what a beauty a real car built back in the days when cars were a work of art not the robot made cookie cutter perfect exact replicas of one another that cars are today man i would love one of these cars :)
This is one of the nicest 57's that I've seen in a while. I like that it's kind of a mild restomod and they retained most of the original look.

My uncle has one. 350 small block I believe to be putting out about 400 hp. It was used for racing but since he bought he doesn't want to "abuse" it

Hello, my name is Darrian, i'm from Chambersburg, PA, which isn't to far from Carlisle. I have a '57 Chevy Bel Air post hot rod, and was wondering, if the next time you come up to the Carlisle car shows, if you wanted to film it. I can tell you, what all I had done to it. it's a hot rod, but has more of an original paint, which is green and white, and has a really nice paint job. but i eventually want to get it painted a chrome yellow, just like the '32 Ford deuce coupe in American Graffiti or project x. and i would have the Bel Air trim taken off, and certain decals taken off. it has a 283, that was souped up. 4 barrell edelbrock carb, edelbrock intake, K&N 5x9 air filter, patriot headers, and a mild cam, and stainless steel valve covers, 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust and smithy's glasspack mufflers, and the exhaust is straight all the way through and a 700r4 transmission with a Lokar 16 inch shifter on the floor. softer springs in the front, a Grant hot rod steering wheel with the holes in the center, and i'll even be putting 275 hot rod tires in the back and keep 205s in the front. i'm also running a dual performance throttle spring. I could also meet you in Carlisle, etc. when that time comes. I'm also into working out, and workout at one of the local gyms.

My two dream cars are a '57 Chevy hot rod and a 1970 Chevelle ss 454 Ls6 turbo jet 450 horsepower. Muscle car. Then I'll have 1 hot rod and 1 muscle car.

Times were a little different then, that's for sure. Now, they really try to narrow down the choices.

I was gonna post some pictures of my dad's old 383 we built for his 68 Camaro SS idk if that's possible though. these are amazing lil engines they love to run and they're torquey as shit in the lower end they pull hard. this is a heavy ass car too the Maro was lighter
and it's all just old school
hot rodder tricks learned right here on the streets of California and nation wide so i respected that. bored it out reinforce the cylinders so you can throw more air and fuel in there and adjust the pull and throw of the cam so your Pistons move up and down slightly more and give more compression. my dad and my grandfather were always building a bike or a vehicle of some kind so I grew up with that. there's nothin sweeter than the gurgle of an old V8 the smell alone gets me going we have such a rich automotive history here in the US and its up to guys and gals like us from the younger generations now to keep these beauties rumbling down the road so we don't forget a very important piece of our heritage not to mention it's a blast to punish the pavement every now and then. I always thought my dad and Grandpa were just stuck in their ways and didn't want the past to leave them but I get it now it's much deeper than having a flashy car to show off for ME at least it is it's about giving homage to our past and keeping that car culture going

Is this a GM performance crate engine? I saw on their website you can get a 383 motor with over 400 hp.

What's the difference between bel air?
Lower trim level. Base car was the 150, then 210, BelAir being the highest trim level with the nicest interior, more paint options, more exterior chrome trim.
