I wet a bandana at every water crossing in hot weather and tie loosely around my neck…instant air conditioning for the head. Because it’s cotton it doesn’t dry as fast as synthetic material. I also carry a gossamer gear 1/8” sleep pad…can be used as a sit pad, doormat, midday napping pad, under wet items in your tent, under your backpack to keep it from sitting on wet ground, under your inflatable sleep pad to prevent it sliding around your tent floor (and it gives you a smidge more insulation from ground and protects your inflatable from punctures.)
