Great video. Great quality
I didn't know this tank have been updated.....catching up now.
Can't wait to see part 2 and etc. Glad I waited. lol
Can’t wait for next step.👍🏻👏🏻
Me neither!!!
super excited sir
Exciting 😁
Can't Wait MJ!!!
Great video! Practical question, what do you do with the substrate and gravel since you live in an apartment?
sick hardscape!
I'm loving already this new series and thanks a lot for showing us all the process, even the disassembly. That beautiful centurion wood looks like a vine (in case that you are specially interested in knowing what type of wood is that). Congrats from Valencia, Spain
Excellent
Good Luck ✌️
Thanks ✌
Looks super exciting! A rescape can be a pain, but is generally worth it. Very keen to see how it turns out
Super excited to see the progress with this one!
The way your cat looked away like..”I didnt make this mess”
I like it high towards the shelf like you have it.
Sick haircut. Loved this scape though man.
Mooie bakken heb je en steeds een prima uitleg. Ik heb zelf een kubusbak van 70x70x70 cm.
im so excited for this scape,it does suck when you take it down, you feel regretful but it is so rewarding
I am very excited!! nice!
I definitely can't wait to see the end result I'm super excited. And maybe the other side away from the shelf? Either way I'm jealous!!!!
That's what my gf said as well, so I guess it's going to the other side 😁
tanks
That's going to be a awesome rebuild!! Can't wait to see the final product!!
Congratulations, how many cm is the aquarium tall?
So excited for this! Personally, I’m curious to see how the wood would look with the other end placed on the floor of the tank instead. However you decide I’m looking forward to seeing how this one will turn out!
Love your content btw keep up the good work and I hope you are well.
Edit: I was already subscribed I guess I didn’t realize it lol
I will give that a try as well!
Seeing the hardscape items you received, I can’t wait to see the layouts you play around with and what you finally decide! Definitely take your time on this, it’s so much more rewarding that way.
Let's see if I can make it anywhere near as good as your shallow 😎
Excited for this one
Love it so far!
Hi MJ - could please the exact dimension of this great tank (including glass thickness)? I want to get one custom made. Thanks!
hey! it's 120cm long 50cm wide and 30cm tall. Glass thickness is 10mm (i think)
Theres nothing more exciting than a blank canvas.
Nice tank! Living in a apartment it is really a problem for the aquarists 😅
It really is!
what is the name of the light used in your scape
I like your wood
Looks like you need another towel and and cup as well 😄
Yes I do! 😂
OOOO how exciting I cant wait for part 2 :)
Can't wait to see what you'll build with this. That is a seriously impressive piece of wood. They did you a solid!
Crazy how quick that year seemed to go, looking forward to this series on the V2 👌🏼
Just mid rescape myself. Half the hardscape out, dreading pulling the plants and catching all the shrimp 🤦🏽♂️😅
Catching the shrimp is the worst 😰
Exciting, I can’t wait for the end result 😊
YES!!! Been waiting for this!!!! And we're going 'Above the Rim!!' Super Exciting! You inspired me to get my own 'Big Shallow', though mine is only 95 Liters, it's Huge for me (my other shallow is 11.35 Liters) Definitely have the log raise out of the water toward the shelf for symmetry.
Very nice sponsor you have mate. I'm super excited to see the layout.
I’m really looking forward to this build 🤩👍🌱
Can't wait for the new scape to come to life! I think the wood facing the right side of the wall is cool.
Can’t wait 😀😀
Hi, make it like bridge :)
Wow! Very interested to see what you do with such bold stuff. 👍
Cant wait for the update!
Keep up the good work mark💪💪
Always!
Nice new aquascape 👍🏻
I have this wood.
I wait for start my shop on Line...
I have 500kgs of that !
Looking forward to this build
mooie tank maat !
Can’t wait to see what you build next
looks sickkkk, I'm excited to see the next scape. Personally, I think the best composition is towards the front because its more striking to the eye and it creates a lot depth to have the big piece at the front and then smaller ones at the back as I'm sure you know bc ur a great aquascaper but yeah just giving my opinion :)
I'm not big into wood in a tank. But if you going to use it, turn it to the right.
Good luck with the new setup. 👍
Filter floss whilst draining the tank method - superb tip, thanks! :)
This series is going to be great! I'll be taking notes.
"Centurion Wood" lol it's wood from italian wine :D
That's a cool idea!
cant wait to see final result :)
You and me both!
Goede middag.
I have a difficulty To stop à scape
Remove thé stone. Wood.etc....😱
I would like To have for long time.
Ps: i product some plants
Out of the water: ludwigia super red.
R.h.ra.
Monte carlo.
Lobellia cardinalis...
I am small but i ll go for more big product...
Sorry for my bad english 🙄
I like your Channel.
I préfer To have many small tank..👌👍🏻
Haven't seen the whole video but hope you'll have emersed growth this time. Also regarding moving the fishes, when I rescape I move the fauna to another tank ahead of time, maybe a week or two before I actually take down the tank.
Can't wait to see it come together. I would consider if you put the wood so it goes out of the other side how likely are you to knock it or catch it as you walk by it? Toward the book case it might be more protected from accidents. Just a thought.
Looking forward to next episode
Ik denk zelf dat deze bak mislukt is vanwege de lage waterkolom. Co2 vervliegt dan heel snel, ook vanwege de stroming die ook nog eens flink aanwezig is.
That wood is stunning. I dread to think how much it cost, but i bet it will be worth every penny.
Wahoo, new scape for the shallow.
Hey there. Few quick questions. The rocks covered in BB algae.. Did you clean them and reuse them or is it beter not to reuse them? And let's say they are covered in Bb Algae but want to clean them up, can you do that outside the aquarium and if so, how to do it safely? And I never hear you talking about H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) in low dosage (syringe or spray bottle) whereas I've had some great results with this to kill of BB Algae. Why is that?
I basically placed the rocks outside in the sun, so the algae is all dried up and pretty much dead. With a little scrub they should be good to reuse again! If you want to take the rocks out and kill bba fast I would just place the rocks in a bucket with some bleach, and then scrub them clean.
I've used H202 in the past, and sometimes I still use it. It does work well, but I just prefer liquid carbon.
@@MJAquascaping So grateful for your answer. 🙏 If you don't mind my getting further into the matter? How do you determine if a rock cleaned with bleach is aquarium safe? Is a high pressure cleaner an option? To get into the crevasses? A friend of mine cleans his wood this way whenever he notices algae (rainwater though). But will this throw off the balance? Kill beneficial bacteria? In other words, how much of the balance depends on beneficial bacteria living on wood and rock?
This was my favourite project of yours
I subscribed around the time you set up the big shallow. My how time flies. One piece of advice for you and everyone reading, BBA does not like sunlight. Now that the rocks are out of the tank, put them outside in direct light for a couple days and it will all disappear. It would be a shame to lose such magnificent rocks/stones. Looking forward to the upcoming videos. My vote is no CO2, but do what makes you happy/satisfied. Take care.
Yeah I moved the rocks outside and the algae looks all purple now 😂
Awesome 👏🏻 I do remember that trip you made there . I would put the wood the other way to fill the empty space of the wall. With your expertise you will figure it out. Update on you nephews tank? Lol
Yep I think the other way is better indeed. Nephews tank is doing good! I was actually there last weekend, floating plants had completely covered the surface 😅 tank is algae free though!
Towards the tank rack 👍
Nice Work! Lookong forward to the next video :) The shelf with the nano tanks in the backround is great! where can I get this shelf?
Thanks! This is where I bought the shelf www.leenbakker.nl/kasten/wandkasten/wandmeubel-kyan-zwart-naturel-180x120x40-cm
For CO2 you could consider splitting the CO2 that comes from the bottle and use two diffusors inside the tank :)
Please add co2 though 😅👌
I like the wood on the left side of the tank. It could help hide the cord to the light...
I think the wood should hang out away from the shelf! Excited for V2
Don’t give up on co2! Maybe just try to come up with a more efficient way of getting it around the tank before it gasses off. Probably using 1 or 2 diffusers so the plants can intake via direct leaf-to-bubble contact?
Im glad WIO sponsored the hardscape. Great stuff… remember I joked with you about extra weight charges for rocks in your baggage when you came back from your previous visit. You are off to a great start. You sparked my interest when you said you may not use CO2. Hmmmmm…
Looking forward to updates. 🏄🏼♂️
Hahaha yeah I remember you saying that 😅 this was easier though!😎
Super excited to see what you come up with although It’s still sad to see the bag shallow being taken apart😢 what do you do with the substrate when you take a tank down?
That wood is epic
very nice
Looks like a nice project to come. In my opinion it should be to the shelf side ;) cheers
Now I want a shallow tank, damn
What kind of wood is this?
Centurion wood!
@@MJAquascaping Really cool looking wood! I like the texture and there are tons of characteristics in it. Looking forward to your new tank!!
Re-scaping is always exciting..
Have you considered making an entry into the IAPLC next year??
You could take a few weeks to plan and create some badass hardscape using smaller woods and stones to create a complete hardscape along with the centurion beauty!!
Hmm nah contests is not really my thing
Is there any chance to buy this wood in germany? It looks fantastic! Im excited how the hardscape will look when finished.
I'm not sure if WIO has any retailers in Germany
hello congratulations for the excellent quality videos, but answer me one thing, how do you siphon in the planted aquarium? if you do. thank you in advance for the answer.
Today was my birthday can anyone wish Love from Bangladesh
Happy birthday mate!
@@MJAquascaping thx a lot 😇😊
Has metido demasiados peces de una vez en los acuarios, puede que tengas un problema con las bacterias, ya que no están preparadas para esa cantidad de peces. Con ganas de ver el nuevo diseño! 👏
Your weight training came in useful in getting those heavy rocks out. I seem to be in the minority so far, but I like the wood where you placed it. I think if it is at the other end, it will leave a big void in the middle between the shelf unit and the wood.
You make a good point there! It will also give a nicer view from the couch.... hmm tough decisions...
First
Whoop!! 😎
You do beautiful work, and I learn a lot from you. Does fuzzy white fungus grow on your new wood too? How to deal with this white fungus? Please have the wood coming out of the right side of your tank. And the dual CO2 diffusor idea provided by other commenters is worth considering.
I'm going to submerge the wood this week to see what will happen with it. The white fungus on new wood will go away by itself, you can manually remove it or add some otocinclus they will eat it
Im enjoying your videos MJ, you're real natural on camera :) Where you from?? cheers
Happy to hear that Diogo! I'm from The Netherlands
It would be really cool to see lots of plants growing out of water
were do you buy the bookshelf that stands on the left from the big tank ?
Here www.leenbakker.nl/kasten/wandkasten/wandmeubel-kyan-zwart-naturel-180x120x40-cm
Let me scape it for you, you can plant it 😂🙏
my i know what light did you use and the dimension of the tank, thanks
The tank is 120cm long 50cm wide and 30cm tall and the light is the Skylight Hyperspot!
did u custom order that tank ? or where did you buy it :)
It's a standard tank! This is the 120F from WIO!
What filter do you have on your 45p
Currently the Dennerle scapers flow
De cuantos galones es esa pesera amigo? Saludos desde Chicago 🇺🇸 🙏
47.5 Gallons!
Wow you can just leave that piece of wood by itself. It is impressive.
WIO really do be a based company 💯👏
