- Following my first Guide for Battlefield 2042 (BF2042) focusing on Lis, I finally got Tier One Mastery along with my Engineer and C5 Mastery Badges. So, let's celebrate! I've also been blown away by the huge level of engagement & support for the Lis Guide (thank you so much, sincerely). I wanted to take this opportunity to plug some of the gaps you've rightly pointed out before closing this chapter & moving on to another Specialist. BF2042 has so much to offer and I want to keep moving through the game.
So in this vid we'll be looking at more fun uses for the G-84 TGM Missile and some of my favourite moments as a Lis player. We'll have a very quick look at the Repair Tool as a weapon (as I've covered this off elsewhere) and have a little fun at the end :)

With the sniper hunting I find using a thermal scope to spot them then hiding behind cover gives me a little more confidence in getting the kill
Confession - I’ve never used a thermal scope once. What gun do you usually put them in, Marksman rifle or sniper? I’d like to give it a try!
@@timelessgamer_UK not gonna lie its a little glitchy so i stopped using it. i used to use it with the RM68 but if someone is in smoke even just a little bit you cant see them with the thermal and it threw me off. imo the holo sight is best for me
Whenever I see a sniper scope glint, I always 3d spot. It's much easier to locate them that way when you're firing your lissle. Great vid, keep up the good work!

You are very good at using the Lis rocket! I use it, I like it, but mostly I only hit ground vehicles. Helicopter and plane are hard to hit.
Have you checked out my main Lis guide? Keep at it, you will certainly hit air vehicles with a bit of practice!

Very funny to use Lis rocket as anti-sniper gun. By the way, if you mark sniper before shoot it will be easier to hit. You will see a red mark on sniper.

I hope you enjoy the channel library -- I'm still quite new, so trying out new formats (some straight to the point, others slipping in the odd movie reference / joke) and seeing what works. The more variety in formats the more fun for everyone. Constant rules on all vids: 1) no ripping on people; 2) no bad language (my kid watches); 3) share at least one gameplay mechanic maybe people didn't know; and 4) be positive. I want the channel to be a fun / chilled place, we've all got enough to deal with in our day to days.

Another great video man! I'm glad to see you promoting climbing on friendly vehicles. Having people repair like this is so good, you can keep evading while also being healed. One odd thing is that even with this being a feature, the rear seat slots for the CAV, which are essentially doing the same as these repair ride-alongs, they repair at a slower rate in these seats.
I see you are also trying to get people not to leave your videos at the start of your outro... I've been struggling myself to keep people as soon as I start to wrap up. I even put some of my best clips for the end, but to no avail :/
Ride alongs are brilliant, saw them in your vid as well. It's an Engineer thing! But yeah I mean it's a seriously good thing to do, I didn't put it in the guide at first as you know... it's not really what I would encourage someone new to do. It's definitely one to save for when you've got a bit more experience as Eng. But yeah you're a mobile health pack who can whip out rockets, EMP and other goodies without skipping a beat. What's not to love?
I've been on YT long enough to start getting some good data, and actually keeping people to the end isn't why I put the best clip in the vid at the end. I can see there's a core of viewers who really do take the time like yourself to watch my vids to their conclusion, and these little bits are specifically for you guys & girls. If you took the time, I think you all deserve something :)
YT is so different from work. In the office people have to listen to the end they don't have a choice -- it has made me wonder how many ppl would walk out of my team / global updates if they could!! Am I really so bad that X% walk off within 30 seconds and only Y% or so can stand to listen to me for 10-15 minutes?! It's something to think about!! Perhaps I should start each meeting with some BF Gameplay & last night's sick Bolte M5 AT Mine stitch up with a Joker voiceover :D
Anyway crack on, the channel is growing and I'm nearing that 500 milestone. Faster than many but not as fast as I'd hoped but that's life! And the algorithm... still annoyed how YT arbitrarily executed the Joker vid...
Excellent part 2 to the Liz guide I never thought to counter snipe with tgms since when people do that to me it doesn't really work (but only because I see that ominous red light and know what's coming lol) also loving that you're clearly a matrix fan
Thanks again for the comment! Honestly I’ve never had a problem taking out snipers, especially when the shot isn’t going straight at them & they’re looking down their scopes. I used to consider taking out a sniper a bit of a waste of a missile, but after being shot one time too many I’ve made an exception 😅
I’m basically a child of the 80s/90s so yeah I draw a lot of my cultural references from there. Glad you made it to the end, I thought about putting that sequence up front but decided to make it a little Easter egg for anyone kind enough to make it to the end!
Honestly I think that’s all I’ve got to say about Lis. I could play for another 50h and unless someone showed me something, I don’t think there’s a grunt more to be had. She’s brilliant though and you never know what each new patch or Season will bring!

Your anti-sniper strats are the same as mine when I use the UCAV on BF4, except the snipers I kill never seem to learn their lesson. I'll get someone 6-0 and they still try the same thing xD
So long as the snipers are punished for their snipiness I’m all good with any strat! I don’t actually hunt snipers per say, I just go after any that took a crack at me but missed 😂

Nice Video mate. I wonder how many new engineers know about pointing your cannon etc in the direction

There’s all sorts in the game - some are definitely wiser than others. I have noticed that a lot of the better pilots do have a habit of repeating their dodge tricks ie some are break left types whilst others prefer to break right. One or two missiles can usually figure out who’s who & you can adjust. Personally I like it when pilots put up a fight - seriously, it’s more fun. Better satisfaction when you do hit them. So far on the Asian server, there’s only one pilot I’ve met who truly confounded me. I did hit them in the end but pffff took about 10 missiles to do it! Lis can raise her game when good pilots come along. It’s fun :)

Did you know that (on pc) the maneuverability of the missile is bound to your mouse's DPI? So if you can adjust it with the push of a button on you'll be able to chase just about anyone.
I didn’t know that no - anything technical I’m properly rubbish at, took me long enough to even figure out how to use Nvidia Shadowplay. I really want to try using Lis with pad, and see what the experience is like.

@@timelessgamer_UK I am a T1 Lis player on PS4. The Lis on gamepad experience is a difficult one. The maneuverability is very tight, especially when boosting. I will check out part one of your Lis guide, and might make my own for gamepad users. Great video, very entertaining.

Yo love playing lis but how do I increase the sensitivity of the rocket? Feels like I have to swing from America all the way to Thailand and then back left to Denmark just to aim it
So Dice made sure that the Lissile couldn’t swing too much after patch 3.2 was rolled back. I haven’t changed any of my settings from default. The best advice I can give other than what’s been said in the two vids I did on her is to try to predict the flight path. There’s only a limited amount of course correction we can do in the air. Love the analogy you used 😅

Turn off DLSS in your graphics settings and you’re good to go!

Keep at it - helicopters and jets are absolutely everywhere now, we need as many Lis players as we can get
How do you hop seats on Pc if u know how? Cuz I can’t seem to do it
Oh just press the corresponding F key - so F5 or F6 I believe for the choppers. So long as the seat is empty, you can move freely around. You can do that in any vehicle if a position you prefer becomes free!
What game modes do you like to play with Liz the most
Conquest - vehicle heavy and free flowing in terms of direction / where the action is happening. For Breakthrough I like Paik.
I’m also a fan of the limited edition game modes but sadly I missed them most due to work / summer holidays with the family. Basically wherever there’s a vehicle, I like Lis. She’s not too effective in infantry heavy modes. I’m hoping I can have another try when Redux comes around.

Ill try to figure it out but the problem I’ve not managed to solve is I play on an ultra widescreen monitor (which I adore) that leaves the black bands top and bottom. I believe I can format the video to remove them but it won’t actually give more screen space (I tried). Anyway I won’t play it all out here I get your request and I’ll try to solve it. I cracked it for Overwatch but BF is eluding me!
I will try, but please bear with me as I do. If I need to change the recording settings it’ll be a few vids before the changes flow through as I’ve got so much great stuff I want to share, I just need to find the time! As you know with BF, the same moment never happens twice & would hate to lose it.
I talk too much - I understand, I’ll work on it, let me see what I can do without changing monitor.

Is there any special configuration for missile maneuverability?
The only must is switch off DLSS, that removes the motion blur when the Lissile is in flight. Otherwise no, I use default. It’s worth nothing in patch 3.2 Dice seriously nerfed the turning circle of the missiles as it was getting ridiculous - choppers didn’t stand a chance.

As a good heli pilot who’s still learning I absolutely hate good Lis players. There is nothing more frustrating in this game than waiting 2 minutes to get a heli and getting shot down after 5 kills by the same lis who shot me down last spawn.
Part of me wants to be cheeky and say “glad to be of service” but I really do get your point. I was pushed onto Lis because Helicopters were utterly dominating the rounds I was in. A good pilot in frankly any heli (I include Mi240 and Condor in that) can cause havoc, never mind several at once. After patch 3.2 when shoulder launchers became far fewer in number, I knew I had to step up!
I really enjoy playing heli too - hope you’ve seen that on the channel - so I know exactly where you’re coming from. A good Lis is as frustrating as a good pilot. I will however put my neck on the block here and say as someone who plays both to an alright level (that’s not false modesty - I’m just ‘good’ with both nothing more) I think the skill bar is about right for Lis. If you’ve put the hours in & got your eye in, the reward is there for you. The buff Lis got in 3.0 was insane, hilarious even - choppers didn’t stand a chance. It was right to roll that back & I think we’re in a good spot now.

@@timelessgamer_UK For sure the balancing is good for Lis right now. For me who mainly plays medic, I find it hard but very satisfying to land lis rockets. So I can appreciate a good lis player when I encounter one. But god damn is it frustrating to get shot down twice by the same player. I didn’t see your heli gameplay. I’m gonna check it out.
@@timelessgamer_UK I was wondering what’s your take on the balancing of the stealth heli now that you don’t have a repair module. I feel like it’s to easy to kill them for one with lis because it’s so big and not that fast and second with the aa who just lights it up in a matter of seconds.
I personally think it’s fair, though I think it’s interesting the Nightbird was allowed to keep both. The Stealth is ridiculously powerful - can’t be locked onto, has great AA defence with its cannon and bombs which can cripple Infantry and vehicles alike. If you flare and run, you can easily get back into stealth to avoid a second missile. Wildcats are very easily defeated and a good pilot can basically wipe out the entire board. If you’ve a moment, check out my “how to play the stealth heli anti vehicle role” video. You’ll see my point.
Helicopters are way, way too powerful in the game if in the hands of a good pilot without a counterbalance like a good Lis played. I can dodge AA wildcats, I can kill them easily by staying in their blind spots. If I have a copilot we can EMP them to make it even easier. Jets are hard to fly & easy to kill (too easy to be honest they’re a bit of a joke IMO). An Apache is brutal as well. Without Lis, the helis would absolutely rule the game. But - the skill bar is there. You can’t just pick Lis and lock on. It takes a lot of practice to get good at her, knowing when to shoot & take a heli down.
I consider a good pilot vs a good Lis a fair fight, with Lis coming out on top in the end as eventually they’ll get the hit. The heli can do a lot of damage until then, but - Lis will always get you if the good player is determined to do so. I wouldn’t do anything to make helis more powerful, that’s my honest view. I really do think it’s balanced.

@@timelessgamer_UK Fair point. I love the stealth heli but I guess I’m just not adjusted to it since I’m a nightbird main. I completely forgot to name the railgun tank as a counter but I’m playing right now and just got a game with this tank sitting in spawn just camping my heli away. On top of that he had this device that destroys rockets so there was nothing I could do. What’s your opinion on that ? In my opinion that’s just way to strong that he’s able to sit in spawn completely invulnerable to infantry and helis.
I just tried to use her but two rockets don't ever destroy tanks or helicopters for me

The Lissile 100% one-hit kills the Nightbird and Stealth Helicopters along with Jets. Two missiles to kill an Apache / Hokum. Nobody can kill an air Transport alone.
Vehicles, especially the chunky ones, can only be one-shot by 3xC5 or 3xAT Mines. Nobody else can kill them alone, not even a rail gun. The RPG with its two rockets if you hit a wildcat in the rear can kill it, but that’s it.
Tanks and armoured vehicles are chunky and require team play to down unless you’re using AT Mines or C5. Lis can do damage / tip the balance as I hoped the video shows. It’s a team effort! Thanks for the comment, happy to discuss further!
@@timelessgamer_UK The Brawler needs 3 at mines or 4 c4 to kill since it has explosive resistance (35 damage per c4 and 40 for an at mine vs the normal 40 per c4 and 60 per at mine for tanks). Everything else takes 3 c4 or 2 at mines or less to kill. Every other engineer can solo any armor with a recoilless, at grenades and a scar with ap grenades so long as the armor doesn't have aps.
If the Tank / MAV / Brawler sat there not repairing itself, shooting back, using mitigation or moving away and let you hit every shot in the rear... maybe!! In practice, I don't think we'd get away with that unless the player in the tank is literally asleep at the wheel! But technically yes it may be possible, I take your word for it. For me, it's always been a team play if not AT Mines or C5@@TheDBZ_KING7_Official
@@timelessgamer_UK I'm just speaking from my general experience on PS4, tied with T1 for the scar, at mines and engineer. When the armor pops fast repair, if it takes 5 or more damage while its active, the repair is canceled instantly. With that being said, you can easily solo anything with fast repair so long as you tickle it before it recovers too much.
