- Aqua Teen Hunger Force! One of my favorite shows in the early 2000s. It's about a trio of fast-food items that work together to solve mysteries in an edgy adult cartoon. The brains of the group is Frylock, a floating box of fries, but Master Shake does a lot of the talking, most of it aimed at making life miserable for Meatwad, a sweet-natured ball of meat. Recurring characters include neighbor Carl, supercilious Mooninites (lunar creatures) Ignigknot and Err, and mad scientists Dr. Weird and Steve. Enjoy this Cinemassacre review!

Came here to say this. He is probably the most consistently funny character in any form of media I have ever seen. "It don't matter. None of this matters" is like a thesis statement for his character and the entire show.

I was a senior in High School when the movie came out, and no joke, my girlfriend of 3 years dumped me for going to see it. She had seen the show before and straight up told me that after graduation she didnt want to date a child anymore.
Still..... It was worth it.

Me and my friend were only ones that watched adultswim. He went to my old school and at the new school there was only one kid there that watched once it started hitting its peak later on. Cinemassacre and that show also shaped my sense of humor.
I remember when the movie was about to come out, Adult Swim made this big deal saying they were going to air it on tv. And they did, but like 2-3 seconds after it started the sound cuts out and the show shrunk down into the bottom right corner of the screen and was so small you couldn't really make out what was going on. They showed the normal AS lineup as scheduled but they did indeed show the whole film, albeit too small to see and with no sound.
I saw it that night too. thanks for reminding me!
They were so snarky with the line in that bumper after they shrunk it before continuing with the movie i sat there and watched all of the Egypt segment up until they went to Lincoln’s before i gave up and watched something else the movie was well worth getting its just one extra long episode

ATHF has some of the best dialogue of any animated series ever. Its like classic Simpsons, you can constantly rewatch clips from it and enjoy it over and over....so is written in the holy Bibble.

This show and Sealab were the goddamn best thing ever when they came out. And this was in a world where South Park already existed.

Early Adult Swim is fantastic, very few of the shows were bad.

But South Park had not reached its prime yet. You must remember that South Park took some time to actually find its greatness. Still this show is so unique that it can exist in a world where South Park is still the best animated show ever made just because of its unique style

Carl isn't just the most realistic on the show, he's one of the most realistic characters ever. Everybody knows someone EXACTLY like him, right down to the shitty bro car and everything.
The "Wisdom Cube" episode in particular is even more hilarious in this day and age; it articulated brilliantly how boomers with obnoxious bumper stickers on their car and/or Facebook wall think they're clever. When Jon Schnepp tragically passed away, we didn't just lose the director of Metalocalypse
Hearing James breakdown the plot of these shows is crazy. When i was younger i never rationalized what was happening. I just went with the craziness. This is great to hear lol
