If you film someone acting the part of a swimmer in a swimming pool they are still going to be wet.

No matter how Ron try to act tough and hateful towards the government, he always finds himself losing to Leslie.
This is what the author trying to say I think, love always wins.
As long as the other person deserves that love, otherwise you just end up wasting time and getting hurt.
its unfortunate that the show portrays this - ron, despite being a comedy character actually has better ideals than leslie, and he is more ideologically consistent

I wouldnt say he is more ideologically consistent than Leslie. She loves government and will only bend the rules to expedite what she wants done for in her opinion the best for the people. Ron can bend his whole ideologies to help leslie and people around him aka helping save the local government. Also while preaching about libertarianism and private corportation the fact is he worked most of his life for the government, contradictinh everything he says he stand for
Leslie is the worst character on the show.
I like how physical fitness is blank because Ron’s definitely of exercise is woodworking and lovemaking. Since we was showing children I like to think he probably wanted to keep it kid friendly; class act.
