It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. Yes they do. The thing threw him off is the use of the word "Lack of", instead of "Not wearing" pants.
Shakira has a very close relationship with her band, they've been together for years, always with her on her tours. If you continue to watch her live performance you'll notice they have great stage pressence, just like her. Nice reactions.
The way shakira writes and the metafores and of all is a pretty common way the songwriters do the songs in most of Spanish songs.

When you said, "blind, deaf, and dumb" I cracked up so hard. She does say something like "stupid" or "dumb" in the chorus but the title of the song translates to "blind, deaf, and mute."

She does write songs now about successful love. I’ve seen past interviews where she’s said her songs are exaggerated or based off her friends relationship complaints. A song called 23 is a song she wrote for her current love. I don’t care much for it.
Awesome Shakira reaction! All the performances from this tour "Live and off the record" are absolutely amazing! She even covers an ACDC's rock song, Back in Black. Shakira's influences come more from the rock genre. When was growing up she liked bands like led Zeppelin, Metalica, etc... She actually made a tribute to Aerosmith in the early 2000's with the song "Dude looks like a lady". If you check her songs "Costume makes the clown" "Si te vas" "Poem to a horse" "Inevitable" among others you will find those influences there. She is also very eclectic and does not marry to any genre in particular, she loves to explore and mix different cultures within her music. Her lyrics are definitely in a big percentage from her own life experiences, she writes, arranges and produces all her songs, she also likes to write from people realities and experiences as well, she has profound songs as well as more commercial ones. Her latest album "El Dorado" reflects how much in love she is with her husband Gerard Pique, most of the songs are dedicated to him. They have two sons and are very much in love. On the "rap" section if you read the literal translation it does says "nest", however the phrase is a slang to say that "her head turned into a mess"

I would leave my boyfriend for one person and one person only, and that is Shakira. Has a master's degree, speaks 8 languages fluently, plays every instrument, dances every dance, writes amazing songs and just sings like no other person. She may be the most perfect person in the entire world, honestly.

She started out as a rock chick in Colombia as a teenager and wrote one of her big hits when she was 17 called Antologia, a sweet song remembering one of her first loves at 15. This is my favorie song ever. The way I interpreted (and I say I because diffferent people can understant different things depending on their background). She sees herselve as brute, blind, deaf, mute becuase she is so in LOVE that she just can't thing straight anymore. She’s not married, she’s doesn’t want to be seen as “the wife”. But since she’s together with the father of her children she has written many happy songs. And she also been in troubled relationships.
