Thanks for sharing. it's very details and helpful. I will do our it in this Spring. It would be nicer if it includes how to install the posts as well. Please keep post more vid and I subscribed.
Hey brother good job on informing people how to hang a vinyl gate, I’m here for constructive criticism. The looks nice👍, I also make vinyl fences and gates, noticed the gate isn’t the same height as the post. Do customers complain about the difference? Awesome vids either way👍
My comment might save a contractor a head ache if it is noticed. If you tead the instructions that come with the systems. They all say to align the gate. But your gunslinging method would work to, I guess. Im too perfect sometimes. By the way, it was meant constructively.
How do you get the screws on the hinges to catch the post? My hinges on my door are coming loose because the screws can't catch the post and stay tight.
@@cansupplywholesaleltd9343the aluminum part bought with the kit isn’t present on both sides in the post because of the shape of it. So they screws won’t reach on one side does this matter?
Hello! You would have to flit the hinges and latch around to the the other side. Unfortunately this will leave screw holes in the vinyl post and gate. Sometimes we can get plugs for this holes or use some white silicone to blend them in. Another option when doing the switch around is the purchase new posts and start fresh.
Hello, not sure I know what you mean, but I will take a shot at it. When you hold up your gate to your opening you can use use your feet under the bottom and arms to hold the gate in place when it gets screwed at your desired height. Alternatively you could also block it up to your desired height and then screw the hinges in place.
Thanks for your feedback. Due to situational factors on this install the top hinge had to be placed where it is. The great thing about our gate system is that we have aluminum throughout the gate and also the supporting post its hinged on. The system is very strong, so there is never any worries with strength.
Thanks for your feedback. We actually have aluminum throughout the gate posts and through the fence posts to ensure a strong gate. The hinges and latches are screwed into metal on both sides this way no matter where your put your hinges and latch. This makes for a very strong gate!
@@cansupplywholesaleltd9343 But I cannot imagine there is a gate upright insert in the gate, correct? Usually there is nothing in there - just hollow. Most manufacturers use a pocket now.
@@desiredsecrets86 Hello. Yes your right typically there is not metal through the whole gate uprights, however our gates do have this. Our gates have metal throughout the gate uprights on both sides to insure a strong gate. There are many different designs for gate posts including a bracket system inside the gate upright, which we also supply. Not all vinyl fence is made equally! We try and supply only the best quality.
Thanks for an informative Freedom gate install. What is the specified gap between the gate & the post? Thx.
Hello John! Typically its about an inch. The hinges are adjustable so you can increase or decrease this gap as needed.

Gates are almost never the same size, as they are manufactured that way.

And Ill get my gates feom somewhere else in case yours are just a little off. Lmao
Looks great! Where can I buy all the materials to fabricate the gate myself? I would like to buy the aluminum hardware and all the pieces needed.
Hello, we sell the gate kits. Please contact sales@cansupplywholesale.ca
Looks good. Thanks for the video. Looks a little too high
Wish you would talk as you do the job..
Why and how someone comments is good. It might from his wife. For me it’s a stupid clip

Hello, there should be aluminum in behind the vinyl post that the screws attach to. This will help hold the screws securely in place.

My gate was installed as an outswing. My latch has the lever on the inside and the lock mechanism on the outside. How do I fix this? Thanks

Need more detail on putting on the metal hinges
The 3.25” is too much btw your fence gonna have a huge gap
The part on attaching the gate was COMPLETELY USELESS! Exactly how do you support it no keep it aligned with the opening in order to screw it in!

That gate looks terrible....!
Didn’t show shit !
The hinges are installed in the wrong location it needs to be next to the top and bottom rail. that’s the strongest points..... 🧐🧐🧐🤣🤣🤣🤣

That is correct
Have you read the short story: "The Owl Critic"?
Terrible installation. ALWAYS put your hinges on the rails in the corners.. has more meat. Wind is going to destroy that one day.
