Won Belmont on the inside - Travers on the outside. I really like this horse. Very solid. I hope they race him at 4 but not holding my breath.

If you have watched the whole card today, then you must have seen New York Thunder go down in nearly the same spot that Mel did. Under very similar circumstances. I would be doing all kinds of tests on that part of the track.
Sorry, I just absorbed what you said. No you wouldn't have seen it, but he broke down maybe twenty yards before she did, on the inside close to the rail and leading by several lengths, went head over heels, broke an ankle, (sesamoid)? and was humanely destroyed.
He was the second horse today, the first was in an earlier race. Also euthanized.

@@Makado14The only race they ran with the track sealed. Plus he seemed to break down in almost the same spot on the track! Not like the rain was unexpected, been watching the weather all week, why I decided to pass on the Travers, and my horse scratched in the sword dancer..So I feel like I made money..

Incorrect.
The best ride and racing luck wins most of the time. The other times are fixed/ cheats. The last triple crowns were from Baffert Barn. We all know what happen to Baffert. Sad truth.

@@michaeladams2077 You really still insist that when Justify is an actual picture of a horse. I just think he would smash these current horses as he had a high cruising speed.
Have you considered maybe Justify just had an easier opposition really? Seems a tough crowd at the moment. No easy race.
Justify would have beat these easily. Baffert, despite controversies, is still a great trainer.

Son of Arrogate,he has alittle of Arrogate in him the way he isn't tired an gets strong at the end of a race.
Well the owner doesnt over race him like fortes owner does.
I remember this horse beating Frankie Dettori’s ride Henry Q, but I ain’t surprised that horse beaten Forte again.
Congratulations to Arcangelo and his Trainer and others on her team! This is huge. I think that Arcangelo will continue to get better. I was totally surprised that National Treasure wasn't in front out of the gate. Bob, you have to get new and undetectable dope. Same with Pletcher and poor Forte. Tapit Trice ran a decent race. This colt will definitely get better as he gets older, this was probably his best race but wait until he is a four year old. He needs time to get it all together. Scotland ran his heart out, but appears to want a mile at most. Disarmed tried too but I think is outclassed. I think that the best (sound) horse won. Forte 1) is unsound. 2) is unsound. He is a much better horse when sound. Please retire him. Hasn't he done enough, 😢made enough, and been tough enough for his connections?

I agree that forte has been overworked and in need of a long rest. I wrote this on todds twitter account as well as other places. Thanks for expressing the sentiment that needs to be screamed from the rooftops, leave forte alone!

Forte was limping, crossed his front legs and limped, coming out of the shadows after saddling. The Fox csmera is facing his chest. I didn't know who Forte was yet. I quit watching races, but had resumed watchibg them. Later, I saw Forte stumble, dragging himself dispiritely in a trot, in a workout before the Travers. By then I knew who Forte was. Sad.
@@gretafields4706 I agree, poor Forte, the horse, has been used like a piece of trash by his owner .He decides what Forte does,not Pletcher. But I don't agree with Pletcher doping him either. He has been caught, it just wasn't trumpeted in the headlines like Baffert.I hope Forte makes it out alive. God bless the beasts and the children.

Just like I said , someone commented that Forte was the class of this field . My comment was that now your going to find out why Saratoga is called “The Graveyard of Champions” because favorites don’t do very well . I also stated that Arcangelo had won his last three races and along with Javier should win the race .
Arcangelo was the best horse coming into the race and not even the Graveyard of Champions could beat him.

I said that Forte, going to win, but I was mistaken!! Arcangelo, was the best horse, today!! Disarm, rallied for 2nd, which is good!! Tapit Trice, came 3rd, which is even better!! He had some tough races!! Forte, was not disappointing, for me!! He did his best, Even, with the bad, pole position!! The biggest, mistake, that was made was Flavian Prat, on The Kentucky Derby winner, Mage!! They should have NEVER!! Put him on that horse, he didn't like him, that's why he wasn't a factor!! Horses, Like people, know the difference, when you can respond to someone!! Congrats to all the winning connections!!
What a ignorant statement about Prat, Mage was rank the whole way! Not jockeys fault

@@leeaccardy2023 yeah you can't fault Flavian for that. Mage's chance at winning this race went down the drain as soon as Saez got hurt. Can't expect a jockey who has never worked on this horse to know how to race him.
You can blame a jockey when they lose by a couple lengths , but today wasn't the day for mage ... didn't matter who was on him

😂That's quite a conundrum! He seems to run well after 2 months off, but I believe it's 10 weeks to the Breeders Cup..

@@alioucisse1548 I meant to say 12 weeks, which maybe a little to long. I believe the cup is Nov. 6. Last year's winner, Flightline used the Pacific Classic as his prep, but his workouts were legendary, and of course he also walked on water!.. ♥️🙏👉🇺🇸

Irad is a brilliant jock but this ride stinks. Pushed out to grab a good position from b1 , gifted arcangelo the rails at the first turn, proceeded to drop back to last (after burning energy at the start to keep the rails ) then goes 5 wide for home. DISGUSTING.

how could you not love this. it proves that you do not need a million dollars horse to win the big one. ebbert buys arcangelo as a yearling for $35,000. he is only 14 months old. by the grace of god ebbert meets antanucci by accident just 24 hours before the purchase at the yearling sale. he calls her after the purchase and asks her if she wants to be the trainer for arcangelo. the marriage is born. arcangelo the son of the great arrogate who has left earth way too soon and grandson of the strong tapit has now won 4 in a row. arcangelo is one very tough horse. he must be thinking well all i have to do is run faster than my buddies and i get extra affection from my humans and bonus peppermints. what a day for everyone involved with arcangelo.
