  • Ave Maria! Join Fr. Philomeno for a beautiful guided meditation on the moment when Jesus met Mary on the way to Calvary. The gaze they shared was animated by the greatest love and suffering in human history. May this meditation draw us ever more closely to the wounded Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the Redeemer and the Co-Redemptrix. We encourage you all to meditate for at least 15 minutes each day.

Father, thank you for helping me focus on the Shoulder wound. The pain of carrying the cross on his damaged right shoulder. Then to have his executioners dislocate his right shoulder as they stretched his arm on the cross. Then to know Mother Mary watch every second of her son’s pain. How Jesus suffered the most mental pain watching his Mother suffer so greatly. To think that Jesus and Mary did all this suffering and sacrifice for us so that we could be redeemed. Thank you Jesus and Mary! We will continue to fight evil as we try to live a holy life and to give honor to Your Sacrifice so that we can join you in Heaven someday soon, but not too soon. Feel proud for what you are doing father:
Pope Benedict XIV, grants an indulgence of seven years and seven times forty days, every time, to all those who, in a church or elsewhere, either in public or in private, shall teach the manner in making mental prayer, as well as to those who attend such instruction, provided that each time, being truly penitent, they confess their sins and receive Holy Communion. To those who shall teach assiduously the way to make mental prayer, as well as to those who shall, with the same assiduity, learn how to make it, the same Pope grants a penary indulgence once a month, on any day, when, being truly penitent, after confession and Communion, they shall pray for the peace and union among Christian princes, for the extirpation of heresy, and for the triumpgh of the Church. These indulgences are applicable to the souls in Purgatory.

Ave Maria! Father said that the lance was wedged underneath the armpit below Our Lord's right shoulder in order to raise Him up on the Cross. God bless you.
