  • Lost Mountain trails, the nicer people of Colombia, the sacred snow of El Cocuy and endless valleys and mountain pass: this week we drive all the way up to 4000 meters.
    Last week we completed our loop to the north of the country in the desertic costal region of La Guajira. This week we leave the heat of the coast and seek fresher climate in the mountains. Gradually we climb through the windy trails of Colombia in search for new landscapes and new culture. We find amazing people in remote corners of the mountains all the way to the door of the Andes.
    That is it: we know we are finally in South America now. There is a new vibe to it we can feel it.
    Next week we continue to travel in Colombia, to be sure you do not miss what is coming up next: subscribe to the channel!
    Until next week: take care!

    Who would have ever thought that Colombia had Landscapes this beautiful. These landscapes in this video that you were showing us are very unusual, especially at the higher elevations has to be one of the most beautiful rarest landscapes in the world. It's very impressive how just a day or two ago it was tropical and now it's cold and you have to wear coats. You really outdid yourself with the Drone footage on this video. This is definitely in my top 10 favorite videos that you have done and top 10 landscapes. That's right you are getting into the Southern Hemisphere and they are in winter. All the country south of you are in winter but you will probably only experienced snow at high elevations. You both did a beautiful job this video. 👍🏻👍🏻🌞🙏🏻🙏🏻

You made it through, again! I worry that one day you will have to drive 50 miles in reverse when one of these narrow roads doesn't let you through, but if it happens, I expect you'll make a great video out of it. Some Q20 or Q10 (I think.. silicon based instead of oil) for those pesky locks my friends... not just the fuel cap, the other locks as well. No comment on the rest of the video yet, I just started watching.

      @@NextMeridianExpedition the episode was great, thank you! Oil in the locks may have the dust cling to it. This may cause more problems. Hence, a good clean with an alcohol based cleaner, and a silicon spray to protect from damp, especially sea water, should do the trick. Safe travels!!

    Very nice, and really fantastic drone views. I just subscribed, but one request please: Could you please set your volume to a CONSTANT level. While enjoying the beautiful views, I felt the need to adjust the volume on my tv constantly as you switch from music to talking. Thanks. Look forward to much more content from you and wishing you both and your vehicle safe travels.

    One year no work… getting money from Patrons… what a life… I need to go to work every day… but carry on to be a great example for the young generation

      We worked several years to save the money for this trip. Patreon and CZcams came only very recently and only partially cover our expenses. We are a very small channel in the great CZcams game and people with a channel our size don’t make a living of it. It it important to understand that

    how many days was this? It seemed like you went so fast through the content.... I really enjoy french films, and the french attitudes, so I hope you guys keep making adventures... Dont be afraid to go more in depth, such as a whole conversation or a 3 minute drive through the mountain. The scenery was so beautiful, it felt like you were trying to get through it all.... As someone from Texas, it definitely made me laugh as you make Tacos and act like its something very special. in Texas, tacos are just an every day kind of thing lolz. If you enjoyed tacos that much, you really should leave in some cooking, and the ingredients in the tacos. If you enjoy it, leave it in so we can enjoy it too!!!

    First one question, on these roads, what is the maximum vehicle width possible und is 4x4 needed? Thanx for sharing, awesome sceenery !! Keep on going, abo set. ;) Cheers

      @NextMeridianExpedition  Před rokem

      Hi Tom! Thanks for joining us!!!! It really depends, most of those if it is not rainy I think only high clearance is enough. Under or after heavy rain some section might need 4x4 but definitely not all those roads. Local people go with normal cars

    • @NextMeridianExpedition

      Width I honestly don’t know… but you see we cross into small trucks so that s possible you might just regret when you cross into someone hahah

    • @NextMeridianExpedition

      We are mostly financing our trip on our savings despite CZcams and Patreon. Clearly not buying watches with our travel money. Don’t assume things when you don’t have the elements 😅. Anyways. Yes they are expensive older editions on the model and second hand works magic ;)
