Wait, I'm confused. It said any money raised, over the cost of the medical bills, will go to animal rescue. Then they told people to stop sending money because they have what they need for the medical bills. Why should people stop sending money, it's going to go to animal rescue, which I'm certain, would appreciate all the money they could get. 🤔🤷
R C This is a good family, it was probably part of a statement saying they've raised what they need, so as not to mislead people? While it's always great to donate, anyone who wants to always can, I assume, on their own.
They can put on their go fund me that the medical bill expense is covered but anyone wishing to still contribute can and the money will go to the shelter in honor of Haus.

@@asmr_gaming769 I looked it up and it was touch & go for awhile but he thankfully was able to go home after a week at the clinic. The clinic staff signed his cone of shame when they discharged him lol.

@@romystumpy1197 what about two lure bred Shepard that need a home. I was so pissed when one guy returned one of the two. Oh well more time with his momma and sibling. Others went on to be service dogs like their dad. These last two need a home.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again, rescue dogs are awesome! I have worked with many of them, mostly pit bulls, and they are the most grateful dogs there are! I have read so many stories of dogs being rescued from shelters only to turn around and save someone`s life! Good for Haus and good for the family that rescued him! Love from Vancouver BC!

I like to watch the "surprising someone with a dog" videos. Unfortunately, 95% of them seem to be puppies from breeders. I so wish that would change.

kelperdude I actually don’t like those videos, unless it’s a parent giving their child a dog. (As long as the parent resigns themselves to the fact that _if_ the child doesn’t take responsibility for the animal, they need to accept the responsibility, which sadly isn’t always the case.) Most people don’t know this, but from an animal rescuers pov, animals aren’t gifts. No reputable animal rescuer will *ever* adopt an animal out to someone who’s giving them as a gift. The person wanting the animal should be the one adopting them. Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment for that animal, and they should be the one choosing what animal they’re going to care for over a decade. The two busiest times of the year for shelters and animal rescuers is right before Christmas (people relinquishing their pets, typically senior pets) and right after the holidays when all of those people who received animals as gifts they didn’t want, get turned into shelters and rescues. Some may call me cynical, and I suppose to a certain extent, I am. However, that doesn’t change the facts. *PLEASE* don’t ever gift someone an animal. If you do want to gift someone an animal, purchase a gift certificate for the amount of the adoption fee, then let that person go pick the animal they want.
Btw, a lot of people don’t know this, but you can adopt almost any breed of dog, any age (even puppies), and any color from shelters or rescues, even purebred puppies. There are breed specific rescues all over the country (in the U.S. anyway). There are also volunteers who travel all over the U.S. taking people animals they’ve adopted from out-of-state rescues.
I rescued my personal dog, who’s a purebred Australian Cattle Dog, when she was 8 weeks old. I was on a FB group for Cattle Dogs on a Friday night at 10pm when I saw a post from a backyard breeder who said that if someone didn’t come get her by Monday morning he was going to “shoot her in the head”. And why, you ask? Because she was born with only one eye. That’s it. I had just lost Leila, my 14yo Cattle Dog a couple of months prior to seeing that post. Btw, the puppy was outside of Calhoun, Georgia; and I live right on the east coast of central Florida, which is 600 miles away from the Georgia / Tennessee border where the puppy was. Anyway, approximately 10 hours after seeing the post, I was in my car driving the 600 miles (each way)to go rescue the puppy. That puppy, whom I named Ari, is sitting right beside me as I type this. She just celebrated her 5th birthday on December 29 2019, and I couldn’t be happier. Fun fact, when I first rescued Ari I had another dog who I rescued several years prior (a Pomchi) who was _also_ born with only one eye, and it was the same eye as Ari’s. Sadly, Jack died this past year, so now I only have Ari.

I have a saved dog. He is a big dog, a boxer / Great Dane mix. I knew if I didn't get him they would put him down because no one wants the big dogs. He is a wonderful dog. Please if you want a dog, rescue one that desperately needs a forever home. And when you go to rescue one, please consider the ones least likely to be adopted, like the big dogs. They are the ones who are the true rescues and those relationships mean the most.
All of my adopted children are rescues. Buying and selling living beings is wrong.
This is why I love German Shepards so much. They will protect their family with their life

German shepherd's are so amazing. They have a built in instinct when it comes to their families. As do most dogs, but they tend to go above and beyond their call of duty. I hope Hoss is on the mend and will recover soon.

That's so crazy years ago in California mountains the neighbors dog a husky I think would come to play with our young daughter of course we would give him treats he took at least 7 bites from a rattle snake he was able to get treatment and survived he saved my child's life maybe ours but we had nick named him Hoss offered to buy him but his owner declined I don't blame him He was a hero will never forget what that dog did for us that day love you Bunches to all the beautiful animals That protects us

It is a reasonable charge. They do not get government or insurance reimbursements for all the things involved for intensive care, that is all the IV equipment, meds, blood transfusion, oxygen with monitoring equipment, round the clock pay for care providers, bandages, pads, urinary catheters, etc. . It does cost that much.
Kathy Brown there is no medical program for illegals, unless of course you are referring to the thousands of kids the government has taken from their parents and now we are paying the entire bill for their care, but this isn't something their parents were looking for. We taxpayers are footing the bills for white folks in the welfare belt, (southern and Midwest states) who would rather stay home, do drugs and collect welfare , Medicaid, and food stamps instead of finding a job. These are the folks we should be deporting, strip them of citizenship and push them out and keep the hard working immigrants.

My sheltie did the same thing to save my sister's life. Only it was a copperhead. We were only 4 & 5 years old. Misty herded my store away from a log & jumped between her & the snake just as it struck. Thank God she survived.
My German shepherd saved us from a guy who entered our backyard to snatch one or both of us. Took a chunk out if his ass in the process.

I too have an Alsatian dog his name is Major Ronald boond and his 3 years old and he's the absolute double of the dog in this video. They are the best protection dogs ever. Thank you very much to the dog for saving the little girls life she was very lucky indeed that the snake didn't bite her and as I doubt she'd be here today..I pray 🙏🙏that he makes a full recovery very soon .God bless him.xxx

I adopted a 10yr old heeler shepherd mix 3wks later a woman forced her way into my home and knocked me down. Before i could do anything that dog had attacked her and was trying to drag her outside. She is my heroine. Dogs are loyal and they remember when you save them from shelters. If you want a dog go to your local shelter its full of love and loyalty and it can be yours.

When my daughter was 1 year old I got her a German shepherd and trained him to protect her and her mom. Shes now 12 and hes 11 they are inseparable and I never doubt he would do his duty and lay it down for my girls. God bless the German shepherd!

I have two rescue dogs and they have enriched my life so much! For the small amount of money and effort it takes to take care of them is nothing compared to what we get back from them. Such an awesome dog and family in this video, so nice to see them say "stop sending money"! Beautiful dog and is so sad to think how many dogs like this have been put to sleep or stayed in little cages for years!

This story got to me. I adopted a beagle who was set to be euthanized and he did this also. My son & his friend were walking on our property and Lou ran in front of them so they couldn’t go forward and began barking at the rattlesnake. He got bit but survived. He was a very special boy. ❤️ our four legged family.

I started think of my dog Sandy. My two cousins decided go across pasture to jump on a trampoline. Unfortunately my mom caught them. Their mom came. She chewed them out. My dog Sandy started barking. My mom said Sandy. She stayed put. To Sandy she was protecting the little people. Sandy was a chow. My dog's dog took her and another beagle hunting-Suise. They were his girlfriends.
