Interview with Air at the French Institute (Trip to the Moon)

Culturethèque met French duo AIR during their voyage to the Institut Français on 12th December 2011. AIR consists of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, who come from architectural and mathematical backgrounds respectively. Their music contains synthesizer sounds with floaty vocals; the perfect soundtrack for a lazy day.
This interview celebrates the exclusive screening of Georges Méliès' 'A Trip to the Moon', restored colour version, for which they composed the soundtrack. AIR composed a brand new sound track to the silent film with an exciting concoction of musicians and singers.
