth of action" back. In stereograms, the actor has to stand back. But with 360 degree opposing lenses, you can get within inches of the actor if you have to, and it looks fine.

      Great question! Both the R5 and R5 C share many of the same features, but there are some differences. You can find these in the [Recording] section of the VR RECORDING GUIDE at the link here: canon.us/441Ng05

    Hello, I am looking to buy one of these for work. Just a question on using a tripod. I guess it needs an extension length as it will capture the tripod legs if it is just attached as normal. What are people using with this? Any recommendations are welcomed as I am a newbie to this. Thanks in advance.

    • @CanonUSA
      @CanonUSA  Před rokem +1

      Hi Philip,
      Our Cinema support agents are the best ones to answer this in detail. You can contact them at 855-246-3367, 24 hours, 7 days a week, excluding holidays. The lens captures stereoscopic 3D imagery to a single full-frame image sensor. Viewing it in 2D or 3D depends on the processing and the device you will use for viewing. Additional information is on our website here: canon.us/RF_dual_fisheye_lens
      We hope this helps.

    • @brettcameratraveler
      @brettcameratraveler Před rokem +1

      Not really. It will be 360 but only in 3D looking forward or backward. It will transition to 2D as you look to the sides. Also, you'll likely have parallax and stiching issues when looking in those directions. Get a real 360 3D camera instead to solve these problems. Oh and don't use glue ;
