    Your horse is clearly not happy with that bit that's in her mouth. Can't tell if it's a curb bit. If it is, switch to a French snaffle (three joints) if you can get it. It's much easier on the horse's mouth. Find someone who knows more than you to mentor you.

    I love horses. I haven't ridden in many years but always loved it. I never took any lessons; just trusted the horse.
    I do regret not taking lessons. I always found it fascinating how someone could have a horse respond to a squeeze or tap or ??
    Horses are arguably the most beautiful creatures.

    That horse is in pain. Shes unappy with her tack. Get a vet asap, check for pinching in tack, and take a step back and ask if you are the reason for this. Get a simple snaffle, and get rid of that bit you have currently. The tail swishing, stiffness, and headbobbing is an obvious sign of lameness. Notice how as soon as you got back on how she reacted? Please look more into this problem instead of using fear and punishment as "teaching".

      @@CTstouchhorsesdogsit’s people like you that is the reason we have bad behaviour in horses. Find some to help you that knows what they are doing and you will get a better ride.
