    Every review I've seen has said the same thing "the fuel tank is way too small." Come on Nissan PLEASE put a larger fuel tank in the XD! 36 gallon minimum. I wish you would have videoed towing your trailer but please keep the vids coming it's helping me with my decision of buying one or not.

      Next time I hook it up, I will make a video of me pulling it.
      Hopefully in the mountains soon too. Should be within the next couple of weeks taking a couple of more trips, so I’ll definitely make a few short videos of it.
      Yeah the 26 gallon is small for a truck anyway, but especially for an HD truck.
      However the easy fix like I said is keep a gas can or 2 with you maybe for emergencies.
      I feel like we really feel that consequence of a smaller fuel tank here in altitude with how much harder naturally asperated engines work.

      @@cutsautoam I'm looking hard at the XD and have it between it and a F-250 gas. My local Nissan dealership has an XD but I cant find an F-250 anywhere so it may be the XD. I don't really pull over 10K so the XD should fit my needs just fine and being at sea level the truck should perform a little better. I appreciate the vids you're putting out, there's just not a lot out there on the XD gas with the 9 speed.

      @@Aggieland79 for me it was also between the xd and an f250. What I could get with the xd creature comforts wise and price was a no brainer compared to the 250. Especially since the interior of the super duty is crap if you don’t at least get a lariat.

    I bought a 2019 XD Cummins also loaded and I love it. I did have an 07 Titan and do feel the difference. I was looking for a gas version of an XD but the grades here in the Sierra Nevada made me think twice.

    • @cutsautoam
      @cutsautoam  Před 2 lety +3

      Yeah there are some pretty knarly grades here in Colorado that I take when I go up to the mountains, but my old F150 did just fine, our Armada did just fine, and I’m sure that this will do just fine too. It would be nice to have less of the “screaming” v8 rpms with a diesel, but I didn’t really want to deal with a diesel. Glad I don’t have to pay those diesel prices right now either 😬

      @@cutsautoam yeah I hear you about the diesel prices but the gas truck will just be screaming up the grades almost redlining it. The Cummins holds 65 up any grade I throw at it and it’s way under redline

      Yep. I notice it occasionally.
      I think it’s just the downshift into 1st and it’s only noticeable when it shifts down a little early before stopping all the way.

    First time I saw a video from you. The video was good and informative. I'm considering buying one so I'm very curious about positive and negative information about the Nissan Titan. From all the videos I've seen, I think it's a nice car. The only thing I'm worried about is that the car uses so much petrol. Petrol is very expensive and it will be more expensive with all the electric cars that are produced and will drive on the roads. So how do you view that problem ??? Let's say in 5 - 7 years where there are many more electric cars than now and petrol is probably much more expensive than it is now. Can you make a video about your thoughts on petrol prices now in 2022 and in 5 - 7 years where prices are probably much higher. Is it smart to buy a Nissan Titan petrol powered V8 ???

    • @cutsautoam
      @cutsautoam  Před 2 lety +1

      Before deciding to go with the Titan, I did consider how the market is evolving these days, seemingly heading towards the more “green” and “eco friendly” power train options.
      Sure, the price of petroleum products has been increasing, at an alarming rate lately. That being said, the market has done this before many times where prices skyrocket and then it drops like a stone. So 5-7 years from now who knows how much it will be. Might even be significantly less expensive for petrol with the more electric vehicles there are simply due to supply and demand.
      I think the way that the world governments are operating are definitely trying to push the agenda of a certain side of the political spectrum, and in doing so they’re trying to phase out petroleum all together. (This is an argument for another day perhaps on why that is a terrible idea)
      The world we have built as a society is so largely dependent on petroleum, it will be extremely difficult to get rid of within the next 10, 15, maybe even 20+ years without doing serious irreparable damages to our infrastructure and economy in which the way that it operates today.
      Back to your more relevant to this truck questions though…I chose to go with the thirsty V8 mostly for dependability and reliability. This 5.6 is tried and true and I am not worried about it having any serious issues, if any.
      It is more dependable from a towing perspective over the turbo v6 engines because it isn’t working as hard to move extra weight and pushing those turbos to the max, which inevitably makes them wear out faster and easier.
      I’ve had turbo charged vehicles in the past, they’re fun but they are costly in maintenance too.
      The electric trucks are badass, no doubt about that. I would have bought one over the Titan if it weren’t for practicality rearing it’s ugly head in this new and still developing stage of life for electric vehicles, ESPECIALLY trucks.
      They advertise miles per charge around 400. That is with every possible best driving condition, WITHOUT towing anything, and probably without using any features other than just driving (no radio, no heat, no air, no A/C, driving like a granny, barley stoppping or not stopping at all, etc..) so someone like me that loves my creature comforts because I’m a boujee bitch, and also needs to tow a trailer occasionally, would be lucky to see half of that range on any given day.
      Not to mention the lack of charge stations on any route that I would ever take. I don’t live in the city, and even when I’m there I haven’t noticed an abundance of charge stations.
      The technology needs to be tweaked a little more and be tried and true for me to jump on that train. I am excited to see the direction that it’s heading in though. In the meantime, I’ll stick with the simple, yet effective V8.
      Is it smart to buy a V8…? I feel like that’s a “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder “ sort of answer, yet applied to a vehicle. For my own personal needs right now both in and outside of my line of work, for what this truck brings to the table, HELL YES is was a smart decision.
      That being said, I wanted a truck that I could look at every day and have it put a grin on my face when I look at it, and when I drive it. This one does exactly that. I didn’t want a Ford, a Chevy, a Ram… I wanted a Titan. So I bought one.

      @@cutsautoam I just sold my V8 diesel and am considering buying a Nissan Titan.
      I think it is nice and then it has everything I need.
      I do not like electric cars at all but more and more electric cars are coming on the roads in Europe.
      I live in Europe and the country I live in, they say they are working on that in 2030 no more petrol and diesel cars will be sold.
      Only electric cars and I think that's awful.
      I love the sound from the petrol and diesel engines. The bigger they are the better.
      The US is far behind Europe in the green space and that worries me when it comes to cars with V8 petrol and diesel.
      Too many electric cars are popping up on the roads and this is proof that many people are buying electric cars instead of petrol and diesel.
      Several countries in Europe have by law reduced the prices of electric cars so that buyers have to choose the electric cars instead of the more expensive petrol and diesel.
      This means that Europe will soon stop buying oil and thus force the United States to switch to electric cars because it will not pay off for the oil countries to continue drilling for oil.
      I know it's boring and I hate the thought.
      But I've fallen in love with the Nissan Titan so am going for an Titan.
      Thanks for your reply and have a good day.

      @@roykilgour9790 I do know that Europe in general is really heavy set on electric vehicles and renewable energy, etc… so that could be the result of why you see so many more electric cars over there.
      I agree 100%, the growling sound of a V8 is unmatched. This 5.6 has one of the best sounds of a v8 too In my humble opinion.
      Good luck in your Titan searches! Hope you find a good one.

    • @cutsautoam
      @cutsautoam  Před 2 lety +3

      It did great!
      I’m curious to see how it performs in a couple of weeks going up the mountains.
      On my more flat trip it would rev high like normal to get moving up the hills, but then start to level out once it was at the speed I wanted then it shifted up to drop the Rpms.
      Once at cruising speed my RPMs were around 2300-2700 for most of the highway trip. Without Tow mode on.
      I’ll have tow mode on in the mountains to help with the downhill engine braking.
      Overall it performed very well.
