He didn't say stop stand up fights, he said stop STAND UPS by the ref. Meaning you are on the ground with a guy on top of you and they stop the fight and let you get back to your feet, then reset. Yall are so slow

This goes on Joe's "stupidest takes". Dagestani's would literally ride to decisions all the time. Stand ups should be limited and somewhat uncommon but that should always be an option for the ref because the sport would literally go through about 2 years of painful wet blanket decisions AT LEAST 2 years.

Joe must have hated pride fc, they would stand your ass back up quick if you tried to stall

I disagree, things evolve and revolve. Most fighters want to knock you out or choke you out. If you are good enough to hold on to one of those guys for 15 minutes you are good enough to get up.

@@bryanpinto4051 I don't feel like watching guys refusing to fight and just laying and praying in stall positions. That's how sports dies when the action is delayed. The sport would be unwatchable for years.

Hell no I disagree with Joe you can’t tell the audience to deal with it they will leave not buy ppvs won’t sell and fighters will get payed even less at the end of the day the reason guys are doing it is for business

Do you have CTE or is English your second language?pride went under because they were part ran by the yakuza and it was found out and they lost all endorsements and tv deals or pride would be the biggest promotion no question and it was based in Japan that shows you how big pride fighting was there are some good wrestlers out there but boring as hell to watch and no one likes them that’s all

I 100% agree, it should be a FIGHT not a lets get on the floor and roll for show and then stand up and reset. The sport is the sport if people just want combative violence there’s boxing and other options. The product (ufc) should come with the terms of rolling and fighting
