If Timo Werner played for Leipzig until this season and didn’t have his spell at Chelsea then the negative bias from some supporters wouldn’t be there! Werner had 44 combined goals/assists in 2 seasons for Chelsea and has the most goals/assists in Leipzig’s history. I am frustrated with Werner’s lack of composure in front of goal but he is an effective player who is worth being a squad player in addition to a couple of other new forwards.

I think those first 10 games were compromised Ange ball to get results. Ange said in a recent interview it was important to get results early so the players believe in the system. Now I think we’re seeing a real Ange team take shape which is why the results have been less consistent but the overall team is improving every game.
You need to start watching games. Weve massively regressed, were back to playing 45 mins a game, were devoid of ideas in the final 3rd, our plan B is sticking with Plan A. If this is the real Ange team taking shape, were in trouble.
We put Sonny back on the wing and Timo as backup. Get a top class striker and no 6 plus top back up RB and we are sorted

Good to see you back and sorry to hear about your health issue's. Almost certain a lot of activity this summer with so many players out on loan getting moved on permanently because its obvious A.P doesnt want them ( academy players aside ) Then we need to cover certain positions that arent currently covered right now - RB comes to mind plus LCB. - Striker & DM plus possibly another GK...... You only have to look at the players on the bench where upgrades are needed. Covering 11 positions like for like wont be easy - think thats why ange said it will take a few windows to sort things out.

Need quality defensive 6 a lefty CB nIco Williams and Jimenez. Werner and Johnson off the bench in the second half would blow up defensive lines...madders needs competition also. The squad is being built and ange's ream are always better in the 2nd year....its his impact players that kill teams when it's on. It's the same with the top 3 in any league.

I don't expect major spending in the summer maybe I'm wrong but history says young up and coming players coming in after spending all summer looking at player x.
As for kulu and Johnson, Johnson may get there kulu hasn't been there for nearly 2 seasons now he may not get better then he is.

We have too many players that are simply not good enough. If Levy signs Werner, it will be a massive mistake, we don't need another player that's not good enough. We need to out so many players and we need to sign some players that are a much better quality than we have right now.
I personally think we need to sign a top quality keeper for starters, Vicario is suspect at corners and crosses. Another left sided centre back, a solid, quality number 6, then a complete new front 3, with a striker that knows where the back of the net is, and a left and right winger that can deliver early crosses. Postecoglou and Levy had better get an early start to the summer window, or we'll be having yet another season where we get nowhere.

Our strikers are the weakness, but so is our midfield (Bissouma and Hojberg are just not enough). Our defense is solid, but we need another fullback. If porro or udogie get injured (or stop performing) the best we have is Royal.

Definitely need 4 quality signings in the summer and ship out 8/9 who don’t fit Angeball or simply not good enough. We all forget we already have a potential new signing if he can get fit, Soloman! Not seen enough of him but on paper and few cameos I’ve seen, he fits the winger profile for Angeball. Where do we see Bergvall playing? Surely he could be the Madders back up when he’s injured, out of form or needs a rest?

In answer to your question, I wouldn't have expected the players to take quite so long in figuring out the Ange system, but perhaps I am being unfair. If the manager is a good communicator in regard to what he wants on the pitch, what would you see as a reasonable time for the right behaviours to set in?

Hi Sean. Ange ball went out the window at Chelsea. Its only a month ago we got back to having a near comparable starting 11. Ange ball works and will work better as the squad improves quality.

Yes, we are judging way too fast. We have coaches to coach! We seem to have these conversations as if it's just about the money and who we can poach from other teams. Look at VDV - no one knew who the guy was. Seriously, think outside the paradigm for a change. Ange is a great manager, give him time, he's already smashing it.

The way I see it from the attacking point of view, Sean, is that we need much more of an aerial threat down the middle, a distinct weakness of Sonny. Richarlison, I feel, is a more than adequate back-up, but not a starter in this system. So who would I get rid of? Well, Skipp, Davies, N'dombele, Gil, Sessegnon, Hjonberg (although it pains me to say it) and Tanganga are the obvious candidates, which is a big ask. Richarlison and Werner, I'd keep.
The only player we'll sign from Leipzig is Werner, unfortunately. Liverpool had to pay the release clause for Szoboszlai. They won't sell for cut-rate prices. Simakan has a release clause of €70m.
In my opinion Werner is a no brainer transfer where are you going to get a player with his quality for 15m approx he is starting to score goals and is giving assists regularly and seems to understand AP type of football Sean even did an overlay of stats with him and Williams and he came out most top enuff said....

Love him though I see him with his lack of taking on his man and like you say always prefers to cut inside due to his lack of speed? I see another Andros Townsend,. We need much more from our wide players. This cutting inside is way to easy for defenders to work him out. I may be wrong however, it’s how I see it. If Milan who seems to have an interest in Kulu and the Arabs for Richarlison . I say if a good offer comes in for both players in the summer? Sell… Sell… Sell
The bit I want to see work well is the midfield/fullback trackback.

I was doing my pieces when we signed Le Celso as Olmo was on the move at the same time and I was gutted we didn't get him in. He'd be a great signing.

I think the Brennan johnson slander is kinda just hysteria and not wanting to see the proof in the pudding, he didn’t have preseason, he got injured early in the season, but since being healthy and being a regular he’s looked better every week, at this point it feels like he’s creating dangerous chances and threatening to score a goal every week, legit crazy, when he becomes more comfortable with taking on a player and his finishing improve slightly he will be a threat to win the player of the year in the epl
How about a cheeky bid for Cole Palmer.
Two other points to consider... We do need to shore up the homegrown quota and little is being said on that subject, which is why all the talk of Tosin and Gallagher, neither of whom I want at the club. The other point is that, given other clubs' FFP and SPR problems, we should have a distinct advantage in the market which we should go all out to capitalise on.

Think we need a LW (Nico Williams perfect) and an inverted right winger that is an upgrade on kulu thats left footed but still can use his right foot and is quicker.

I think the injuries after those early games made us believe we were on the right track but just unfortunate that injuries hit. More and more I feel that though they impacted us they rather covered the reality that other teams were starting to see the strengths and weaknesses and were looking at ways to negate some of the strengths and take advantage of the weaknesses
Whilst better teams will tend to play their natural game and weaker teams don't always have the players capable od taking advantage of weaknesses none the less teams have been able to take advantage of our defensive weaknesses and offset some of our strengths
As for players I don't think some are necessarily poor players simply not the best for certain role demands in Postie's game
Sure some players will be a better fit, sure some players will expand their game and familiarity will help but I'm not convinced our style and balance even with better players will ever be good enough to win anything whilst we are so open at the back. Maybe that's why we are being linked to different defenders. In Romero and Mickey we have two of the best CB's in the PL but yet our defence is wide open and our full backs are not good defenders. Udogie is still learning and should improve, Porro doesn't look anything like a good defender. A great addition to the attack and a very enthusiastic player but no defender
For sure we could use a dedicated quality 6 but that would leave us with only 1 cm in the current set up, so somewhere along the way we have to change our game plan and bring a bit more balance between defence and attack. So it will be interesting who we add in summer and to our pre season games

Hi Sean, you can argue that Man city and Liverpool has only one way of playing, it took them five or six seasons of Pep and Klopp perfecting there style with transfer windows and coaching. We all knew they will be bumbs on the road, some are down to players coming back from injury and not hitting there stride while others were over played and the season has now caught up with them.
Nico Williams' USP is he can play both wings. We don't seem to be linked to many wingers who can do both
That said, a solid 6, a left winger, a center forward and a back-up left back are priorities. There are question marks over Lo Celso and, lately, Kulu, but I'd be inclined to keep both. Let's not forget, we have Vuskovic, Veliz and Bergvaal to come in, but all are too young to be expected to have a significant impact.

Werner and Williams in , olmo definitely in and sesko would be one hell of a window and we’d also need someone better suited to cover at left sided centre back , trouble is we also need a upgrade on Bissouma and better quality cover at both left and right back which obviously isn’t all going to happen in the summer , the thing that concerns me the most though is Deki’s regression this season it doesn’t look like he’s improving much at all and obviously you have to take his age into account but he’s been below par quite often this season and also isn’t a natural fit to ange ball
Maybe Timo would switch positions to being a centre forward to free up space for Nico Williams to enter the squad. Timo would ideally be the backup for the main striker who could be Santiago Gimenez. Please sign Williams and Gimenez Ange. Please also sign Xavi Simons, Conor Gallagher, Alfie Doughty and finally Piero Hincapie
Since Xavi Simons is planning to leave Leipzig if they're not qualifying for the champions league. It's an advantage for us but his ideal destination is PSG since he's still on loan from PSG. But he will only return to PSG to replace Mbappe if he were to leave which is a disadvantage. Hugo Larsson is anyways another superb option.

The definition of "Angeball" means that in order to play against it, other teams will have to play in a way that they won't be familiar with. Spurs will get better at it, other teams won't.
Agree that Richarlison just doesn't seem to be working out at Spurs, he'd be the first of the attacking players I think we should sell and get him to a club where he'll shine. I watch the Bundesliga every week, Benjamin Šeško's name comes up quite a bit. As does Dani Almo.

Personally dont think so because ange has already said he would prefer 2 x £50m players than 1 x £100m player ! plus we always get our fingers burnt when we go big money ! Sounds like we are writing off n,dombele & gil - sess has'nt any sell on value and loads more losses to come on players like spence and reguilon. Ange has done ok buying shrewdly. We should learn from the n,dombele experience and be wary of foreign clubs demanding well over the top prices and offering silly wages to players with ability but attitude problems. As for release transfer clauses - foreign clubs put them in there for english clubs that come calling and what they label " silly english money " thats enough to beware you are going to be ripped off - Levy should know !
Let’s not forget Lucas Bergvall will be at Tottenham next season. While he is young, he could fill-in behind at Madison at CM.

Regarding Sesko ('The Sesko Kid'), is he as good with his feet as he is with his head, and what would make him a better option than perhaps Gimenez from Feyenoord, or even Isak from Newcastle or Ivan Toney, who both have the advantage of having already played in the EPL, so they already know the level of intensity and physicality expected, rather than someone coming in and having to learn 'on the job' as it were.
