Bro. Too true. I randomly stumbled upon this show in Fall of '13...it was the puppet hot air balloon episode from Season 4. I was intrigued. And started checking to see when epidosdes would air. Imagine my surprise when i found out that was considered the "worst" season. I must have introduced at least 20 people to this show. Those were good times.

Rewatching it, it's really not that bad. I think it becomes a parody of itself at times, and it's definitely not as good as S1-S3... But it tried and had some great moments.
@@kylewilliams8028 yeah it's definitely the worst season in the series but it still has memorable moments, they're just few and far between.
@@Slackow I actually think S5 is the worst. Had a great start, but fell apart as soon as Troy left. I don't think they knew how to rebound from his departure yet
@@kylewilliams8028 you know I kinda felt like that on my first watch, but when I rewatched I enjoyed seasons 5 and 6 a lot more than I did before. Probably because I actually anticipated the characters leaving. I feel like the writing is better in those seasons especially after you finish season 4. Season 5 did have a massive tone shift though, because season 4 was very happy, and the finale ended on such a high note, then season 5 almost felt depressing, but other than that I think it's a very strong season.
Idk why everyone hates this season. In my opinion 5 and 6 are worse (at least some episodes)

Have y'all ever noticed that Annie holds up the Welcome Archie banner in this ep even though the episode with Archie comes after this one? It's always bothered me but not enough to actually find out why.
His arrival was probably planned weeks ahead.
Pretending to be Kevin is how Chang was able to become such a successful actor.
I don't care what people say, I loved this storyline because it had a lot of potential. It reminded me of S1 when everyone turned against Jeff, except in this storyline its played out more than just one episode. I just wish this storyline had more to it and went on longer. We could have seen Chang becoming close with the group, especially Jeff and having a lot more scenes with them and Jeff's and Chang's dynamic is the most interesting so I would have liked to have seen more scenes with just the two of them.
Then Chang helps City College to take them down. I get that was the idea, but it never actually went anywhere at all. It would have been a lot better if that story had actually gone somewhere and there was an actual threat to the school and the study group's friendship[since Spreck wanted to take down the school and Chang wanted revenge on the study group], but then Chang realizes his mistake teaming up with Spreck and changes his mind and there is another City College vs Greendale episode. It could have been awesome if done right, but it wasn't. This storyline was rushed. It was still good while it lasted though and I loved the concept of it.
