The world would be heaven if everyone were like Carol. I love this woman. I loved how she talked to the little girl. It was an honest direct connection of love and support, encouraging and gave hope to the possibilities
Burt was a huge star. Loved his laugh. These were great times. Now the world is a huge mess that makes no sense to me. We lost our way and we dont know how to get back. Sad indeed
I only saw the q and a the first time it aired but it anyone knows where it exists I'd love to know. I young man "teen" probably asked if he could sing, and he did what I did for love.... and I remember Carol told him to "squeeze that olive" at a point he was flatting a bit. SO funny!
Yawn. Carol Burnett was the first woman to host a variety television show. She WAS the diversity in this industry in her day. And before her, Joan Rivers and Nat King Cole were blazing similar trails. You don’t get to pick and choose what forms of diversity you like and what you don’t.
@@ryanwagner7980 WRONG....left wing loonies might think I don't get to choose..hate to tell you sugar...I DO! You can fight it , stamp your feet and play victim all you want.
Wish we still had Carol on tv, there will never be another one like her!
We need more shining stars like her. She was always so sweet in her interviews and her Q and A's. I love this woman's spirit!
Indubitably ☺️
I'm old enough to have watched her show every week when it originally ran. This kind of television is sorely missed.
We used to watch it as a family. Great television
I love these intros. Her fashions are TO DIE FOR.
Bob Makie designs for Carol Burnett
we love you miss hannigan
This...
:) loved how Carol talked to that little girl. Wouldn't be surprised if that was some famous actress who went on to go into Broadway or something!
Love this Woman more than words can Express! Carol is the Greatest!
Indubitably ☺️
She was such a good sport with singing all of the autographs for the girl. It could have been awkward, and she made it funny and sweet.
THIS WAS GREAT TELEVISION!!!
Don't make them like they use to.
Thanks for sharing. I was born in '84, so this was my first time seeing these. So great!
My dad and i watched the show after dinner. He laughed his butt off. Miss ya dad
I just love her and I loved her show. Thank goodness we have these shows to look back on.
Does anyone else think actress Allison Janney looks a lot like Carol?
Yes to Burt. (heavy sigh)

She is really pretty! I grew up watching her and loved her.

I was so surprised when Burt Reynolds came out of no where. He was HOT!
We need to go back to these times

Is the young girl in the audience Kim Richards?
Burt Reynolds looks like Stifler from American Pie
Back before Hollywood went completely bonkers.
She was huge. Catch her interview with Dick Cavett.
That little girl? Kim Basinger.
7:04 I mean
what year? looks to be '72
+summerholliday44 1:35 would be a clue ;)
Before 'diversity is our strength'. Bring back the good old days of great women like this. Peace, fun, harmony. Not identity politics.
