Hell f*@#$in ya. That's what I'm talking about. Once you get this behemoth dialed in you'll have to do a full set up video. No one else is pushing a 790 like you yet. Hopefully this gets a ton of views so you can keep doing it
Thanks Adam. We are having a blast with nthe 790 so far and it keeps amazing us more and more.
No one? Have you ever heard of Chris Birch?
HardwareG33k birch has got serious skills
@@kozy41 hell yes, that series is awesome! Bought it already
I can smell the clutch in living room watching this
We didn't smell any all day. Not sure what you're smelling :)
That’s exactly how a wet clutch is designed to be used!
I know those trails, they are very hard even on a 500! Kudos to you for taking that beast through there. Braver than me! I am impressed how the 790 handles it, but I know that much of it is rider ability.
It really is a great bike. But, my 300 makes them so much easier :)
For every video of an adventure bike riding off road, 5 more bikes magically appear at starbucks
They have to start somewhere
Too true! I posted one good video on Instagram with my 790 Adventure R and two of my anesthesiologist friends had purchased ADV bikes within a couple weeks! Hahaha. They are going to eventually become decent riders with time and practice. It's great that more people are buying motorcycles. If new riders don't buy them then companies like KTM won't be able to keep making them. So cheers to the posers! Hahaha
Starbucks in the morning before a long day of riding sounds good to me. Piss/poo in the woods few hours later lol.
Nice ride.....Brings me back when I used to ride my XR600 from Hesperia up the backside to Big Bear via 3N14....I miss those rides...Living in the Midwest sucks for riding....Thanks for taking me along....
I've done that ride, it's a good time. Hopefully you find something good out there
Now that's off road riding. Very nice Video. Great riding skills! Thanks for sharing. Keep on riding and take care. I used to do some similar stuff on my former 990 Adv. It's hard work some times but it just has that special charm to do it on a big adv bike.
Im with you 100% on that. It is definitely different but has a whole different level of reward
Nice to see a guy who's not afraid to push the bike for what they are made for.
👍
Nice drone footage as well.
Thanks man. We definitely ride them in a types of terrain
Love these vids! You are refreshingly crazy using this bike on that ride , the KTM 790 designers are loving you! Since I'll never take my 790 R into stuff anywhere near this hard I'll enjoy the ride along knowing my bike could do it (but I can't!). Law of gravity hard at work against rear tire traction pushing all that mass uphill! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much. Ya, this tire was better than stock but a IRC M5B would be more tire of choice if I had more time to prepare.
Thanks for watching 😊
Awsome! "You can do this bike!" Haha, sure that rocky and steep terrain was tuff for "Bike". Very nice and liked the drone footage as well. Need to bring my Air at some ride too. Been to lazy so far. Great work!
Sometimes she just needs a little encouragement
So impressive seeing what you can conquer on that bike. Awesome video as always. Stay safe buddy.
Thanks Greg. Just out fir a Sunday cruise :)
Dang you are putting that 790 through the paces! Says a lot about your skills and the capabilities of the bike. It will be interesting to see how the 790 holds up to all the abuse!
It's definitely going to be fun to see what comes apart. They definitely aren't designed for this much abuse
I don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers because this is by far my favorite dirt bike channel on CZcams.
Glad you’re enjoy it man. I have no clue. I wish it would blow up but it’s just growing slowly day by day.
wacha talking about? this is exactly what these bikes are made for! :)
Great attitude 👍
Another great video Travis.....love the drone footage.
Thanks so much. Hoping this one takes off like the first 790 video did. I personally think this one is 10x better
Just wanted to makes some points. Your buddy's ride light 2stroke ,single cylinder bikes that make incredible power 2 weight gains, over years of development they are feather light.
Your bike is a newly developed electronic twin , adventure / Hard enduro type bike.
The terrain you ride and video you shoot , when reproduced on a small screen on youtube can look very flat and not so extreme.
Conclusion: Props to you ! to embrace a bigger bike , you have many advantages over the small bike & you make this very extreme enduro look easy. Thanks for the upload.
I have a 300 2T as well. I race Hard Enduro on it and absolutely love it. Just trying something different in my big bike as it's a lot of fun
Great ride, really shows what the 790 is capable of if you have the skill to take it there!!
Exactly. Its an amazing machine and I am happy to have one in the garage
What an awesome vid. I have been eyeing a 790 for a while now. You can tell it takes a talented and skilled rider to dance with the smallish chunky girl. My skills suck so may look at a 390 Adventure.
Great ride! Keep em coming!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Awesome video man!!!!! good job!!!!!
Thanks Much 🤘
Awesome, love the drone footage.
Thanks so much. It's been an awesome addition to our equipment
I got tired just watching you ride that beast up those gnarly trails! Awesome stuff man! Mad skillz!
It is definitely an ass kicker for sure. That big bike beats you down so much faster than the 300s do
Great video got a subscriber out of me! Some damn fine ridding and glad to see bikebandit is supplying KTM parts want to say a year ago they weren't. All the same great job thanks for the content!
They are making a big push to get more off-road customers. Some big changes are right around the corner
@@EverySingleSunday I have used them for my Honda needs for years never a negative experience. Glad to know they can help with my KTM needs as well!
Wow! incredible riding! Awesome skills 😀
Thanks. I appreciate it
Great video and some incredible riding!!! You all definitely helped in my decision to buy the 790S over the Africa Twin and I haven't a single regret. You've all even inspired me to start my own channel testing it out in the South Florida swamps. =D
That’s awesome. Glad you’re enjoying the bike and started a channel. Just post what you love doing and there will be people that will love it too
Great ride...you have really good skills. That f... ing hard on that heavy bike. 👌🤘
It definitely isn't easy. We are having a great time doing some new stuff on this awesome machine
Great riding, Travis! Beautiful trail! I love my 790 Adventure R so much! I'm impressed that you did that with the stock drive ratio. I geared mine down one tooth in front after I had owned it for 2 weeks. Stock is geared a bit too high for what I (and obviously you also) like to ride.
I've had the 15 tooth front sprocket for a while but wanted to get out and see how it performed in stock form first.
I'll be changing it around this weekend
@@EverySingleSunday you'll like that trail even better once you have switched it. Another really great mod that I love is the Camel ADV one finger clutch kit. That kit enabled me to cut my clutch lever short so I can have a better grip while clutching. Also if you are 6 feet tall or taller the 47mm handlebar riser is a godsend. Those are 3 of my favorite little mods so far. You are a great rider! Keep up the great videos!
The drone footage is incredible
Gnarly bad ass riding om the 790R. I'm shocked you didn't break your upper headlight mask mount. I did after 2k on mine and couldn't even think of riding Carls Jr on that bike. I'm too in-seamed challenged to even try something like that. Super bad ass man.
I have the Camel ADV neck brace on the bike. Has been solid
You should get commission from KTM....your videos on the 790 are true to test on what can be done. You convinced me on what can be done on it. Great job!
Thanks Scott. It would be awesome to start working with KTM and doing videos with THEIR BIKES
I want to try a ADV 390 when those come out
Awesome vids man
Thanks so much
I am really curious how long before the clutch goes :-D
Nice vid BTW
Been wondering the same. Everyone says it should have happened.... But so far it's solid 🤷🏻♂️
I have a Rekluse manual clucth ready to put in already. Just not sure if I should wait or do it now
Low revs and a wet clutch can take alot of "slipping" and not wear premature. Need proof get into trials ridding many years on one clutch no issues and always slipping the clutch.
That’s exactly how a wet clutch is designed to be used, I’m still on my oem clutch with my ktm after 5 years riding rocky technical enduro type trails constantly slipping it
Now all you need is some of the WP factory suspension. Heard they made it for the 790. I've got it on my 300 and 500 and its a game changer! Excellent vid as always!
I would love to, but can't justify the $$$$. Would have loved to get a Rally edition that comes with it but couldn't pass up the deal I got on this
U guys are awesome on those trails n bikes 😃🏍️ top 1 😀 north of England Uk
Thanks Anna
this was the best review ever, I'm waiting for my 790 r and I need to know if it works on trails.
this video helped a lot.
There's a few shops here in SoCal that have them. Cheap flights... A nice cruise to break her in
Do it
@@EverySingleSunday i live in Argentina and here the 790 r cost me 27.5k dollars and I bought 3 days ago the 1090 adventure r as a gift for my brother and cost me 32k dollars.
i repeat, this video helped me a lot thanks.
im currently seeing this vid 2020 KTM 790 Adventure R -VS- Single Track and its so good.
@@matiash.b8047 That's great, happy for you guys. Enjoy the bike and riding. I so work for a company called BikeBandit and do videos for their CZcams channel. I have 2 or 3 790 videos on their page.

@@EverySingleSunday ok thankss👌👌
Great video and content! Your level of production is amazing! Great job buddy! Inspired to step my game up! Looking right now for a 890 Rally. Lets ride soon! If I can't buy one I will build a better version!
Hell yes. Excited for you to get a big bike Tim
@@EverySingleSunday I have a 2020 1290 Adventure R that I use for camping, two up and commuting out to my dads but want to build something more like my Super Enduro. I was bare bones and as light as I could get a v twin. Currently looking for the Holy Grail a 890 Rally! If you happen to know of one I have cash ready to go! My quest continues tomorrow!
@@TRCa51 Its going to be tough to find a 890 rally. They pre-sold all US units so you will have to rely on someone backing out on one they ordered
That drone footage in the rocks was super cool. Well done
Thanks man. I need to get my drone fixed. I miss having it
@@EverySingleSunday it definitely adds a cool perspective, DBC has been using one on his faster dessert stuff, looks pretty rad.
Loved the drone shots on Carl's Jr. Helped us see the line you were taking and why you were stalling. Great video. I know it's extra work, but sooo cool to see another view
I love that thing. I have been using it as much as possible and feels it adds so much to the videos
Great footage and riding man 💪🏼 what drone were you using?
Shout out from South Africa ✌🏼
@@Dames55803 we're using a Skydio 2 for the filming
@@EverySingleSunday Damn! That sucka is $1000. Have you ever used a drone that tracked as well for like half that price?? Is collision avoidance what costs so much?
@@mem5922 it's 1700 once you get spare batteries, beacon, controller and spare parts. But it fly's itself like no other and I don't have to worry
Next time you run that section try your rally TC set at 5. The beauty of the 790 is the ability to dial in your TC so when you hit areas that are pure skree like this the bike can help you not churn through to the bottom of it. Also grab a Camel Tank Adventure 1 finger clutch kit. It'll get rid of that off/on switch feeling of the clutch. You should definitely come out to the KTM Adventure Rally this year and if possible run the ultimate race. It's a blast!
Is the Ultimate Race the thing they have at the ADV Rally or is that a separate thing?
You're a damn animal brother! Can't wait to see you manhandle that monster in person!
We'll get together soon and have some fun. Hopefully this shit storm blows over soon
Nice Video. Completed Big Bear Run 9X's. Those 4x4's clog up route all the time.
It's a long ass day on the bike. Hoping to be the first to complete it on an ADV bike
@@EverySingleSunday Quinn has already done it on both 1190 & 790. Helps when you ride factory supported bike.
Insane , what a champ
Having fun with it
Gr8 title, gr8 drone footage! Next time, your buddies need to carry 2-300lb packs to be fair. I had a mom's 990 and even with a throttle tamer....it HIT like a ton of bricks👍
I would feel bad making them do that. Already felt bad enough making them follow me up through these trails that they do not normally ride
That poor bike lol. Good riding!!
Incredible!!! I got my EPU flashed and now it doesn't stall all the time, I also geared it 15-46 (stock is 16-45).
I just picked up a dynojet from Rottweiler performance today as well as a 15 tooth front sprocket.
Glad to hear it made a big difference
How was your bike on the freeway. Does it still cruise at 75 to 80 or does it feel like it's straining?
@@EverySingleSunday I am not going on highways, I don't even have a toll sticker (I am in Austria). Twisty country roads only.
I wish I lived somewhere that was like that. My friends try and drag me out for regular people Adventure rides occasionally
I don't really like rocks much but love watching your videos the 790 not to sure about that bike it's very huge probably wouldn't ride something like that stick with my 250 Honda ty doug from gunnison CO
Rocks are the best. The 300 is too easy through this stuff. Had to switch it up a bit and try some thing new
Nice handling that big bike. I smoked my clutch in the snow on my 690. Now I steer clear of it.
Just need to make sure it's full engaged if you get on the gas. If you rev it and try to feather, it'll smoke
I remember taking my KLR 650 up and down some snow covered trails on an early spring ride in the north east. It was fun till I had to ride home 30 miles with very bent handlebars!
Haha, I once broke clutch handle, and had to get back home without using clutch ;
The hard days are the memorable ones for sure
AWESOME video with an Awesome bike! A few thoughts I'd like to share after watching: After fitting mine several days ago, I Highly recommend the Camel ADV 1-Finger Clutch upgrade, maybe the best upgrade for this bike! Highway Dirtbike hand guards are super beefy. Also, maybe go down 1 tooth on your front sprocket, which I'm sure you already knew. Keep up these Awesome vids, Cheers!
Thanks fir the good feedback. What all did the camel do for you besides make the clutch softer? I've thought about it but haven't had any "need" for it so far
Gearing is going to happen. Just wanted to try some stuff stock so I had a solid comparison for everyone
@@EverySingleSunday Camel ADV 1-Finger Clutch makes it feel like the hydraulic clutch on the dirt bikes, lightens the pull force & widens the friction zone by a LOT. It has 3 holes to choose from: Innermost hole (stock feel, Hardest clutch pull w/ Narrowest friction zone), Middle hole (a compromise) & Outermost hole (Easiest clutch pull w/ Widest friction zone, Oh Yeah!). Now I'm just waiting for ASV to put out some orange anodized Shorty clutch & front brake levers! They say hopefully this Summer. Once you try it, you'll wonder why KTM didn't design it that way from day 1.
@@TStriegel1977 I pulled one on someone else bike. The weight felt fine but wasn't a game changer. If the feel gets better, that's something I'm interested in.
I'm swapping my front end to the Rottweiler Single Caliper setup soon. This will replace the front Master cylinder / lever as well
@@EverySingleSunday What benefit do you expect from a single caliper setup? less weight?
@@progammler less unsprung weight so the suspension can react quicker. Also, a front brake that isn't too strong for dirt
wow~ my style!!!
Hard Dual!!! ^^
Thanks
I love it 👍
Thanks man, glad you're enjoying them
Electric start....What a blessing!
Lifesaver :)
Have you done the suspension on that big boy yet? If not, maybe talk with Precision Concepts as they are who did my 950ADV back in the day. Totally made it ride more like a "dirt bike!" Momentum is the friend of a big heavy bike! Eats whole tires for lunch!
Not yet. Stock has been okay so far but I do want to dial it in eventually
This channel I hit the like button before watch the video!
One question, do you like the trail tech gps you’re using bro?
I absolutely love it. I own 2
Great effort bro you should so same trail on a 690 enduro and compare 🤙🏻
Nothing like a jeep/crawling parking lot to ruin the day.... Never understood the appeal of the huge groups of those guys going out all at once.
Ya, I don't get it either. It reminds me of the car guys parked in parking lots showing off.
Could we please stop being mean? The re all enthusiastic about their hobbies like we all are. And they all like to hang out with friends. Let s stop judging for a sec
No ofence, and nice bike btw
Great ride, beautiful tracks indeed. The footage is awesome too. What drone were you using? Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much. Using a Skydio 2 for this video
Thanks for actually jamming off road on your 790. Everyone else just goes down smooth dirt roads calling it off roading. This is what I plan to do with my t7.
Thank man, glad you enjoyed it. The T7 Should be even better for the tech stuff than the 790. I want one as well
matty d curious how the T7 would be any better also..
@@bimfred I hear the T7 is supposed to be better bin technical stuff but not as solid at high speed. I'm definitely interested in them
Every Single Sunday Interesting. I wonder how? The ground clearance, weight and power of a T7 is the same as a Ducati Scrambler. Purely for reliability I would already have ordered a T7 if it was a little lighter and a little cheaper. And would have ordered a 690 if it had a tall 6th gear and space for two. Maybe the unicorn bike is just around the corner (something like a wr450r)
@matty d I have not ridden the t7 because I haven't seen one in the US yet. Cory from Camel ADV had both and he says for low-speed technical stuff that the Yamaha is a better bike, hands down.
Awesome video Travis! Your a lil crazy 😜. What tires are you running?
Dunlop 980 RR rear and a GT 216AA front
Good on ya.... 38 special on the 790R is going to be a feat bud....I hope you are considering running a front mousse for the BB run...cut down on the down time....As you know...it is important to be in the top 15 or so guys running out of the parking lot...need to get to M.S. trail before the crowd....pulling for you....
Front Mousse for sure and I'm still figuring out if I want to do a soft rear Mousse or TuBliss for that event.
Either way ... 38 Special is going to be a mess
MS got bulldozed. You could take a quad across it now :-/
@@EverySingleSunday Maybe a 2nd rear wheel at the truck so you can put a fresh tire on before 38...? I ran a rear mousse on my exc and it softened up by the time I got to 38. On the 790 though it may be mush by then hahaha
Like you I am going to change the gearing on mine. It looks like you have the same issue in the slow, slip the clutch stuff. Im going to start with down 1 on the countershaft and up 1 on the rear. Its not a huge change but a good start. Its has good gearing for the street but for off road they are a bit tall i think. Have fun!
Thanks Ron. I'm probably doing mine today if I have the time. Guessing it will be okay on the freeway Still. We'll find out
makes me want to get the tenere 700 and be as good as you guys one day lol then I can explore everything! question where did you get the beacon holder for the skydio
It was just a phone holder and some 3M Dual Lock. TrailTech has a killer metal lock on Mount for their GPS that I use for my beacon on my 300
And you should get a T7 when they come out. Looks like it'll be a rad bike to have
Insane! Wow.
Thanks Alex
me gusta esa moto KTM 790 ADVENTURE R. Tengo la GS 800 BMW. Pero quiero probar una KTM. Se ve divertida y exigente la ruta.
The 790 is un bien Moto :)
Si, se ve buena la moto. En el carl s dinner. Felicitaciones
That pipe is freaking HUGE!
Yep. Drops about 6 pounds going to a better slip on.
Great ride great video man, what about the suspension settings?Cheers from Greece!
Suspension is all stock. I think I'm 1 or 2 clicks firmer up froni
Great riding! Would love to see the 790 adventure with the rally kit 2020. I bet the ride would be way easier. 👍🏽
What do you mean by the rally kit? Or do.tou mean the rally model?
Every Single Sunday The rally model is there too but you can turn your 790 adv R into a rally by adding the rally adjustments parts
What do you mean by Rally adjustment parts. The only thing I want off the Rally model is the suspension
Every Single Sunday czcams.com/video/cAr_Vzb4jco/video.html Yeap, suspensions are most needed.
Nice drone footage.
I can't decide which was a worse idea. The rock runs or a 500 lbs adventure bike off road.
I think they're both great ideas 😊
It's too easy on the 300. This makes it fun and challenging
How tall are that mountains? That looks an amazing place to ride!! Snow and Sun / blue sky's---- Impressive
This is Big Bear, CA. I think it's 5-7 k feet. Not 100% sure
I love KTM and was also looking at the 1190,but I personally think the 790 is ideal for off roading and hitting the tar it's sufficient
The 790 actually does pretty good on the highway
If you plan on riding a lot of off-road, it crushes the big bikes in performance
I would like to see a video of your recording setup and stuff you carry for video. Also cover your gps and mapping. Tools and spare parts carried. Keep up the great video.
@everysingsunday
I have a video on my video setup if you scroll back a bit. And I just carry extra batteries
. I plan one doing one for the TrailTech as well. Just haven't done it yet
Wow, you make that look easy! Would love too se ya rip the 690 through there.
If we're taking single Cylinder bikes, I'll take a 300 2T any day
cool
Thanks
That was fantastic. Were there any problems afrer such tough rides, any damages happened to any parts?
Nah, bike is great 👍Been beaten on many rides after this one and haven't had any problems that aren't from me wrecking.
Great Video, which drone do you use and whats the remote on your handlebar?
Greetings from Germany
Dirk
It's a Skydio 2. The remote in the bars is the beacon for the drone
You sir, are a better man than I! I have been doing some bike moving...I HAD a 2013 Triumph Tiger 1200 ADV bike. Great bike, bit too big for me. (the dirt biker in me got in over my head w/ that 500 lb monster) We looked at the 790, but still too big, so I found a slightly used 2017 Husky 701 (buddy is gonna get the KTM690). Still getting used to it, and when the temps come up and this white shit in the CO mountains melts, gonna have some great rides. Oh! I finally traded in the WR450 and had first ride on my 2020 TX300i....WHAT a friggin BIKE! Good gawd, y'all! SO...gonna be an epic year for riding!
The 300 2T bikes are the best bikes there are. I got the 790 because I plan on attending the KTM Adventure Rally and it requires a 2 cylinder engine. Im absolutely loving the 790 so far. It feels so light when you're up on the pegs, yet it still is good for day trips and taking the woman out and about
@@EverySingleSunday I bet, I like the lower center of gravity gas tank, which has to help tremendously. Sounds like a fun trip.
@@EverySingleSunday BTW: What kind of back pack do you use? I got a drone and won't fit in current pack. Also, does yours have hydration?
Klim Nac Pac. Absolutely love it. 3L water plus room for my drone case. And a lot if other stuff
@@EverySingleSunday cool, thanks. Will look into it.
You’re making a good case that I should go with the 790 and not the 690.
2 very different bikes. the 790 is a 2 cylinder and has a huge tank. The 690 is moe sporty and is far more capable off-road. I have small bikes already and wanted something I could take to the KTM Adventure Rally .
Great looking bike. I'm guessing the 790 is a lot smoother than my old 640ADV. The LC4 motor will rattle the fillings out of your teeth, but it is pretty good in the dirt.
I haven't ridden the 640 but I believe that's a single Cylinder bike? But ya, the 790 is pretty dang smooth
@@EverySingleSunday Correct. A large shaking, everything rattling single.
Hi , great video and skill . What drone is it ...skydio 2 ?
Yes, Skydio 2. Thanks
How about a smaller countershaft sprocket for the big girl so she will crawl better 😉
It's in the garage and going on this weekend. That's covered in the video also :)
Greta vid. Did you lower your stock gearing any?
I have not yet. I have a 15t front sprocket in my garage that I plan on putting on very soon
Hurts watching this.. Those rocks would make me turn on any bike 😂

Best KTM 790 Adventure R video on youtube to date. Great editing and drone footage!
Looking forward to your opinion once you change the front sprocket. Also what drone is that?
It's a Skydio 2 drone. I'll post up as we continue to keep working on the bike. Thanks
#HARDADV !!!
That what it is about
Hi, great video! What drone do you use? And have you tried any other drones to record your rides? Thanks.
I have a Skydio 2. This is the only one I have used. But it's the only one currently available that I would buy. Every other drone is dumb and runs into stuff
Great ride!
Which drone do you use?
Thanks much. It's a Skydio 2
Nice riding! I got a 2nd set of wheels for my 790R so that I can switch between adventure tires and propper offroad tires for days like this. I want to gear it down as well as the first gear is quite long and I bet replacing the clutch is going to be a lot more expensive than on a 300cc... Stock rear sprocket is a 45 - you think going up to 48 will be enough? Thanks!
I'm going to go to a 15 up front to start. As for clucth, I'm going to the Rekluse but not the auto Clutch. Heard it lasts well. Also, fill oil to the top of the small circle in the oil sight glass.
@@EverySingleSunday thanks!
Did you change the settings for the conditions? Like Rally mode with a slip of 5? I am curious if the slick areas would have been easier with a different riding mode. Nice riding, BTW!
In chunky areas it better to have it at 1 so it grabs when you have some traction. If you put it at 5 it won't go anywhere. Same as in sand.... Turn it off
I was curious did you try any of the traction control levels on the hill climbs? it looked like you stayed at level 1 which is no involvement.
Traction control doesn't seem to work well on inconsistent surfaces (rocks) or in extremely loose surfaces (deep sand)
Plus.... I'm a dirt bike guy and like knowing what the throttle will do.
So, I usually run it in 1 most the time
Also, 1 still offers a little interference. You can also select to turn it completely off but it resets every time the bike is turned off / stalls
when i ride with my 790 , I choose OFF ROAD mode and I take off ABS and traction
Clutch control is traction control
Very nice man! What drone are you using here?
Skydio 2
Need a Rekluse on that thing!
No auto clucth allowed. I have a smaller Sprocket and a powercomander for it. Should be solid at that point
Dammit, I'm getting one.
Not a bad decision
I have aged out of even thinking of torturing my body and bike on those trails. And I take the baby line through the tree and off to the sides on Gold Mountain on my Beta 498. I'm curious as to the damage expenses on the bike doing the full Big Bear Run. I'm really curious as to seeing it get up 38 Special!! BTW, good job on you and your riding buddies getting through some of those rough sections!!
Thanks Chris. I love the rocks and the harder lines usually. This thing is making me rethink so many things.
And ya... I need to go get some laps on 38 Special and see how it does. If it's at the start of the run this year and there's people everywhere.... I'm going to be screwed. It's all about momentum on this pig
@@EverySingleSunday For sure!! And very smart of you taking the hard lines on the John Bull loop. That's actually not a bad trail on a small bike. But when it's loaded with lines of jeeps then it turns into a nightmare.
Hi, you need to check out Chris Birch vids. You will be blowing away where he rides these big bike
Chris works for KTM as a Adventure Bike ambassador. He's finished Top 10 at Erzberg a couple times.
That guy is the best if the best on an ADV Bike.
He's in a completely different level
Also worth checking are Marco Iob's videos, especially most recent with also 790 r
Wow that is some hard riding! For sand and desert roads it would seem to be a lot easier than that rocky horror! :)
Thinking about this bike for Las Vegas desert. What do you think?
Unless you're a pretty good writer I really do not recommend this bike for anything Sandy
thinking of 500 EXC would probably be much better if you don't plan on doing a lot of road riding. If you do, maybe a 690
@@EverySingleSunday Well surely the 790 would be better in sand than the Africa twin? You have to ride a ways and need some range in Las Vegas to do some riding. At least the kind I am thinking of, Adv.
Good lord. KTM should put this in their promotional material. I don't know how you wrangled a 790 in this stuff.
Just posted a fun fast flowy Singletrack video with the bike
Way beyond my skill level!
All about that practice
stock gearing? great video
Yes, still stock gearing in this video
Which Skydio beacon mount is that? Nice riding!
It's a Roxkform mount with Velcro on it
Nice video! So what tire, tube, and psi set up do you have?
I was on a Dunlop 908 RR in the back with a GT 216aa up front
I usually run around 25 Pai for offroad on this bike
@@EverySingleSunday thanks for the reply. So tubed, tubeless, Mousse, or Tubliss?
At first I was puzzled why you killed engine so often on Carl's jr but then I realized it was just to help syncing the sound with drone view 😁 Great stuff!
Only one 'complaint', do not cut away the footage where you need to figure out how to turn bike and maybe need to wrestle for minutes with the big girl on places that are nothing for light enduro bikes. Or make an extended raw version for us junkies..
I tried to leave as much in but it just starts to drag in the video. The bike is just overgeared in stock form. I'll be dropping the front 1 tooth for sure and seeing if we need to add a few to the back as well. Thanks for the feedback
@@EverySingleSunday yep, not very offroad friendly gearing. I went with front -1, rear +3 tooth on mine.
@@finrampe were you able to use the stock chain? Also, does it still work on the highway for doing 75 or 80.... Or is it topped out?
@@EverySingleSunday Needs longer chain and I also wan't some clearance between rear tire and swingarm. Can't confirm on hw speeds yet as it's still winter here..
@@finrampe thanks, much appreciated
