The mounting points at that cross tube above the bottom tube would hold a mount for a folding lock.
I can't wait for next year with this bike. A whole summer and fall only riding a bike around is my goal. I love my car but this is perfect for a smaller city.
Thanks, I just bought this exact color and am three days behind on picking it up from REI. I can't wait until the morning.
Can the rear rack hold a tiny human and the carrier?
Don’t know since I don’t have either but as long as the combined weight is less than 59lbs and there’s a way to properly secure the carrier then maybe. But also note there are no foot rests or guards to the rear wheel.
@@zjunlimited ok thanks
I can confirm that it's certified to hold a kid carrier seat.
Wish I could've gotten the blue one😯
Finally a video of this bike! Can you take a video of you riding it? It’s been so hard to gauge the size of this bike without photos or videos of a human on it.
Yes, will try to get some over the weekend.

Thank you!
How to cut the speed limiter?
I’m looking to register this bike, where is the serial number located?
I was so excite when I got my REI Co op eBike with that intense blue. They told me is was ok to store it half charged over the winter. Last month with it got up to 60degrees for a few days I plugged it is to get a full charge... haven't been able to turn it on since then. Battery is fully charged. The display will not turn on. Any ideas to help??
Probably best to contact REI. They have pretty good customer support and should be able to help. That said, we’ve had this bike idle for several weeks at a time without any issues with charge (both battery in and out) and the display has always turn on. Double check the battery is fully seated onto the bike.
HOW do you use lights!!!
Turn on the display, then hold the + button. Light will turn on. Hold the + button to turn off.
Do you like riding it? How tall are you? I have one on order (supposed to ship to my REI store two days ago, now they are saying not until Monday). I'm 6'1" and a little worried it will feel too small for me.
I’m 5’10” and my son (who this is for) is 5’1” at 11yo. I’ve only ridden it around the house but will spend more time with it and share thoughts. Initial impressions are that it fit me fine. But you are at the upper limit of the bike.
I'm 6" 1" as well as it was fine. I did about 6 miles today on all types of surfaces and was good.
@@SW4Life202 Good to know! 👍
What kind/brand of battery it comes with?
No brand on the battery itself but the charger and spec sheet says Bafang. 36V, 13Ah
Been looking for an ebike to do a long commute with one pretty punchy climb at the end, took one of these for a test ride and could only comfortably get up to 15-16 mph and had to really pedal quick to hit 20 do you have the same issue?
Yes, one of the more common setbacks with this bike. Changing the front ring and/or the rear cassette would help but not everyone may be up for that. If sustained 20+ is needed then this may not be the right bike for you.
@@zjunlimited I’m fine with swapping the chainring I’m not used to off brand ones so I don’t know how accessible that would be or how much it would cost. I know some are permanently fixed to the cranks do you know if this is the case?
@@adventuresincameronology2517 I just completed the upgrade recently. Check it out here: czcams.com/video/iQ9wFbFDOwo/video.html
@@adventuresincameronology2517 Easy swap and affordable. Chainring was only around $25 and crank replacement not needed.
Did you experience any drag when riding without any assist?
I didn’t try riding with the assist off. Lowest setting I used was on PAS 1 and didn’t notice any drag.
@@zjunlimited With my current ebike, when the battery dies, there is considerable drag. So much so that I don't take it on longer rides. Thank you for posting the videos. Very informative.
@@muppalaneninitin Interesting. This is my first ebike so I wasn’t aware. I’ll check it out and report back.
