One of the greatest and extremely talented musicians and song writers who never got the top credit due them, i will be listening to and turning future generations to what real talent is till i'm 100.
Been a massive fan since Argus. These guys still cut it to the limit live. The best and most distinctive guitar band ever, no question. As soon as you hear a Wishbone Ash guitar you know who it is.
Lovely band. Memories. I saw them in India when Sir Richie Havens opened for them in the mid 80's .........by the Arabian Sea at St Andrews school ground., Bandra, Bombay. Perfumed smoke rings fill the air.
got to be a warrior, a slave I could not be. a soldier and a conqueror, fighting to be free. Conquerors are not fighting to be free, they are fighting to take other people's freedom. My one quibble with what is a great song.
- WAY OF THE WARRIOR - I see through different eyes I see a bigger picture when others see grey skies Though many can't conceive it, i stand facing the wind. My bravery is not from fighting, but from strength within. I am a Warrior. I walk the extra mile, not because I have to, but because its worth while. I know I am different, when I'm standing on a crowded street. I know fullness of winning; I've tasted the cup of defeat. I am a Warrior. They say I walk with ease. Though trained for bodily harm, my intentions are for PEACE and FREEDOM. The world may come and go, but a different path I'll choose. A path i will not stray from, no matter. We may not always win, but we never lose (Author Unknown)
Awesome! The Eagles took inspiration from this song for Hotel California when they heard this song while recording that album. Yet 'Warrior" as original is far superior.
Nils Den Tex : The Eagles were support band for Jethro Tull and lifted the ‘ inspiration ‘ for Hotel California from ‘ We Used To Know ‘ from Tull, well known fact
As good as some of this is, it really lax a punch during the chorus's. Martin had that down way better. The chorus should be sung with great emphasis and ditto on the music. You just can't sing, "fighting to be free", in a monotone-ish voice. Plus dynamics makes for a more interesting sound for the audience.
I have still got the Album " Argus " bought it when released ...and I´ll shall keep it till the day I die. I am 73 ❤
Cool Jens! Respect!
great i was fan from the 70th.....now i am 62.....still great....

Always good to hear the great British rock
First saw them at outdoor Concert in Charlotte NC 1973. Great times. Allman brothers headlined the show. It was a all day Concert with other artists.
i have been listening to and loving wishbone ash since the civil war... this is the best line up ever.
Original line up best , although they have matured well.
Love Wishbone Ash!

Wishbone Ash = Eternal Pleasure
Lovely band. Memories. I saw them in India when Sir Richie Havens opened for them in the mid 80's .........by the Arabian Sea at St Andrews school ground., Bandra, Bombay.
Perfumed smoke rings fill the air.
Didn't they play once more, at the Xavier's ground?
If this isn't one of the sweetest songs in all of rock, there's something wrong with my ears.
So Good Wow digger WA 🤘🤘🤘
got to be a warrior,

Their guitars always sound GREAT!!!
In grateful memory of Warriors of NXIX..

Omit the definite article in the video's title. The track is called 'Warrior'.
As we mourn the violence in Nice, this came to my mind. "tomorrow the plough becomes the sword, make us stronger in our danger"
Great plan. Be like America and make more terrorists.
You are an idiot Peas, they are not being made here, they are flocking here from elsewhere, but that will be ending soon.
Throw down the sword, the fight is done and over, neither lost, neither won. That's the lyric that should come to everyone's mind in times like these.
Very nice, actually beautiful. Good to see a Finn over there in the line up after Ben. Bravo, Muddy! :-)
Let's hear it for the Finn. Muddy kicks ass!
Sitähän miekii kattoin että Mannisen poika se siellä komppailoo.
Pitty he's gone, I miss his playing. A very nice dude BTW, I had a chance to speak with and this was great experience.
Argus... killer album!
This song is so topical and relevant right now with what is happening
One of my favourite bands. i have seen them in concert. Wonderful. Thanks for posting this. Wonderful
Court moment de plaisir, pardon...les meilleurs après les Rolling Stone
Really in the subtle feeling of "what Is " ...no past , but just spirit of the Righteous ...
This was hurried and abridged and could've been a lot better
the plough becomes the sword.. pink floyd would of wanted this one
'would have' not 'would of'
thay still rock
Very good, but see and hear Martin Turner's WA version for something else.
Do you just go around to all wishbone ash live vids an make this comment? This is like the third video I've seen where you've made this comment.
😅
forget the ash
shit not without laurie wisefield...........thers no wishbone
So the first four albums with Ted Turner were not by Wishbone Ash?
As good as some of this is, it really lax a punch during the chorus's. Martin had that down way better. The chorus should be sung with great emphasis and ditto on the music. You just can't sing, "fighting to be free", in a monotone-ish voice. Plus dynamics makes for a more interesting sound for the audience.
This is NOT Wishbone Ash. Period.
Correct ! Its the Andy Powell band
