- Ep#19 of Forts of India: Gwalior Fort is a hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India. The fort has existed at least since the 10th century, and the inscriptions and monuments found within what is now the fort campus indicate that it may have existed as early as the beginning of the 6th century. India is lucky to have such a beautiful fort.....our country is so rich and self determined in every field that whether it is architecture or culture we don't need to even peep towards western culture
Giving opportunity for folk dancers, singers n historians is highly appreciable. Keep up the good work

Nice documentry
Sorry i want to ask... did people used to build city or town inside the fort?
It seems to me that the fort is very large and had a lot of empty spaces, so i assume people also build settlement inside of it
Btw thanks for uploading this beautyful documentary 🙏
Yes of course. A fort is a city with critical infrastructure. Most housings were probably wooden or brick based. Agriculture used to happen on the fields but people used to stay inside the fort. Also during war, people were lodged inside the fort.
Is not Tajul Ma'asir a book? It is wrong stated as a historian in the documentary.
:)
Between Tomars and Marathas Mughals and Bamrolias came
revision 😇
Doordarshan par english bolna jaruri hai??? Indiaki bhasha kya hai pata nahi hai kya?
It's so that people all across the country can watch it, people in the south and east don't speak hindi.
It's GWALIOR not Gwaliar, please double check the spelling.
being a national channel it's shameful not to know the proper names of the city
Also, the map shown is totally wrong, Gwalior is in the top center.
This why people never follow DD :( :/
Since it is a proper noun in English there is nothing wrong in spelling the name as either Gwalior or Gwaliar.
EDTHODU JAMAL KOYA JAMAL but that's how it is spelled everywhere
@@giridharzinta Its a non english word so either is applicable.
mughalssssssssssssssssssssss
No mulle - Gwalior fort is not mughal in any way - nor the temples or the design...it predates Babar by 4-5 century
