I knew Jamahal was good, but that was hands down his best performance to date. Not just on the feet, but was able to defend Glover’s takedowns very well and scramble from the ground as well. Congrats to the new Champ.
Man's has put in 13 years of jiu jitsu at gracies and showed he's capable of defending TDs or when being on the ground!

@CandyGrooves ,let's be honest here! There are very few crowds in the U.S. where a majority of the crowd would attack the non-hometown opponent physically. Crowds booing or yelling profanities at the fighters that they don't like is one thing, but to physically attack fighters that they don't like is something else.

@CandyGrooves The US can def have rough crowds (looking at Philly), but almost EVERY single UFC event in Brazil has had an awful, awful crowd (and no, I don't think this speaks to Brazil as a whole). If this was in Vegas you know damn well the crowd would have stayed to give Glover the respect he deserves.
That grappling exchange at 00:47 made me tear up although moreno was clearly winning, that sequence was amazing. Glad Izzy had the same reaction lol

That main event had me in tears. So much respect for both.
So impressed with Hills take down & ground defense. Stuffing take downs early when both fresh. Also when Hill was in guard & stopped Glover from mounting & was not in any danger of being submitted. Very strong performance. There was no better test of Jamahal Sweet Dreams Hill
Gonna enjoy watching this later, just gotta say, I'm so happy for Sweet Dreams Jamahal Hill. You can tell this victory meant alot to him. I thought he was great leading up to this fight but didn't expect him to become champ in 2023! 🏆💪
The whole after fight had me in my feels. Idk why but all that feeling is some of the most genuinely unfiltered beautiful things in human society. In all sports you feel it but in combat sports I just get there’s an even different level cuz EVERYTHING has been on you and your shoulders alone

Hill's victory made me cry. What a shame that the seats were empty. Dana should really care enough about his fighters to not take the fights to Brazil again. It's not like one or two people, the whole crowd walked out on a man that deserves their respect.

I love Moreno's fighting stance..was a little worried when I noticed he adopted a different stance in this fight, but once I realized it was to avoid taking damaging calf kicks & be better grounded to deliver that leaping left hook I knew it was over. I just love that kid, man!

Glover is a world class jiu-jitsu practitioner and Hill handled him quite well. He looked very comfortable in all situations. That's a very scary thought. He still looks very green in his striking though, but the potential is definitely there.
What are you talking about. Glover has some of the best boxing in the LHW division and Hill starched him on the feet.
@Taylor Ballard when guys like adesanya or Pereira shows up or Anthony Smith or Jiri those guys are true strikers. Hill isn't a specialist like they are.

4:38 I was thinking this the entire time. Izzy gets wobbled and he stops it almost immediately. Glover gets brutalized for 3 rounds and they just let it go and give him every opportunity to get back into it.
He isn't even wobbled and his hands are up unlike Izzy where his hands are down and he was wobbled as hell

It was as if Goddard had money on Pereira and stopped it the first chance he possibly could, and had money on Glover this time and gave him every opportunity to pull out a miracle.
No consistency in his officiating. He let it go with the Izzy/Gastelum fight too as if he had money on it.
