    So.....I made This! It took me a couple of days due to sizing issues. I don't have the shape of your average woman so I had to cut a 20 even though I wear a 14. My waist is just wider than the rest of me. This tutorial was very helpful for each step but the hard part was sizing it to fit me. I love the end result but I doubt I'd make another just because I had to make so many changes.

    I need this pattern, and I really need to sew what I have already cut out!!!! I think there is a Joann sale, and I have a gift card! This looks like light weight twill, light weight denim would work REALLY well with this. I want to know what kind of machine she is using.... if you cut diagonally across the collar corners, it works out well, and using a pin to turn out....I am too set in my ways!

    Hi Mimi, love love love your clothing. I've looked on all of your sites for harem jumpsuits and can't find it. I would love to make one for myself but I have a change in mind for the shoulder being that I don't do spaghetti straps. Have I overlooked? I would prefer the one that gently wraps your ankles, with no gaps. Your help would be greatly appreciated. If you have already made a pattern for it is it possible that you can give me the number # to it. Thank you in advance.

    I'm having a problem with the collar. When I try to sew the neckband to the bodice, and I match up the notches and shoulder dots, there is way to much extra fabric on the bodice, No matter how hard I try to ease it in, i can't. (and yes ... I clipped the curves) I measured the length of the the neckband and the length of the neck opening and the difference is over 2". I double checked to make sure I cut out the same size neckband as I did for the rest of the pieces and I have been using the seam allowances that were instructed. I'm stuck at this point because of this. HELP!!!

    I don't know what the hell you all are talking about with this lady's instructions. The pattern is nice but her instruction are messy! If you are teaching someone you do not do short cuts you teach step by step. Her instructions and the written instructions are to different things. Thank God I can sew already so I was able to show my teenage student what to do with out this video the poor girl was in tears.

    • @missauda
      @missauda Před 6 lety

      redraveny2k I agree! The shortcuts are NOT helpful for beginners, especially when following the written instructions. The camera angle is also obstructing a lot of the work.

    • @mersiamartin1611
      @mersiamartin1611 Před 5 lety +3

      Kinda seems more of a reflection on you as an instructor, having your student rely on a video instead of teaching her how to read the pattern. This video isn’t meant to teach from start to finish, it’s meant to reinforce the pattern.

      redraveny2k angry are we Mimi is a great 👍 instructor I have been 🧵 for 64 years there is nothing wrong with her manner of teaching patience is all it takes and if you still don’t understand you can always sign up for her sewing instruction classes good luck and happy 😊 🧵

      @naughtybynature6213 Před 4 lety

      redraveny2k this video is basically for someone a little more advanced I think maybe that’s why you don’t get it I don’t believe in short cuts when teaching that can come later after a whole lot of experience
