hoping for more video on the Gate install and how its put together.
Great detail video 👍🏻 Just a few tips for the comment section it's easier if when installing the pickets to have the top rail but with only one end slid into the post. So if starting from left to right have left end of the top rail slid into the post but the right hand out. It will keep all of your pickets in line. Also if you have more than two line post in your fence line it's best to run a string line on the ground from the first post to the last post then keep every post in line with the string keeping about 1/8 inch off of the string and level. Usually the easiest method is to install all of your post and bottom rails first and let your concrete settle for a day if you try to do it all at the same time the wind could push your post over in the wet concrete and you would have a crooked fence. Really enjoyed the video great looking fence. Take care.
Thank you for the detailed explanation 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video. Appreciate the excellent explanations and 0 wasted time....well done, thank you. Hope you got your tablesaw back! :)
Nice job! I'm like you and watch every video I can to grab tips from each one. Going to build my 1st fence in the coming weeks.
Thanks for the nice words !!!! Glad it helps you alittle.
Mike
How did it go ?
Not terrible. If you do another one in the future I'll tell you the trick to make everything look flush. Make sure your top gate rail lines up with the rest of top rail. It doesn't look straight when when they don't line up. If gate hits bottom you can cut upright piece 2." You can still adjust them if you want. Rivets go a long way
I'm getting ready to do 700' of PVC vinyl and watched your video because the thumbnail eluded to some unique and (presumably useful) tool that would help me in my install. Turns out the tutorial was all common sense stuff and only after suffering through all 17 minutes did I see the stupid wisk.
When I'm dying, no matter how I'm dying I want those 17 minutes back.

You need to put in new notches when you cut the rails. They make a too for that.
Great video - really helped me to plan our fence - one question though...can you do a custom width on the gate? I only have 36" from inside post to the house wall and need to fill that with a gate - not sure if I order the gate package if I will be able to adjust the width like you can with the panels.
Yes you can ! Planning is definitely key here and taking your time ! Ha.
Good luck !
Mike
Dug a single hole each day. Uses auger. 😆
That east coast rocky soil will get ya ! 😂
Can you show me how to do work plan for permit . Thank you
I’d go to the township, as for site plan. My township prints them out. Then just draw on the plan and submit.
They usually walk you through it.
@@FamilyDIYtv you write Down supply for them or just draw the plan for fence
Where did you get your fence from?
Lowes but can also get from Home Depot. It’s a Barrett outdoors fence, sold under multiple names.
No disrespect but you used the wrong inserts for the gate post. It looks like an A the H posts are for the line posts in high wind areas. Again no hate, I was just watching to see how other people have building to try to do my job faster I get paid by the post the more the merrier lol
appreciate the response! you had me questioning myself, so i double checked the website - ha The one's I used are correct.
i appreciate the nice comment my man, no issue !
Happy Holidays !
Mike

Videos about fences not plumbing ! What video you watching?
