Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming Indian epic science fiction action film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Produced by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, it was shot primarily in Telugu with some scenes reshot in Hindi. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world, in the year 2898 AD. It is the first motion picture instalment of the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe. The film stars Prabhas in the titular role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.

bro thats the thing sanddep is obviously a better director than nag but for screenplay in first half was good second half was weird. editng was great in animal but second half writing was weak feels like an incomplete film. in animal direction, cinematography, editing, acting all these were brilliant, writing and screenplay were very weak.

About Nag Ashwin, and his movies, he is good creative director, and we need to appreciate for his visionary thoughts, but he should not talk about how others made films, he can talk about how he made movies - If I ask general question to Nag Ashwin - Can he make a single shot like animal father & son relationship or Arjun Reddy - angry young guy emotions. answer is he cannot. so, bottmline, manadi manaki manchiga anipistdi ante gani inkokdi gelukoddu.. Both are gems in of their fields.

Shankar always made films on the right side, though there’s vigilantism. Leaving one or two films aside, Still they are interesting with repeat value. However Nag Ashwin films are not that gripping. Mahanati was not completely written by him whereas Kalki is. Kalki tried to preach a lot of nonsense like portraying Karna as a better warrior than Arjuna, which is not fact. That too with false scenes like Krishna elevating Karna over Arjuna which never existed in Mahabharata. Sandeep is a great filmmaker. Animal talks exclusively about hero’s mad love towards his father in which he loses his wisdom and breaks his family. In my perspective there’s No glorification of negativity. For me Sandeep never sounded offensive. He always defended himself. He screwed people who questioned his morality by making allegations not the ones who criticised the craft. In my opinion he can take a sensible and constructive criticism.
