21:13 Making Of 'Comic Relief Doctor Who Uncovered' doc (from VHS release)
48:06 Original Comic Relief TV links
The Curse of Fatal Death (1999) is a charity spoof, lovingly mocking the short-comings of the classic TV series. Although widely not seen as canon amongst Whovians, it is regarded as a significant parody, being written by future show-runner Steven Moffat - as well as featuring a female Doctor!
No DVD/ Blu-ray release so far, except a clip of Rowan's Doctor communicating to the Master in Tersuran, on 'Comic Relief's 25 Monster Years' DVD...
Certain lines from the 'Fatal Death' Doctors also reappear as dialogue in NuWho incarnations, such as "I've put a lot of work into it".
In Lance Parkin's #DOCTORWHO novel 'The Gallifrey Chronicles' (2005), there is a passing reference to the Doctor having "three ninth incarnations", which was intended to refer to the Ninth Doctor played by Christopher Eccleston in the BBC Wales Doctor Who series, this Ninth Doctor played by #RowanAtkinson, & the Ninth Doctor played by Richard E Grant in the 'Scream of the Shalka' (2003) webcast...
This special edit includes: feature length version of the film, '#ComicRelief Doctor Who Uncovered' Making Of documentary (from VHS release), the original TV links & broadcast opening credits.
    Cast:
The (Alternative) 9th Doctor - Rowan Atkinson
The Quite Handsome Doctor - Richard E. Grant
The Shy Doctor - Jim Broadbent
The Handsome Doctor - Hugh Grant
The Female Doctor - Joanna Lumley
    Emma - Julia Sawalha
    The Master - Jonathan Pryce
Dalek Voices - Roy Skelton, Dave Chapman
    Crew:
    Executive Producer - Richard Curtis
    Written by Steven Moffat
    Produced by Sue Vertue
    Directed by John Henderson
Director of Photography - Chris Howard
    Production Designer - Simon Kimmel
    Visual Effects - Andy McVean
Post-production Visual Effects: The Mill (debut DW work!)
With grateful thanks to Dylan Rees for the televised link segments.

Joanna Lumley was my first impression of how well a woman could play Doctor Who. Thank you for posting this. 🔴

"Goodbye forever! Mister. And Mrs. *DOCTOR!"*
    [pulls lever, and gasps]
    _"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~"_
-A classic moment in Doctor Who history.
Also, fun fact: This was made two years after the release of Tomorrow Never Dies, the 18th James Bond film. Jonathan Pryce was portraying that film's villain, the classic Bond villain inspired Elliot Carver, so as he's wearing his Master Costume in this special, he's wearing Carver's fatigues underneath. Just thought you should know.

Jonathan Pryce is so epically talented that it’s crazy how frik’n hilarious he can be. But yet still be wickedly awesome in Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983), among a multitude of other incredible roles.

I love Doctor Who since ever, but I never knew of this! Effing German Broadcasting. Genius! Imho it's the pinnacle of the humour of the series! 💖👍 Chapeaux to Pryce and Atkinson! 👏

Rowan Atkinson was a great Dr. Who.
I wish he had played a season.
But, Jonathan Pryce stole the show.
    Villains usually do.

I've always said that great sci-fi needs to be able to make fun of itself on occasion. Drama and tension are great ,but humor can be used surgically applied .Just remember, less is more.
    Even better for charity.

I think the ending with the doctor and master being A couple would work better if the roles were reverse: the master as A woman and the doctor as A man.

Okay I feel a bit cheated that I never got an official Richard E. Grant Doctor Who. Btw, I’m crush’n on Julia Sawalha in this Companion/Mrs Doctor Who role. 😍

Kind of odd how there was a non-canon 5 additional doctor regenerations that never got seen in the canon series
Edit: I only just thought of this but it would be a tad bit annoying if they somehow canonize this because of the whole ‘timeless child’ controversy
14:48 Yo is that Dr. Simeon?

(Enter a group of Daleks, led by a Black and Gold Supreme Dalek.)
The Master: "After three centuries of having gone through those sewers, only the Daleks would accompany me, because only the Daleks don't have noses."
Subordinate Dalek: [implying the he and the Doctor have met before] "SO DOCTOR, WE MEET AGAIN!"
The Doctor: "Yes. How are things?"
The Master: "Observe, Doctor. I am no longer merely a Time Lord. My body has been augmented by superior Dalek technology."
(The Master's right arm has been replaced by a sink plunger.)
Emma: "So what can you do with that then?"
    Master: "What?"
Emma: "You don't know, do you?"
Black and Gold Dalek Supreme: [losing patience] "EXTERMINATE!!!"
    All Daleks: "EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!!"
Master: [interrupts] "Stop! No! After three hundred and twelve years of climbing through the biggest and most disgusting sewers in the cosmos, after three centuries of wading through those vast steamy lakes, climbing those huge squelchy mountains, after a lifetime of only dung slugs for food and the occasional company on those long, lonely nights. After all that, I'm going to kill the Doctor myself, with my own bare hands! Die Doctor, DIE!!!" (The Master lunges forward, the Doctor and Emma step aside and he falls down the trapdoor again screaming.) "AAAAHHH!!!!"
The Doctor: [to the Daleks] "Don't worry, I believe he knows the way out."
(The Daleks all have their eye-stalks quickly looking at the door, as an even older Master enters, spitting slime.)
The Master: "Six hundred and twenty four years in a sodding SEWER!"
    The Doctor: "This way!"
(The Doctor and Emma run off, around the trapdoor.)
    The Master: "This way!"
All Daleks: "EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!!!"
The Master: "After them, you fools! Get them!" (The last Dalek bumps the Master who falls into the sewer yet again, screaming again) "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" (He re-enters with very long silver hair, using a walking frame.)
The Master: [wheezing] "Nine hundred and thirty six years in a sewer. Wait for me! Wait for me!"

Hello. Apparently, 'The Curse of Fatal Death' has been taken down from the official 'Doctor Who' CZcams channel. Don't know why, but good to see it still here via your channel, CP.

Nice to see 'The Curse of Fatal Death' in all its glory. I first watched this story on VHS at a friends' house back in 2010. 😃
On a side-note, will you be uploading the 'Soldiers of Love' audio series by MJTV (who also produced 'TravelWise') any time soon?
    Best wishes,
    Tim 🙂

@@CriticalPenguin Thanks for your reply. It's a shame the MJTV website isn't around anymore as I got my CD copies of 'Soldiers of Love' back in 2014. Hope you'll be able to find digital versions of these audios, otherwise I'd be happy to send the audios one by one to you via private e-mail. Tim 🙂

So bad that this was, it was what the original Dr Who was like. 😅 Do wonder though. If the BBC could do this spoof and have the rights to Dr Who why on earth didn't they bring it back then??? Considering how BIG it is now
