You have to balance the hurdles for the scammers so they don't catch on too quickly and realise they're being played

I have seen many scam baiters work their magic before, but I have never seen one bait a scammer into wasting their time playing chess. And here I thought refund scammers were getting a bit too predictable lol

The sad part is, I think for one moment during the chess game, just one brief moment, the scammer was genuinely having fun and forgot about the scam. In that moment he showed he was still human. But then immediately snapped back to talk about the money. Just sad.
The thing is that most of these scammers are very desperate and impoverished, some may even be struggling to eat and feed their families. I'm less angry with the people doing the scamming than I am with the horrible roaches actually running the operations. Yes these aren't kind people. They're willing to threaten people's lives, deceive and steal which regardless of everything else is of course unacceptable. But you have to remember that they see us here in the first world as incredibly wealthy. They aren't going to feel quite as bad if they feel like we'll be okay no matter how much they can manage to take. Now we live here and see our own poverty of course. We know that just because someone lives here that doesn't mean they won't end up homeless or are living anywhere near comfortably. But they see a whole different level of poverty where they are. It's so important to keep that in mind. These people aren't excused for their behaviour, but it's definitely more understandable when we remember they're also being taken advantage of by those who're already taking most of the profits. So sad honestly. I hate greed and I hate the poverty that colonialism forced onto the world.

The issue with these people is that they tend to see us as rich assholes with money to spare which dampens empathy. However you believe this person is going to be more than fine without that money, while you're over here going hungry. Survival reflexes kick in and since you don't think it's really harmful to this person anyway, you overlook those values to put some food on the table. Buuuuut they're stealing from people who really can't afford to have that happen. Maybe they don't even realize the damage they're doing. I would also honestly be more forgiving if they weren't so fucking MEAN. That's what bothers me most. It's one thing to steal from someone, it's another to act like an abusive jerk while you do it.

I watch kitboga pretty regularly and I just realized my absolute favorite thing about him. How he takes control of the conversation. He has the scammers doing whatever he wants them to do with such a confidence. He is so talented at doing exactly this and should never do anything else..ever. I’ve watched other scambaiters and I can’t get into any of them. I don’t find them entertaining.Yet, I find myself watching kitboga over and over.
