guys as a manga reader , you need to look at this show from a different perspective There is a reason why everyone trusts Takemichi to defeat tenjiku even tho he is the weakest, look at Shinichiro for example, everyone literally worship him,they all say he is the best leader ever ,mikey said this himself that Shinichiro was weak as hell when it comes to fighting, but still even the strongest dudes in the gang respect Shinichiro, thats because its not the "strongest" people who keeps fighting till the end ,lets say if toman is on a war against a gang and someone more stronger than mikey comes along and defeats him in the war then toman kind of just lost the fight cause they already lost their strongest man and now there is no hopes of winning,thats where you need people like Shinichiro and Takemichi cause yes you know they are weak as hell and they cant fight even a bit but they keep fighting till the end even when everyone else is defeated , thats why everyone trusts them cause you know they got your back no matter what happens,you have seen this countless amount of times with Takemichi, in s1 everyrone where defeated in toman but Takemichi being the most weakest man in that whole thing , doesn't even know how to fight is still fighting when the strong ones are are laying on the ground thinking they are gonna get defeated,same again in s2 ,mitsuya,chifuyu,hakkai all were beaten up and Takemichi was almost beaten to death but that man kept on fighting even when the people stronger than him accepted defeat ,thats what a true leader is! There is a quote "its not about how much you can hit, its about how much you can get hit and keep getting back up "
If you have to explain this to people after the conversation takimichi and mikey had after beating taiju then they should just drop the show because clearly they want nothing more than an average or above average powerful main character 🤷🏽♂️ shows like Vinland saga and opm are gems but this anime stands out to me because of the way all the characters in the show treats the “weakest” MC
This season isn’t holding back, I loathe Kisaki which just makes him such a great villain. Mikey losing the person he loves most was just devastating, even though I knew it was coming I still cried.
.... Emma didn't deserve that. She NEVER did anything that got her to die like that. Kisaki is a DEMON. It was bad enough that Mitsuya and Kawata got jumped, but Kisaki just HAD to aim for Mikey's half sister, his source of comfort. I always thought it was strange that no matter what future Takemichi was in, Emma was never there. Now we know why... 💔
Both times I read the manga I sobbed for at least half an hour, and once again during this episode. Animated it beautifully, captured all the emotion of the manga. Will miss you Emma :(
He didnt have to know who they were attacking If u see guys coming at u with clear intent to harm and there is a girl nearby ur first instinct should be to guard her not to cover ur face like a little B*%ch.... Even if u thought they were coming for u ud take some kind of defensive action again not cover ur eyes like a little B*%ch

Kisaki wants Takemichi dead because he is the biggest threat to his plans, plus at the moment all the tomen captains are being targeted, with those factors in mind it's perfectly reasonable to believe he was the target. Also go read this chapter in the manga, its shown much better there, because the anime dragged this scene out, when it happens over about 4 seconds, and 4 manga panels, so it's almost instantaneous.

Its a bike going at about 100 miles an hour and the guy with the bat is the guy who wants Takemichi dead of course he would think he was the target. If Takemichci took the heat he would be dead.
Kisaki literally tried to shoot him last time they saw each other. He also knows that Tenjiku is fighting dirty against Toman. His first thoughts are gonna be that he’s getting attacked and he needs to protect himself.
